Kevyn Adams needs to make a few astute trades and FA signings to improve blueline depth and a veteran goalie to pair with Levi would be best, but I expect playoffs next year. I'm not convinced that Davis can do well on the short and intermediate routes, so his best usage is rather exclusively the long ball. It's true that inadequacies on the oline affected him perhaps more than other receivers. He doesn't have to be WR2 to run the deep routes, however.

He does well once he gets going. He's not that good with short and intermediate routes -- but he also has drops when he is wide open.

I think he's a low end 2. I know you and Shaw and various others judge differently. At best, he is adequate and I don't think he's consistent enough to merit that ascription. He would thrive as a third option who catches the long ball.

The Knights never trailed in the series, so your persistent effort to make the Vegas hockey team a center of discussion was always in the context of a less than favored franchise that was in an advantageous position. If you think to call that out is dishonest, I suggest you are not thinking well enough.

I believe Kincaid is going to be very good. If this was his second year, I think one could anticipate he might emerge as a second threat the opposing D has to account for. But that's a lot to ask from a rookie, so Hopkins, while a risk, more than likely fulfills that role. On paper, it would be a very potent offensive roster that should open up the entire field and create uncertainty on the other side of the ball. Even without Hopkins, if Dorsey takes advantage of all the weapons, it should be a much more versatile offense. Hopkins just adds that degree of stress associated with a special talent with a habit of clutch plays. I am guessing veteran edge is plan B if Hopkins goes elsewhere.

Nonetheless, he's disappeared in quite a few playoff games. Adding Hopkins might help alter that because the defense won't be able to concentrate solely on Diggs.

The only thing more futile than arguing back-and-forth about possible futures with indeterminate variables is arguing over hypotheticals regarding a past that cannot be altered. You absolutely cannot prove a counterfactual. It's just your opinion.

Folks can point to cases of rapid decline and players that remained effective late into their careers. It's a risk. You don't like his character and think he is breaking down. Others think he is still a strong player and are willing to take a risk. Nothing anyone says is going to alter the nature of the situation which inherently has uncertainty involved.

If he is like most athletes who express a desire to pursue a ring, but choose the highest bidder when it comes right down to it, we are out. If you make a lot of it a signing bonus, you can sign him to a low first year cap hit. Pegula has the cash to make that move. They could still restructure Tre White and a few others to create cap space. They could trade Ed Oliver. If they want to get him, they can do it.

I know. Another poster made that assertion. I was only remarking the quite contrary rational accounts that seemingly always end up with Hopkins a Chief.

Really rather grand that apparently Hopkins will both choose KC over Buffalo because 1) they are better than us and give him a greater possibility of winning a SB and 2) they are also not as good as us possessing fewer offensive playmakers so Hopkins would have greater opportunities to shine and gain incentive money.

And Happy Days posted some inside word that was encouraging. In general, Memorial Day weekend has been terrible for fan fiction unless you want to hear about Josh Allen's love life.

I like the 100% Hopkins signs with the Bills. Hopkins to the Chiefs is the worst possible result. Beane will and should catch flak if it happens.

Definitely deflating and disappointing if this rumor is true.
