Pretty sure @GunnerBill predicting this possibility months ago. He's probably in a pub somewhere.

Yes, as it happens, I am experiencing several rather unpleasant life crises, so I came to this site for a brief respite. Alas, the gods are fickle indeed.

This is the one I saw when I opened the page. Carry on.

Lots of folks are going to be shocked. I like him more than most, but he'll have to make splash plays more consistently to merit that contract. That hooboy thread just got a pretty big answer from OBD. I wonder if the extension opens up cap space now.

Hopkins released by Arizona (7/16: signed by Titans)
Dr. Who replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
He had one outstanding game against the Chiefs that truly was responsible for the inflated expectations. If you are not consistent, you're not reliably clutch in my view, but if you want to quibble on semantics I grant he has had good games. His entire body of work is subpar for a WR2, though there are quite a few on the board who think otherwise. -
Beane: “working on at least 2 veteran UFA’s”

Denver redux with Rodgers playing the role of Wilson only this time in New York would be absolutely epic. -

That may have been the majority opinion, but before the 2022 draft there were some including myself and others @BADOLBILZ who argued for drafting a WR early (in a draft with more high end talent at the position than 2023) because Davis was inconsistent. So it just isn't true that the narrative only started after this past year. -
D-line coach Eric Washington’s comments on Ed Oliver — hoo boy

If so, seems like that is something you could fix, but it's puzzling it hasn't happened by now. -
Better keep a light on at night. He might be lurking under your bed. Or in the closet. Definitely hanging out in the cellar.

I don't speak Twitter. What does it mean? It looks like Dhop is hitting on a Buffalo girl. -

He probably means he likes cold, hard cash. -
It will be both encouraging and funny if after all the bellyaching about the draft pick he turns out well.

Maybe to you. Fella said he couldn't think of a reason to prefer Buffalo, I gave one. If you don't think it's plausible, that's your perogative. -

If he wins the SB with Buffalo he gets a share in the credit. If he wins one with the Chiefs it is business as usual. -

Frazier's passive approach works well against poor and middling qbs. It manifestly failed most of the time in the playoffs, though he does know how to stop Lamar. -

Dahlin did develop into a Norris candidate level defenseman. Tage Thompson surprised everyone and became a legit 1C. They have a lot of great young forwards, Cozens, Quinn, Peterka just to name a few, with three top picks from last year and one from the year before (Savoie, Ostlund, Kulich, and Rosen that all appear to be progressing well) along with Owen Power, Mattias Samuelsson and Dahlin that form the young core of a top 4D. Devon Levi is very young, but looks promising as a potential NHL goalie. They need blueline depth and a vet goalie to pair with Levi, but the team is set to be good for a decade if they play it right. -
Let's hope Dorsey remembers about the superior pass catching rb during the game.

It's been a long twelve years, but the Sabres are about to be good. They are stacked with young talent. Kevyn Adams needs to make a few astute trades and FA signings to improve blueline depth and a veteran goalie to pair with Levi would be best, but I expect playoffs next year. I've got your interlocutor on ignore. He's only here to stir the pot. -

I'm not convinced that Davis can do well on the short and intermediate routes, so his best usage is rather exclusively the long ball. It's true that inadequacies on the oline affected him perhaps more than other receivers. He doesn't have to be WR2 to run the deep routes, however. -
