  1. I have a friend in town, he's heard your name We can go out driving on Slow Hand Row We could stay inside and play games, I don't know And you could have a change of heart Rikki don't lose that number You don't want to call nobody else Send it off in a letter to yourself Rikki don't lose that number It's the only one you own You might use it if you feel better When you get home
  2. Ah, now I don't hardly know her But I think I could love her Crimson and clover Ah, when she comes walking over Now I've been waitin' to show her Crimson and clover Over and over
  3. In my case, none of the above. A better question would be, "how could I NOT stay a fan until I die?" I was with them through 4 Superbowls, and some of the most idiotic personnel moves in NFL history. Also, imbecelic drafts which never seem to end, and sadly I'm just scratching the surface. But you know what else I had? The pleasure of meeting Bills Fans and being a part of something that more often than not seemed like a hopeless case. Tailgates in Lot 1 pole 6 at which I was made to feel completely welcome. I can't just turn my back on these people and/or these moments. What would I do? Become a Chiefs fan? Impossible. Yeah, I'm here til the end. I wouldn't have it any other way. GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Actually, he seemed like a very nice guy. When he was in NYC for the draft he went into a firehouse and was joking around with the firemen not so long after 911. They all seemed to really like him. The thing is, Williams was a RT in college (never played LT to my knowledge) and came into the league with an ankle injury. People said "no problem, his college QB was left handed." Yeah, OK. In college, he was at least twice as strong as any defender he faced but as we know, this matters less in the pros. McKinnie otoh was great. Yes he had an off field issue or two but he was a fantastic LT. I remember being up in Buffalo for a game and Univ. of Miami was playing Syracuse that Saturday. McKinnie DEMOLISHED Dwight Freeney the entire game to the extent that I thought that Freeney was way overrated (and he turned out to be an excellent NFL player). Donohoe seemed to hate McKinnie and took "Big Mike" instead. McKinnie could have been our LT for 15 years or so. So there it is. We walked away from McKinnie and traded Jason Peters. It's really hard to believe.
  5. I know how much I lean on you Only you can see The changes that I've been through Have left a mark on me You've been as constant as a Northern Star The brightest light that shines It's been you, woman Right down the line
  6. A wave on the ocean A whirlwind on the sand I took a notion That her ship could not land So light me a candle In the forest so deep Honey, lay down beside me Angels rock us to sleep Oh, Corey, I'll be coming soon Through the Louisiana pines To the Mississippi moon Through the Louisiana pines To the Mississippi moon
  7. I don't know but I vaguely remember the family of the deceased Ted Williams thinking this, or so it seems. In fact, a TSW poster once dedicated his screen name to this very phenom.
  8. Yes but really, he went from UDFA TE to RT to LT and was actually a GREAT LT. Although the timing of his holdout was unconvential, Peters really did deserve a raise. There were very few instances in which a very good to great LT has ever been traded. Willie Roaf comes to mind and although he was good, Peters was a clearly superior player (and supposedly there were personal issues involved). There was no excuse to trade Peters. He was the best player on the team at that time. We were not even fairly compensated. It was one of the dumbest trades I for one have ever seen. Mr. Wilson just refused to pay Peters what he was worth.
  9. There are still people (not naming names) who defend trading HOF bound Jason Peters.
  10. Go down, Miss Moses There's nothin' you can say It's just ol' Luke, and Luke's waitin' on the Judgement Day "Well, Luke, my friend What about young Anna Lee?" He said, "Do me a favor, son Won't ya stay and keep Anna Lee company?"
  11. Sounds good!
  12. My only question about the above would be: How steadfast is this rule? For instance, the Eagles drafted Landon Dickerson early in round 2 in 2021. I had no doubt that he would be a top center. They moved him to guard and he looks even better there, probably because he is huge and exceptionally strong. I am not saying that he was the most vital piece of their superbowl team, but he certainly made life easier for their entire offense, especially Hurts. Btw, 3 rbs were picked before him which was ridiculous imo. Was he a bad pick based on position alone? I definitely agree with your post. The game has changed so much that drafting a center or even a guard early on has become a rarity and with good reason. The game has changed just so much. What I am wondering is that if there was a guard today as good as Larry Allen, would he be worth an early second round pick? I ask because tbh, although I cannot see drafting too many of them early today, if a kid was coming up who I thought would be as good as Larry Allen, I would take him in round 1. Would I be wrong?
  13. You are right about that.
  14. I wanna say to my sisters and my brothers Keep the faith When the storm flies and the wind blows Go on at a steady pace When the battle is fought, and the victory's won We can all shout together, we have overcome We'll talk to the Father and the Son When we make it to the promised land
  15. I don't love you anymore It's just that simple No, no, no, not like before Such a shame, dirty shame We can't work it out No, not this time We can't be together We can only be friends
  16. I'm not sure how much say he would have but I doubt that Dabo wants to be in the SEC, and I can't say that I blame him. Their schedule is just so easy and they can waltz into the playoffs in virtually every season. This would probably not be the case in the SEC.
  17. You oughta know by now (you oughta know by now). You oughta know (you oughta know); You oughta know by now - (you oughta know by now) Words of love, soft and tender, Won't win a girls heart anymore.
  18. Not one second.
  19. Soft and low, the music moans I can't stop thinking about you Thinking 'bout you I didn't know it would be so strong Waiting and wondering about you I didn't know it would last so long Nights are forever without you
  20. Whatever makes you happy Whatever you want You're so *****in' special I wish I was special But I'm a creep I'm a weirdo What the hell am I doin' here? I don't belong here I don't belong here
  21. OK, I get this, but; do they deserve any credit for what he did NOT become? Considering the surroundings that they removed him from, I think that my question does deserve some merit.
  22. Do you think that they took him in for the purpose of making money? I for one doubt it.
  23. I think it is a great idea. Picking only the Bills game and over/under in a thread is far more convenient and less time consuming than picking the entire board. Is this what is going to happen?
  24. All I know is something like a bird Within her sang All I know she sang a little while And then flew on Tell me all that you know I'll show you, snow and rain If you hear that same sweet song again Will you know why? Anyone who sings a tune so sweet Is passin' by Laugh in the sunshine, sing Cry in the dark, fly through the night
  25. These are numbers that I did not know. Thanks for this. I quit smoking on October 15, 2015. I was on the patch for approx 2 months. One day I couldn't find my patch and I was sweating and agitated. I found it and decided that I would never use nicotine again in any form. It was one of the best decisions of my life. Cigarette smokers are more vilified than heroin users imo. Both are threats to society in some way, be it second hand smoke or the crimes frequently committed by heroin addicts. That said, there are far more commercials and attacks waged at cigarette smokers than at heroin users. To this day I feel very sorry for smokers. Smoking really is suicidal in a back door way. Surprisingly, MANY people don't even know why they smoke. It is an addiction to nicotine, plain and simple. To anyone wanting to quit, I highly recommend the book by English author Allen Carr. Sorry, I am not trying to derail your important topic.
