So Spencer Brown what say you?
Fan in Chicago replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall
We have to look for 1. Upgrade to Brown 2. Another C/G to eventually replace Morse On offense, the above 2 plus at least 2 WRs are adequate for the offense next season -
Agreed on more weapons on O. I also think the strategy should be to load up on weapons to just score a lot of points. The D then can play a different game. With JA at the helm this team more than any in the past should aim for all sorts of offensive records and points. Naah. Not on board with this plan no matter how can't miss he looks like. Better strategy to take two in the top 3. But I also think another vet WR is needed on this team. Harty , Davis and Sherfield can all go

Allen, the Super Bowl "window," and the KC hurdle
Fan in Chicago replied to T.E.'s topic in The Stadium Wall
The TOP was very high for us. The issue, v as has been discussed ad nauseum, is that we didn't end too many drives in TDs. Even with D talent, we have shown to be incapable of stopping them in the playoffs. That's why I think the solution is to load up on O and just score a lot. You can bet that Reid will draft WRs in the upcoming draft and attempt to stay ahead. We have to leap frog, not just keep trying to catch up -

Get excited... change is NOW with a youth wave!!!
Fan in Chicago replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Kudos for injecting the enthusiasm here. I admit I am still not feeling too great after losing yet again to the Chiefs in the playoffs. But good to read your post and I hope this offseason brings the changes needed for us to finally get over the hump Of that list, I would like to bring Floyd back especially if we make the tough (and correct) decision to let Miller go. -
Not to derail this discussion but yes we need to surround Josh with more talent than he has. One could think that we couldn't sign DHop because of cap constraints - one player who could have changed the ultimate outcome of the Bills season . Again, I don't want to hijack this thread. But paying Tua will affext their ability to get the level of talent they have now. But Dolphins need to pay him. He is a good guy and a good enough QB

Very sorry to hear this. These are tough times for you and your family.

Brady would have won Superbowls but you cannot deny that he won more Superbowls because of BB's coaching. I remember several close games which were won by your team due to tight game management

🙏 Best wishes for her recovery and strength to the rest of the family as you all deal with it

He has something to prove. That he can win a Superbowl with another team. Similar to Tom Brady. If BB coaches even 2-3 years and wins a SB, he will ride off into the sunset and not have "he could only win with Brady" on his legacy

That's why consultants in the world have a job. To tell the owner/company what they are unable to see because it's too close to their nose -
The WR#2 Market (Spotrac Breakdown and Comparison)
Fan in Chicago replied to WhitewalkerInPhilly's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes, it is troubling but again, the offseason will tell if he was somewhat injured to limit his production. If we really get a stud WR in the draft, the pressure and coverage on Diggs will go down and we will have a more diversified WR group. I still value Diggs for his drive, experience and as a mentor -
The WR#2 Market (Spotrac Breakdown and Comparison)
Fan in Chicago replied to WhitewalkerInPhilly's topic in The Stadium Wall
Here is my plan: Keep Diggs - I think he was battling injury. He is still a viable force and a mentor for a draftee Draft one in Rd 1 Shakir as #3 Round off with a second tier FA Look at progress of Shorter and Shavers Another lower (Rd 5+ pick) We cannot just depend on the draft. We need at least one FA, maybe 2 to round off the roster- 113 replies

We are looking for a coach to take the team over the hump. If a proven coach is not available, you stick with McD. Because choosing an upcoming HC can back fire and the team can get worse. By the time that happens, another 25% of Allen's career would be gone. -
That is fine if our D is good. I am pretty sure there was a deliberate strategy to keep the Chiefs O off the field (Like the Giants did with the Bills in the Superbowl). The intent also was to end those long drives in TDs as often as possible. This was a good plan given how undermanned we were on D. Mahomes marching down the field proved it. The issue was that we didn't have the reliable and multiple weapons to end in TDs. McBeane should have learned this lesson by now - you have to out gun the likes of the Chiefs and not build a multi layered D to stop them. With Reid and Mahomes, the Chiefs will find different ways to score TDs. We just have to be built to score more

Beane & McDermott end of season press conferences
Fan in Chicago replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's why it is critical and important to draft a WR with our top pick. I don't care if they overdraft by a couple of positions if a good one is available. The rookie will be the heir apparent to Diggs after 2025. But we will need at least one other vet to round off the mid to bottom of the WR roster. I dearly hope that Harty and Sherfield never again wear a Bills uniform. -
Beane & McDermott end of season press conferences
Fan in Chicago replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Imo, Beane's biggest offseason mistake was to not sign DHop. He just had to do the required capology to make the $$s work. If we had him, I truly believe this season would have gone much differently and we would be very much alive.
