Xavier Worthy injured during 1st practice as a Chief
Fan in Chicago replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am more interested in seeing how he stands up to the LOS bumping and aggressive tackling of NFL DBs. Does his body hold up? Will he keep holding on to the ball after hits? I didn't wish injury on anyone of course but the small frame will be an issue. I think he will still make a few highlight plays, hopefully not against us -
Question or topic of the day - a new idea for the board
Fan in Chicago replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Good idea to try. But I think one a day is too much. Call it QOW(eek) instead and choose a day. Tuesday, Wednesday are good because there is no football on those days during the season. In! -
Beane did go down that route last year with Harty, Sherfield with terrible results. As others have stated here, once the Tre money comes in, it will be possible to sign DK while giving up a pick or two next year. My guess is that with so many WRs coming into the league this year, he won't command a Rd1 pick. I am holding out hope that he chooses a vet WR like DK who can make a big difference and set a firm floor for the WR room while raising the ceiling. We all hope that Coleman is good in his rookie season but that's hope and not a strategy.

Random talking head says something about the Bills
Fan in Chicago replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
We spent almost a decade saying this about TBrady and the Patriots** yet they kept winning and spanking our rears on their way to the rings. At least now we have a great QB so instead of waiting for the Chiefs to magically wither away freakily get bounced from the playoffs too early, we should out gun them, fighting fire with bigger fire. We have to take them down in the playoffs, there is no other way. -
Thats not clear but imo, the pass catchers on the Bills right now are better than those for the Chiefs last year I totally disagree with you. We are still missing one WR piece. No amount of comparison of this years versus last years players will convince me otherwise. We may have stocked up on overall receivers who can catch the same number of passes, but we still dont have the required element of speed. Yet again, we will be relying on Allen buying time to wait until someone deep gets open. Good progress this off season but not enough. Also, @eball your thread is a repeat and you could have added to this one instead:

If this guy can produce on the field, he will become one of the top 3 favorite players around the league due to his demeanour and almost child-like innocence. Don't ever change, kid. -

and ends casually with "...really its just that.." Tell me again that he is a rookie and only 20 years old -
No, he pretty much said he doesn't like NOLA food 🙁

So how many endorsements is that ? Macy's, Subway, Andy's ice cream, Dairy Queen... But he doesn't like Gumbo - friggin bust pick by Beane! 😡 -
I said with good hands too 😃 Guy hasn't amounted to much in his career and we cannot rely on him to be the missing piece. It's a total folly to think our WR room is complete
-
Can Brady use the ones on our roster effectively? Imo, yes based on last few games he was the OC. Is that receiver room adequate? Absolutely not. We need at least one vet and/or speedy WR with good hands. Otherwise the overall offense is going to be limited and again dependent on Allen's superman efforts
-
This question has been more than adequately answered by @Beck Water @GunnerBilland @Thrivefourfive. I am sensing that you are looking for some sort of support that Kincaid is that player. He isn't and shouldn't be. We need a WR who is fast enough and gains separation down the field to challenge defenses. Kincaid will be a good one but not a substitute. Just because the Chiefs made it work (more out of necessity) doesn't mean we should strive to emulate them

That highlight reel says that this guy is going to feast on back shoulder throws. -
Yes, he did indeed say that but the draft is not over yet so perhaps he drafts a seemingly one-trick pony who can sprint. I dont see such a burner in the available FA pile. We still need a speed guy. Lets not talk ourselves out of that need. The deep part of the field is still not covered by anyone in the WR room yet.

I believe Beane said to Bishop "Dalton was in my ear about you a lot"

I admittedly am more stressed for tonight's draft than I was for yesterday's. Most of my stress comes from the fear that we will pick a DB at #33. I really want the first pick to be a WR.
