He and the Niners organization are just incredibly lucky to have stumbled onto Purdy. For all of Shanahan's offensive brilliance, the success wouldn't have happened without a system QB like Purdy following the script and playing safe with the ball.

We do not "desperately" need ground yards. Overall I have always held the belief that with an Allen helmed offense 60-40 should be the season average target with variations for specific opponents. -
I trust you in those numbers and agree that this would improve the Bills. Trade Davis and a low round pick for Jeudy if Payton will take it Allen knows Davis but if he had a better option, Allen wouldn't trust him with clutch plays. Those drops in the Jags game had me pulling my hair out.

With injuries affecting the defensive backfield, you should want more pass rush, not blunt the edge by trading a player who is playing very well right now. If we were "going no where" as a team, then I would say stocking for the future is a good idea. But we are, and it's not

Which is becoming more and more evident with his play on the Bears. The bears coaching staff currently has their team on the path to worst in the league, but I don't fault them for expecting more from a high priced FA. Their FO screwed this up big time - by paying a lot for a LB with lot of limitations

I agreed with Romo yesterday - no reason to rush him back with the way the D is playing right now. Further, I dont mind easing him in when absolutely ready. Save the tread on the tires for December-February

Let's also appreciate his throwaway and taking of a sack because on those plays, he accepted defeat instead of attempting a risky throw. I clapped on both of those because it's the maturation I have been waiting to see. If he continues playing with patience and smartness, he will be the MVP this season.
