  1. Do you truly not see the cause and effect in this situation ? I am a Whaley supporter but acknowledge that he made mistakes. This was one of them.
  2. For someone as driven as Brady is, no number of wins are going to be enough. Lets build a Bills team to beat him, not on the hope that he will retire soon.
  3. I dont care about any other logic. Anybody-but-Pats** I wish I could borrow the DC Tom bot for a single use.
  4. As you shouldnt. I too lamented him not being retained. For others trying to reconcile away his performance on the Pats**, the question is NOT whether he would have put similar numbers with the Bills. The question is if the Bills passing O would have benefited from his presence on the team. It would be real tough for anyone to argue that it would not.
  5. Good luck to Bortles. Poor guy
  6. Ummmm... Why would they say a veiled good-bye if they have another game or two to play ?
  7. No apologies needed. Rodgers, imho, is scheme independent which is why I admire him as a QB. He deserves another ring but not sure if the Pack have the horses to stop the Falcons
  8. Oh. Maybe too early in the morning for my reading comprehension to kick in
  9. Seriously? I would take street game Rodgers over pretty boy Brady any game.
  10. Maybe arguing semantics but Rodgers lifts the team around him season after season. If that's not good enough to be a 'franchise QB', then I dispute its meaning.
  11. In India right now. Woke up few minutes back and this is live on TV in HD. Life's good
  12. I hope he holds on for one more year and guides the new defense to maturity. Fully on board with your opinion about KW
  13. If I understand him, I don't think he is advocating cutting KW. He is talking about contracts. Major's contract strategy may be debatable but I don't think he was saying 'cut Kyle'

  15. Yep. Wonder what the penalty would be if a Brady had been rocked like that.
  16. Wow. Didnt realize the impact was that significant. Re-inforces that decision.
  17. Not entirely on board with this reasoning behind why Whaley may not want Lynn. But I see the logic. As of the names being considered, I would think Goodwin and Lynn would be the top 2 choices. Goodwin cos if his reported attention to detail (and the good Lord knows we need that) and Lynn cos of continuity and ability to mask deficiencies. In any case, I am not sure Lynn would be a full go on TT even if given the latitude to decide. He would certainly not have to be handicapped at the QB position to start his HC career. His hand may be forced by the lack of options though..
  18. If you werent so cocky most of the time, you would be one of the best posters here.
  19. That they are on the younger side is not surprising considering Whaley wants someone who will be the coach for '10-15 years'. Removes the Coughlins and (shudder) Cowhers from consideration. As for the first time part, there arent any re-treads around worth consideration for one reason or the other (e.g. McDaniels)
  20. Not surprising given the power structure which existed just a couple of weeks back. I would expect any HC candidate to ask Whaley and Pegula if the future structure is different and what communication lines will exist between the three. If I was such a candidate, I want full clarity on how the organization will work and who influences what. I would also want to know how the personnel side of things will work. The interview should be as much the candidate asking questions as Whaley/Pegulas.
  21. Some of the lack of aggressiveness could have been the scheme to cover up our serious shortcomings at the Safety position. If we get better safeties, Gilmore and Darby will be more free to isolate their top-2 receivers and shut them down. Also, the tackling could be symptomatic of the Ryan coaching style. More than just Gilmore forgot how to tackle. We do NOT want to create another hole. He is not Revis-in-his-prime but he is still pretty good. I hope we can keep him at a reasonable contract.
