  1. Signing 2 guys who both have 6 game suspensions is bizarre to say the least, but it’s a long season and it might be nice to have 2 rested vet linemen for the back half of the season.
  2. He’s not getting more than $18m per year or somebody would most likely trade something to GB for his contract. Since he played so little last year you could structure a contract heavy on incentives similar to Bosa.
  3. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/green-bay-packers/news/green-bay-packers-get-major-update-jaire-alexanders-future/4a261bb730664ef723490db3 If Alexander gets cut, I could see Beane striking quickly.
  4. No idea how 5 draft picks make this roster much less 10.
  5. True. I guess it’s asking too much for these podcasters to do 5 minutes of research to find out Coleman’s Head Coach and GM called him out for not being same player after the injury.
  6. I am actually surprised the Bills came to an agreement with 2 players the first day of the tampering period. Shows McBeane must’ve really wanted Palmer and Hoecht.
  7. Kind of bizarre that he goes on some podcast and gets slobbered over how mature he was dealing with his injury when McBeane have publicly stated the opposite. Coleman had every opportunity to correct the podcasters and say he had some growing up to do but instead took their praise in stride. Shows a lack of maturity on Coleman’s part and lack of any prep work by the podcasters.
  8. Will be nice to have a 270 pounder that can play in the back 7. Tired of watching our undersized linebackers and DB’s getting injured all the time trying to take on bigger players.
  9. don’t be cruel.
  10. Cook following his brothers playbook. Threatened a holdout after year 3 which resulted in a 5 year $63m deal. He got cut 3 years later and was washed up after his 6th year in League. I don’t blame Cook for wanting as much as he can get right now. A Running Backs shelf life is extremely short. If everyone is taking slightly less than market value though, might have to deal him if he’s insisting on $15m per year. I’m sure Dallas would give us a 2nd rounder
  11. Our secondary is extremely weak right now. Gonna have to add at least 1 starting caliber DB in free agency. I think we go D Line in the draft.
  12. I’m with you but not many fans understand the cap and even astute ones like some on this message board think the cap restricts you from signing people. Heck even on mcafee show the other day they put up a screen showing everyone’s cap space and tried to guess what free agents were going where based on who has the most cap space.
  13. Yes, but Beane always operates on a pay as you go method in terms of restructures. No need to create cap space until you need it. It also helps him manage free agency expectations from both the fans and agents. If your showing your up against the cap, fans can’t cry as loudly about not bringing in free agents and agents can’t try to bend you over as much in negotiations.
  14. Millers situation is the only thing that needs to be settled for Bills to be cap compliant by march 12th. I assume any other cuts would’ve already happened as Beane likes to do right by his players to not screw them over before teams start committing their money to players on Monday.
  15. That’s probably an upgrade for seattle if they sign darnold.
  16. not a huge epenesa fan, but good luck finding a 25 year old Defensive end as good as Epenesa for $5m.
  17. Von is enough to get us under the cap by next week. Then Beane historically likes to only free up cap space when he needs to in order to sign players so it looks like we can’t do anything until we do. Probably a smart negotiation strategy with agents.
  18. If Miller takes a $10m paycut, I’m cool bringing him back. Nobody we can sign for $7m per year will be as good as Miller and it doesn’t stop you from making other moves
  19. 13 sack guy is a lot harder to find than a 1000 yard receiver, especially when you have an MVP at QB.
  20. I’d love Garrett, but if it’s costing you a $40m per year contract and all your 1st and 2nd round picks this year and maybe even next year, you can get Bosa, Jonathan Allen, and Jaire Alexander on incentive based deals plus a safety like trevon moehrig in free agency all while keep your draft picks and land a DT, edge rusher, and CB with our 3 top 60 picks for the cost of Garrett.
  21. Agreed. He’s still only 29 years old and it’s now or never for him. He was elite at one time.
  22. He was really good in their run to the super bowl.
  23. I think this is fair. i think Shakir’s deal is a good comp for a guy like Rousseau and his value to the team. WR and D Line have similar economics now and both are good, not great players.
  24. I’m for as many bites of the apple as possible. This defense needs 2 impact players each in the secondary and D Line. We have enough McDermott specials who are backup level guys that play a lot because they know a complicated defense. Time to take some swings at greatness. Bosa and Alexander are former All Pro’s still in their 20’s. I’d take a shot on them if price is right. Then i’d use my draft picks to move up and get one of the elite 300lb+ DT’s and one of the physical freak elite safeties. McBeane will still have 4th, 5th and 6th rounders to fill out the bottom of the roster which is their drafting strength. Bosa, Oliver, 1st round rookie DT, Rousseau with Solomon, Epenesa, Preston Smith, Carter, and a vet DT could be an upper tier D line. Then a secondary with Benford, Alexander, Taron, Rapp, Starks, Bishop would be a huge upgrade.
