  1. As a Knicks fan I don’t think I agree with the comparison. However, I do believe the lesson for every franchise is that success starts at the top. Both teams stabilized the franchise with very competent front office hires that set the tone, had a plan, followed the process and made subsequent good hires down the line. The jury is still out for Leon Rose and the Knicks, and the Bills/Beane have yet to win the Super Bowl, but I feel very confident in their direction.
  2. It was a joke but I enjoy your enthusiasm.
  3. Strange argument considering the Chiefs are perfectly happy with their QB and SB title.
  4. Wait, what are you upset about? How is this NOT a story? As far as I know, the Bills have not publicly denied the reports.
  5. This might be my favorite Who song. This is another
  6. Cool. What about best pizza/wing combo near the airport? 😃
  7. Now do pizza.
  8. Yeah, it's seriously demented that fans regularly get upset by innocuous, trivial and often untrue things that may or may not affect a team’s ability to win. Yet, when faced with the genuine possibility that COVID outbreaks could lead to forfiets, long term illness, career ending ailments or even death, fans will cry that it's all about individual “choice” and unfair to anti-vaxers. So if he’s fired or placed in limbo like the NE coach, Isn't that justified?
  9. Oh, it's not a “policy” but if he's not vaccinated Dennison won't be able to do his job. Got it. That makes total sense.
  10. Let's not bicker and argue about who might spread a debilitating virus to the team that leads to one or more forfeits! On the eve of a new season this should be a happy occasion! Why I heard Felciano is a fun guy who enjoys a good party and spreading harmful misinformation about COVID! Sorry, sorry, back to trivial topics . . .
  11. No, I didn't say that, you did. I never brought up the prospect of unvaccinated staff, which irrelevant to the discussion about the Vikings' policy. Now you state Dennison "didn't have to be fired." Of course needed to be fired. The Vikings made a very rational decision that it would not put the team's prospects at risk by having unvaccinated coaching staff. They made clear if staff did not comply, they would be terminated. No different than any other conduct that could be detrimental to the team.
  12. Sure. But why would any team want that dynamic? It makes no sense.
  13. I bet you’ll care if the Bills are forced to forfiet one or more games.
  14. I see no reason to accommodate those who choose not to adapt to changing circumstances that could lead to forfiet games or, ya know, death of a team member.
  15. Nope. It's a choice. You know what it takes to contribute to winning. If you choose not to what it takes then your team should choose to dismiss you. The outcome seems to make you uncomfortable but it's not that complicated for the team.
  16. Players also have a personal choice to not play hard, keep in shape, not understand the playbook, all that would have an impact on the team. Likewise, they can make a personal choice not to get a vaccine that sharply reduces the chance the team will need to forfeit a game. Both choices have consequences and a team, employer or anyone has the choice to not have them on the team.
  17. It’s Rick’s decision, he’s not signaled out for any reason not within Rick’s control. It’s not incumbent on the ream to accommodate Rick to the detriment of the Vikings.
  18. He may have a strong case in court.
  19. First, Beasley is making a choice to make himself unreasonably vulnerable to a virus that could put him out of action for a week, a month or forever. His belief that he is better off without the vaccine makes him much more unreliable to play this season. Second, Beasley is clearly a distraction, which is bad for any team. He selfishly makes himself a center of controversy for no reason than to espouse his conspiracy theories. Third, what public figures say and do make a significant impact on public attitudes and decision making. Right now there are many people who will latch onto Beasley's comments to confirm preconceived notions over the vaccine. Chances are at least one fan won't take the vaccine because of Beasley, and that fan could suffer long-term effects or even die. What we say and conduct ourselves has an impact on others. Especially sports figures.
  20. I won't ride a bike in traffic. I don't trust drivers won't kill me.
  21. Season ending injuries are gut wrenching. Hopefully he comes back strong next year.
  22. Hmmm, that seems overly optimistic. Titans are a good team.
