Tre' White Got the Call from Deion
plenzmd1 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was worried KC might challenge that play if it was closer to a pick, and by challenge they would challenge it was not a drop, it was, in fact, an interception. My wife and kid love watching games with me -

Damn right he should have. No matter if someone was around him or not, fumbling there is an obvious blunder, as is scoring a TD. Falling on it, game over !!! Score a TD, KC can run the kick back, recover an onside kick, and have the ball back with a minute to go with a chance to win the game. McD loves to talk about situational football, that was the exact opposite of situational football. BTW, pretty sure people a mile away from my house heard me screaming "go down" during that entire return! -
I wish i knew what this meant

The DEFENSE has simply quit - my question is WHY?
plenzmd1 replied to Socal-805's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What part of this statement indicated I thought the Bills of the glory years were pure as the driven snow "If you believe Marv thought Kelly and crew went home to prayer meetings and cookies and milk you are not giving a hall of fame coach much credit. " And going to the Super Bowl 4 years in a row is the very definition of football character, as well as all the comebacks over the years. Those dudes were mentally tough, and performed no matter if they just got paid or were in a contract year. And they bought 100% into Marv and his message And you do understand that that whole crew you named in the bolded above were all free agents. And yes, it was his job to make those calls before bonuses and contracts are given out, and before any work is done with them in the offseason. As I said in my post, I liked Marcell. But they decided to move on from him, and I don't think it mattered one iota what he did off the field( except maybe the fear of a 10 gamer in the future). It mattered he showed up late for a game in Baltimore and laughed it off. Might be the right decision, might be wrong, but it was made for football reasons and football reasons only, and absolutely getting out from that $10M guaranteed in 18 played a large role. -
I have no clue what this means, but it made me laugh! I am with ya jinx, kept trying to work up hope through the week, just can't muster any this morning. Having said that, i put a smidge on the moneyline just in case.

I don't think they only want choir boys off the field, they are looking for character. And much how it was misunderstood back in the early 90's, it is being misunderstood now. They are looking for guys who have "football" character. Guys who are in early and stay late, buy into the team concept, the 1/11th stuff. Guys that fight to the end no matter the situation or contract status. They did not feel Marcell had "football character" Marv was the exact same way. If you believe Marv thought Kelly and crew went home to prayer meetings and cookies and milk you are not giving a hall of fame coach much credit. But he consistently talked about their character, and he meant on the field, as does McBeane in my mind. Having said that, I liked Marcell, and everyone in first 5 rows of 335 kept telling me all Tampa game to shut up about how well he was playing! I get why they traded him, but do think it is hurting the D, but cantbe the only reason for this epic slide. -

and you have seen how many Bills practices post-training camp? Oh, That's right its zero, as it is for everyone on this board and every member of the media, but somehow you can claim McD made a mistake based on practice.Thats rich brother!

I am going to PM you tomorrow, sleepy tonight, and will gladly pay you in fiat valuations for a lesson in crypto valuation, and yes I am serious.

I pride myself on keeping up with trends, especially tech trends, but I readily admit i don't understand bitcoin this is why I am going to start doing whatever I can to understand! Just as a word of caution, valuation does not equal worth.as mention, i have no clue on this stuff, but tulip bulbs once fetched $1200 a piece, not that the intrinsic value was ever there

Bills open as 9.5 point underdogs to Chiefs for next week
plenzmd1 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I stated my post wrong, sorry for the way it was worded. All I meant to say was shocking Bills are such huge underdogs and still getting a ton of play, more than 50% actually. It weird to see such a huge dog get so much action, as the Bills got also in Cinci and last week in LA. As a Bills fan I much prefer when most od the money on the other team, usually a good sign! -
please don't make me dislike you guys by saying how much smarter and nicer you are than Americans, hear enough of that crap at work. I am pretty convinced "ugly Americans" is truer in Canada than Europe, and it comes through loud and clear.

@the dean , Pizzeria Vetri today in the District. Been to a few of his restaurants in Philly, first time at this place. Very good fennel sausage pie, great crispy crust, not enough sausage. Overall very good wood fired pizza , recommend for anyone in NW DC.

agreed, and great post!

Lets see, Taylor 3 points vs Carolina and the Saints, 16 points vs Cinci with a 23 yd touchdown drive and a 2-yard field goal drive. Awesome 3 game output there! Damn, I am sure the fans in New England and Seatle want their started booted cause of where they were picked. You are Scott are truly special.

Bills open as 9.5 point underdogs to Chiefs for next week
plenzmd1 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think I am betting the game, but I will book your chiefs action for anything under $100. Umm, that be a big no. 56% of money wagered is on the Bills right now. -
This is where we will disagree. I don't think Taylor is accurate at all, and I think this is where people are able to look purely at stats instead of watching what happens on the field. I believe the Bills have been dead last in YAC(or at least bottom 5) both years Taylor was the starter, and they are #30 this year. Taylors refusal to throw to anyone unless they are wide open leads to relatively higher completion percentage, and always low YAC. Even if he does throw to someone over the middle and on the run, it is often in a place that prevents the receiver from gaining YAC..so while technically "accurate" and helps completion percentage, it is a very inaccurate pass. And yes, I know cherry picking, but look back to the Saints game and the 3 3td and longs that he checked down on, It gets recored as a 100% on the completion percentage, great for him, but gives the Bills zero shot at making the first down. So Taylor can have historically bad games like against the Saints as a 7-year vet making starter money and his 35th start at HOME , and its ""give him another shot,, just a bad game" , but a rookie comes in in his first start, on the ROAD against a very good team as well and it's "I have seen a half of this kid, he is a bust, never put him on the field again" I truly cannot understand that logic. And I am pretty damn sure Rams fans are glad they did not listen to all the bust claims on Goff when he was historically bad through 7 games last year. And yes to me one first down is almost 3 full quarters of play in an NFL game is historically bad, punts are pretty damn close to turnovers in my mind, as the score in both games was pretty damn similar.

The best thing about the Bills being 5-2 was that you and your one repetitive thought/post was nowhere to be seen.
