Teams that you’ve seen live the most
plenzmd1 replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in Off the Wall Archives
See, you can feel that through the TV, that's an awesome account. Think that's why so many Bills players say its a college atmosphere in the Ralph, its still people who care and not just rich folks being wined and dined. And don't even think of taking that LSU offer down, its booked! -
This is a good article from the Economist just came across with my new fancy Google Alert! https://www.economist.com/news/finance-and-economics/21731827-getting-out-such-illiquid-asset-can-be-harder-getting-bitcoins And beginners, I am with you. Many here to young to remember the frenzy in Dot Coms in the late 90's. Back then many bought the "this can only go higher, its the future " and bought valuations that were all out of whack. The "old school " analysts kept saying the valuations are out of whack, and they were mocked for just being old. Turns out they were correct. While the technology and future of how our lives would change based on "the internet " was spot on, the bubble was absolutely there and many people got crushed. I made money during that time, but sure as hell left a lot on the table when things came a crumbling down. That is why the majority of what I am going to invest right now went into the ETF, as the broader goal is investing in disruptive technologies that fundamentally will change our lives, not just crypto. ETH I want a small position, cause looks to me like that is the play on the blockchain, and to me that's the engine to drive this revolution into crypto.
-
I did it, I jumped in with a plan, half of it executed. Bought at ETF with a good size position in Bitcoin, but also other investments focused on technology breakthroughs. I want to buy ETH but still can not get my Coinbase account set up. I will investigate other purchase methods today. Hesitant to buy Bitcoin just yet as I think there may be a pullback short term and will look to buy on a dip. If it breaks $10..5K and holds above, I will buy some then if no pullback occurs.

One thing I have not done near enough is big-time college football. Had Maryland season rickets for a long time, but that is not big time. I was also at the very first CFP game, Oregon V Florida State, but I don't really count that either. I have never been to an SEC game, never been to a game at The Big House, or seen Touchdown Jesus, no games at Ohio Stadium or Happy Valley. Closest I come I guess is a game or two a year in Blacksburg, which is great, but not the 100-year tradition like some of those other places. -
Kelly and Augie, get a room please, your getting this thread messy

We need a thread that limits who can post in it to those who have attended 100+ Bills games, that way we can keep the riff-raff like Boyst the hell out! -
Can we combine these two threads? Seems silly to have two

Now that's one thing we have not bought, but I am guilty of TVs, firepits, turkey fryers, and tables for beer pong! PMT boys coming??? -
72 Hours of Buffalo Sports Hell Coming Up
plenzmd1 replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't know what veterans they signed, certainly, a guy like Kadri who they kept is helping tremendously. And Marleau was not there last year, which was the very next year after the Leafs went completely to the bottom, won the lottery, and were in the playoffs.Let's not forget the Leafs decided to tank about December of 14, sabres just had too big of lead to catch in the race to the bottom. and while I don't watch the Leafs near as much as the Sabres, that team is clearly being led by the youngsters. Tanking works, but not if you have a chucklhead wasting assets all over the place. -

Ceptin Pittsburgh, Washington, Blackhawks, Maple Leafs.all did it pretty damn quick. Arizona, Edmonton, and Carolina not so fast. Think it matters much more whos making the decisions, not the tank itself. -
Sabres & NHL 2017-18 - Entry Draft on June 22
plenzmd1 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Hmm, will let the true experts like Shrader and Darin weigh in here, but damn I like Vatanen.Henrique I like as well, cany say I know much about Blandisi. I am guessing we just have zero assets the Ducks wanted outside of Jack. Wonder if Kane was talked about, but they wanted a Centers, and centers only. Not sure about Henrique contract status, but pretty sure Sammi has at least two more years. Will take a gander now. -

I am guessing a ton of folks will, and if the ticket brokers abandon them, watch out! You could see some 8K-10K people games early next year. Just looked at tickets for the Ottawa game 12/12..yikes $6! Dead center, 20 rows up $56! Yowzer -

Oh, I agree, and even if i didn't, I cant see Pegs moving on from either Coach/GM combo for at least 3 years. But hard to fathom same amount of points with Jack/Kane/ROR/Sam/Okposo on the roster now -
TBD Tailgate at HAMMER’S Lot (sign up NE game)
plenzmd1 replied to mead107's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Will give my takes on this, as I used to park in ECC pretty regularly. 1) your first question about how easy to leave after game...not nearly as easy as leaving the main ECC lot to Southwestern, down Brompton, and over to McKinley if you leave within an hour of the game ending. No way around that. 2) Having said that, the post-game tailgate with TBD folks is well worth the extra time, often times my favorite part of the day. If the game ends at 4, and you leave at 5:15:, no huge difference in traffic. We hardly ever leave before 6:30. 3) I think it is much tamer than ECC, and way, way cleaner. That appeals to me no end. I hate tailgating with trash all over the lot, and keeping your area clean is enforced at Hammers Hammer does not allow funnels, table slamming or any of the other silliness you see on youtube. Having said that, my crew is mostly 20 somethings that love beer pong and beer ball and other drinking games and they are welcome and have a great time! 4) Hammers has 5 or 6 porta potties, and most women are very thankful 2 are always designated women only. Some men may view as a negative as generally a line as opposed to the trees at ECC, but never been an issue for me. Time it with the ketchup ceremony, no lines! 4) One negative for some as compared to ECC is the space between cars, Hammers is very tight, but I actually like that. Not a ton of room to play catch or touch football etc. 5 $30 to park -
Sabres & NHL 2017-18 - Entry Draft on June 22

well, looks at this paragraph from Bill Hoppe. They are actually at a point pace lower than the tank years. It is almost hard to believe. Time to bring back Nolan and no system and just try harder? Least those guys did not have to think too much. At 6-15-4, the Sabres have 16 points, the Eastern Conference’s lowest total. Right now, they’re on pace for 52 points. When they finished last overall in 2013-14 and 2014-15, they earn 51 points and 54 points, respectively. Yes, the 2017-18 Sabres could be worse than those awful teams. -

Sabres for sure, but that is just due to 82 games vs 16 for the Bills. As a percentage of games played by a team, by far the Bills. The team outside the Sabres/Bills seen the most is without a doubt the Caps. Had seasons for 3 years in early 90's. Followed by the Orioles and the Bullets. Richmond BB get to about 10 games s a year for last 10 years, including the loss last night -
Couple of things here Pilot/Flying J trial got interesting this week, Haslem on tape he knew of scheme. Could be new ownership soon? Wonder if Browns fans are hoping for that I am so smart, I thought the Browns had a shot at that division this year, and have a $100 ticket to prove it! Said in article Cinci fans take over the Browns stadium. Hard to believe that after what I saw in Cinci earlier this year, Bills fans outnumbered Cinci fans in that joint.

I like the way you put that , I am going to use that again some day. But having worked For companies based in The Valley for so long, every freaking product and every freaking new tech is presented that way, so maybe I am immune to it LOL. And I absolutely am just really digging into this stuff, still have a lot to learn. And just cause the price is rising , doesn’t mean the valuation is correct. Just means there is a frenzy right now. Trick is this.. still the beginning of the frenzy, or the end? Good think is, people are now talking more nd more about Cyrpto. just in our little thread, you and Row 33 have had me looking at aspects of this and potential issues I have not seen elsewhere. That good, helps me make a more informed decision. May still get my skull crushed in, but at least it will be an informed skull crushing!

“The baddest beat they ever saw” - Pats vs Bills 1998
plenzmd1 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
WOW!!! Y'all know I bet, but for some reason, i just did not remember this was a 3 and a hook game, obviously, i did not bet on it! That might be the worst bad beat in the history of mankind! Thanks for sharing -
The real question is to find out self-service HCM AA is using, and short the poop out of that stock. Looks they use Employee Central from SAP..to big for the stock to take a hit from this. Hah, EC, so near and dear to my heart!

I would not go that far yet. I am sure there are legit concerns about security, stability, etc and people talking about it and raising concerns is actually comforting to me. I am a sales guy, and you are nowhere near a sale when no questions are being asked especially hard ones, and no skepticism is being raised. Might as well close it as lost in SFDC when everything looks peachy keen, cause no one is taking your stuff seriously.
