Yep, tanking sure has the Leafs in trouble. It wasn't the tank, it is what was done with all the assets the tank brought. And he has to wait for for the prospects. GMTM had two issues 1) Trading away too many prospects and assets in an effort to be instantly good and dealing for and signing vets 2) said vet signings and trades were made to make the Sabres "heavy" and tough to play to play against, in a league that now favors skill and speed. I cant comment on the first two combo's, just a bit before my time, but I will take BB/TB over BW/JM really based a ton on the salary cap and free agency. I just think they are doing it in a much tougher era for prolonged success, and over a longer period of time.

Lets face it, the combination of BB and TB is the best there ever was in the NFL. No way around it. Now, I think Brady alone would have still been the GOAT, but not so sure if BB would be the GOAT without Brady, especially in this QB driven Era. Even without Brady, BB probably top 5 all time. DVR alert for the old folks out there like me. The Carol Burnett Show and 60 Minutes 50th Anniversary shows are airing on Sunday. Started watching 60 minutes with my parents in the mid 70's, still DVR every episode even though I don't get to them all. Carol Burnett was the start of what NBC would later call Must See TV. Before VCR's, it was "appointment TV" on Saturday night to watch CBS and the killer lineup of comedies. Spent many a Saturday night as a family huddled around the console TV watching Carol Burnett, Mash, All IN the Family and MTM show. Was often time s a treat for us, as my parents never bought into pizza as a"meal", was always considered a snack. So Saturday nights in the winter, we would often get a pizza to watch the aforementioned TV show.s. Cant even tell you how excited we were when Pepsi came out with a 2 liter bottle about the same time..holy moly that was cheap enough even my old man would buy soda for the house! Never had soda in the house before the 2 liter bottle!
