I'm friends with the guy that made the Captain Morgan's punchbowl for their TVC: Matty B was an intern w us for a while and one day was like "Yeah, a product I made is going into every Urban Outfitters, I gotta go...". In the past couple years his Unnecessary Inventions YouTube has blown up and even gotten him some corporate gigs (Super Bowl gigs even). I know my friends at Pepsi are cooking up some stuff too!

He might not have coaching experience, but obvi was around the NFL since he was a kid and did get a job in the league after college (see Doc's post). Not direct coaching experience, but he's been "in / around the industry" since he was a kid, guessing he gained some knowledge during that time... He may have gotten the initial opportunity to be around the team because of his mom, but seems unlikely he got a coaching job years later, for no reason.

I do think the poster was talking more about he team than the man, but I'm with ya, You gotta root for Daboll at least a bit, he's a Buffalo guy, so I wish him success. May we meet in the Super Bowl next year (at which time, it will be just fine to spank him).

fwiw So, no real poaching. Someone on twitter also pointed out assistant coaches are always closer to the coordinators (they work together ALL the time), so no big surprise. good, bad, IDK, we'll see...

So, he's good, but not great and our new guy will probably be worse, even though there are a good amount of better coaches out there? Huh?

Finally someone asking the question that should be asked. Have people on TBD ever hired before? It's great to have a target you might hire, but never hurts to interview a group of candidates with diverse skill sets and backgrounds...

Cinci got home in the second half - they were close in the first, but Mahomes is slippery. After that missed TD and into the second half Mahomes was just - rush was on him, head was not in the game. As has been said we need a disruptive pass rusher, don't have that stud right now.

Their D line certainly started getting home in the second half! In the first, they had a few moments like ours, I was thinking "Not this slippery Mahomes stuff again...". Is that scheme or effort? Regardless it worked.

Lot's of year 1 Josh - run and then spin. Anytime your back's to the D that much just gives more time for bad things to happen. See, I feel the opposite - I feel better already. it'll ALWAYS sting that we didn't get a SB run this year, but damn, feels good to see KC choke it away at home after what we went through! They were saying the same thing in KC. Gimmie a break... Do I think we would have won? Of course. Does that make it so? Not so much.
