    That would make sense, although it's probably not a legal case but a motion with the NFLPA to claw back the signing bonus so it doesn't kick in the cap. Best outcome is to clawback the bonus and hire him for Pegula Entertainment

    Nobody is picking up Beane's comment that he told Terry & Kim that cleaning the roster will take two years, meaning that 2019 will be the year where the roster will be finally shaped to their needs. That also means they will have their QB of the future fully installed and ready to go. And that means the QB is coming in the 2018 draft.

    Next 9 months will show whether the top QBs in this draft are franchise worthy. If they don't pick one, coupled with passing on Mahomes & Watson, then the McBeane tenure won't be long at OBD (just like everyone else in the last 2 decades) Of course, I doubt that happens because everything that Beane has done since coming here points to upgrading the QB position

    That's the strategy that's landed them in QB purgatory and left them with picking EJ Manuel in a horrible QB year. If they truly believe that the top 4 guys are franchise QBs, then they absolutely need to do whatever it takes to move up.

    And if there's no trade for a vet, then it's a reckless strategy regardless of what they do in the draft. You don't go into the season with Peterman, draft pick and a Matt Moore.
