  1. Guessing they priced him at market value and he agreed. Why leave a good thing for you when you won't get a raise?
  2. Makes you wonder about Giants draft strategy then. If they're not taking QB at #2, they absolutely have to trade out to maximize the haul in the positions they need
  3. This thread makes a lot of sense now
  4. And if this draft had the same caliber of QBs that the 1983 draft had, there's no way that Kelly gets out of top 10, or even top 6. Look at what the Seahawks were doing before they landed Wilson. The point isn't that Wilson fell in their lap. The point is they kept on adding QBs with potential to the roster until one hit. Look at Jets' investment in the QB position in the last 3 years. Do you think anybody is going to care about the wasted picks if they hit on the franchise QB. Please tell me sad you'd be if the Bills pass up the chance to draft the next Shaq Lawson, Reggie Ragland & Co at the expense of finding the next Jim Kelly?
  5. All you need to do is hit on one of those chances. I disagree with BADOL on a lot of things. But on the QB issue, he's spot on. Also ignored in this discussion is that Bills tried to trade up for Trubisky AND passed up two very good prospects last year. If they don't come away with at least equal value to what they missed last year, it will be criminally reckless.
  6. There's only one way to guarantee to never get a hit, and that's never taking a swing. Keep battling against the odds and enjoy another 17 years of futility, Buddy. One of these days you'll show off the baby.
  7. Buddy Nix approves of your message. Eventually you'll strike gold with Levi Brown. If you're willing to sit through decades of futility. It absolutely blows my mind that Bills fans had a front row seat to 4 general managers over 15 years completely blowing off the QB position with predictable results, and the remedy for the situation is more of the same
  8. How did Rams & Eagles fare in their recent moves to secure QBs at the top of the draft?
  9. I was referring to the LRB review that you mentioned ... But since you brought it up, your post shows the constant contradiction of your positions here. You can't complain about politicians not working on a solution without recognizing that the solution can't come from politicians. Maybe that's why you liked the LRB review of Coates' book. And never mind the delicious irony of a guy named Pankaj Mishra, living in the UK and slamming America's imperialism.
  10. That was awfully painful to read.
  11. To play the devil's advocate, Jets may have overpaid to move up. How many teams can match what's proposed by the trade rumors? And if the Bills are convince that the #2 QB is a franchise player, they have much more draft ammo than anyone.
  12. Westwood is crying right now.
  13. Even the school doesn't scare you?
  14. And that's why they charge a subscription for Insider
  15. Im talking about rational compensation. Any team can pull a Ditka and offer every draft pick. Bills are the only team with 2 1st round selections in '18, and are in the best position to deal.
  16. My only guess is that Beane knows that Gettleman is also willing to trade down, and by trading with Colts you still run the chance of a team jumping into the Giants' spot. Bills have the best ammo to move into #2 if Giants want to move the pick
  17. Bills' offer is more compelling IMO, even if it's 5 picks vs 6
  18. The process clearly prioritized the defensive rebuild over the offense, especially without the QB in place.
  19. Looks reasonable to me. Get 'er done
  20. No ****. As I'm reading the accounts of Cambridge Analytics, I kept asking what did they do differently than Obama campaign in 2012? Remember the quaint stories how Obama's campaign team was the first to corral the true power of social networks to spread the word? Amazing how a neophyte politician got so savvy, so fast?
  21. Top 10 reasons to delay drafting a QB in the 1st round Levi Brown Levi Brown Levi Brown Levi Brown Levi Brown Levi Brown Levi Brown Levi Brown Levi Brown Levi Brown
  22. It's not new. He repackaged his unique stupidity in a new thread.
  23. There's less moderation here
  24. My theory is that Dom Capers hated TD so much that there's no way he'd approve a trade that would help Buffalo
  25. That is not a correct representation. Donahoe tried like hell to trade with Jags and Texans, and both refused because they were dead set to pick future NFL failures.
