You're missing the impact that slowing growth and export reduction is having on China's internal finances. China has financed its growth through runaway borrowing, which assumes uninterrupted high growth rates. As it is, China's debt bomb is on a short fuse, and with further slowdowns, the government will be faced with a choice of letting major banks/companies fail or prop the zombies up with hard reserves.
