  1. I'm sure Greggy will appreciate this. WSJ is publicly calling out Burr for his earlier stance on Nunes memo.
  2. If anything, this proves the point that Tyrod's history made teams wary of drafting Jackson earlier, despite better pedigree and on-field performance. Ravens are happy with the pick now because he's proven it on the field, and there's no skittishness from their coaching staff to keep him in the line up. Unlike Tyrod, for whom coaches couldn't wait to find a competent replacement. PS, its wishful thinking that Bills would have won the Ravens game with Tyrod, because despite having more talent on offense, Tyrod managed only 6 points, while the much-maligned defense held Baltimore to 10 points in the opener. This was after an entire offseason of Roman scheming the offense around Tyrod's "strengths" PSS - Tyrod's deep ball went into the crapper at the exact moment Percy exited OBD.
  3. The 2016 schedule against a weak NFC West didn’t hurt his offensive production. Funny though how several coaches whose livelihoods depend on quality QB play all decided that the most dynamic playmaking QB wasn’t good enough to be a starter.
  4. Tyrod’s limitations were plainly evident at the time, as are Allen’s limitations are plainly evident at this time. No need for hindsight analysis. You’re revising history by saying that Tyrod’s game got better. Must be nice to ignore the start of the ‘16 season, where both opponents clearly said that their game plan was to have Tyrod play like a quarterback, and he failed. The blueprint was there for any team willing to make him a QB. Tyrod’s farewell was sealed with a pathetic 3 point outing in the biggest game in 20 years. That’s why he barely lasted 4 games in Cleveland. If your point is that Allen gets the benefit of the doubt, while Tyrod didn’t, it’s because we’re talking about a guy who was in his 8th year, not a project in his second. Let’s see the support that Allen gets if he still can’t beat a blitzing defense by mid next year.
  5. Hyperbole is your continued twisting of the narrative when it comes to Tyrod, such as his benching by 2 coaches in Buffalo and a very quick yank in Cleveland. His limitations as a QB were plainly evident, and that's why there was always a short hook. Just that you have to dig up the sole Miami game as evidence of the defense blowing his comeback bid, but ignoring other 1 score games where he came up woefully short is emblematic of his stature as a front running QB. Once the defenses got tape on him, he was easy to defend. The only reason Allen gets a pass is that he was known to be a project and has been improving, while Tyrod never got better after his first year in Buffalo, and was regressing. So yeah, Allen benefits from having a great defense to back him (which I recall you never thought that McDermott could field), Tyrod had a worse time facing top defenses as well.
  6. No one blitzes like Ravens, but Steelers are 6th highest blitzing team. They're in the same ballpark as Jets & Browns, and Allen didn't particularly play well against those defenses. FWIW, Steelers defensive game plan dialed up a lot of blitzes against Kyler, and don't be surprised that they do the same against another QB who struggles with pressure. OTOH, despite being ranked high, I'm not that impressed with Steelers D as they've feasted on a lot of bad QB play. If the good Josh makes an appearance, Steelers are toast.
  7. Steelers are not a blitz heavy team?
  8. Are you saying this because you’ve examined the replay, and reached the conclusion that Beasley was open 2 seconds after the snap? Beasley was open well before Brown made his break. Again, Allen thought he had time to go with only one read, and chose Brown. He could also have chosen to go with Beasley as his first read. With perfect hindsight, choosing Beasley would have been a better option. Also, with more maturing, Allen would have recognized that he also had time to go to his second option.
  9. I suggest Bogo invest in a recording device so that he can personally see why he was benched. He's been horrible since his return. I don't know what rules govern his rehab, but he clearly needs a lot more games in the minors to get his legs back. If he feels that he's finally 100%, that 100% is not NHL worthy, because he cannot move. The benching was 100% warranted if he wants to use that number.
  10. You're ignoring momentum. Beasley is 3 yards away from Humphrey, who's also moving away from Beasley. There's no way that he makes up the ground before the first down. The only possibility would be the safety, but he was being taken out of the play by McKenzie. At the very least it's a first down. In retrospect, a throw to Beasley would have been the better option, but that may be asking too much of Allen at this point. He's still learning to process faster and he was getting hammered all day. Again, all Brown had to do was sell the pattern better.
  11. My other guess is that they saw the Labor results across the pond, and are finally realizing what's in store come November.
  12. Polls pointing to a Tory win.
  13. You made the assertion that Allen had to wait for Beasley to make his usual 3 step move, which wasn't the case. The play dictated 1st read. If Beas was that first read, the play would have worked, because at the same time Allen releases to Brown, Beasley is open.
  14. The simplest tell of the government sprawl is the transformation of DC's real estate. Take a look at all new construction inside the Beltway, which is all directly or indirectly funded with federal dollars. There should be stricter limits on empire building within the government bureaucracy. Mandating term/time limits for federal employees is probably illegal, but you can certainly implement job rotation or continue moving some departments outside the Beltway.
  15. It can only be fixed with a constant turnover of the perpetual bureaucracy.
  16. PS, notice the widespread silence of the targeted assault on the kosher supermarket in Jersey City yesterday? Wonder why.
  17. Is that why Cuomo is now in jail for terminating the Moreland Commission?
  18. I'm sure that was part of Allen's presnap decisions. But if you look at the totality of options on that play, all Brown has to do is run a better route, and it's a virtual tie game.
  19. Show me a poster who's argued that human behavior shouldn't change regarding climate or energy.
  20. Hyperbole much? Beasley made one great move and had clear separation. But that wasn't the point of his piece. Joe B wasn't faulting Allen. He's rightly calling out Brown's feeble triple step in his pattern as the primary culprit. If Brown ran a better pattern, it's a TD. Joe's commentary on Allen was that with more seasoning, Allen would recognize that the rush wasn't severe, Brown is covered well and he should progress to his next read.
  21. Yup, the evil Trump created this.
  22. Please tell me how the lizard people conspiracy is related to the Horowitz hearing today?
  23. I didn't spend the last three years making fun of people who were feeding tidbits of this story, and when the report basically proved the innuendo correct, I do not cower by throwing in unrelated tangents to derail a thread that's devoted to a very serious expose. A simple, oops, Greggy may have been right on this topic contrition would go far.
