  1. Looks like CBS activated their practice squad announcers
  2. That, and a complete reversal of Obama’s policies.
  3. This is a very appropriate eulogy by Mike Lupica who didn’t shy away from their decades long friendship. The Rutgers episode appropriately was the flashpoint of his career, but also unfairly tainted a near 50-yr revolutionary career. You can argue that day ushered in the cancel culture and showed the cowardice and hypocrisy of many in the media world who immediately abandoned Imus, even though he made their careers. He wasn’t a dime a dozen morning radio zoo shock jock, which is how most articles describe his career. He’s also largely responsible for the rise of sports talk by saving WFAN, and for being a huge part of building the MSNBC audience. He had an oversized impact on elections because he wasn’t any party loyalist and gave equal time to both sides prior to 2007. If more recent history has him being some right wing nut job, it’s only because the left abandoned him in droves. Yet even after the episode, he didn’t turn into a partisan hack. You hear about the awkward Correspondents Dinner appearance and the alienation from the Clintons after that, but you rarely recognize that Clinton would likely not be President without Imus’s enthusiastic support. The same way that he was in Obama’s corner early in the ‘08 primary race.
  4. Only proves that you are a moron who clearly has no clue about anti-Semitic history. I imagine that your brain would also be fried when you realize that this spate of attacks is directly correlated to Bernie & Bernie bros.
  5. You probably know that his brother scattered part of his ashes into the Hudson in Saugerties, so they can wind back down to the City.
  6. You’re both wrong. The original was the classic Peter Sellers’ The Mouse that Roared in the ‘60s.
  7. That has always been the theory, but practice has proven that it will be virtually impossible for a basket to replace a single currency. The main reason that GBP and USD have become defacto reserve currencies is that they are as close that a paper currency can be to a physical asset that has historically been the reserve. This is not incidental, because the unwavering support for private property, laws and freedom of exchange underpins the real value of the currencies relative to the worthless paper medium it’s printed on. You will never replicate this set of protections with a basket, unless the basket is comprised of countries who are equally committed to the above economic trinity. I don’t see that on the horizon at all. But if the US continues to spiral out of its historic orbit of economic, legal and personal freedoms, then the replacement will go back to a physical reserve, not to another paper currency. And the world will suck.
  8. As a not so wise man once asked - is it a coincidence that the GBP and USD were/are the only reserve monetary currencies the world has ever seen?
  9. Another radio legend drops the mic https://www.wabcradio.com/2019/12/27/legendary-new-york-radio-great-don-imus-passes/
  10. Except that it's not a direct Mahomes for Allen and White swap.
  11. 2020 is also the year where Kueckly’s contract flips the dead cap. Will the new staff want to pay him $11 million and take a $15 million cap hit if they’re changing the scheme?
  12. Bills only had 3 series after they took the lead, and only on one of those you can argue that Daboll went conservative. Two of those series were 3 and outs, but that wasn’t due to a conservative game plan. It was OL protection failing or Allen misfiring. Joe B’s analysis was spot on. Allen was inconsistent in this game, with 3 great throws, but too many misses of the easy ones to pull out a win.
  13. Merry Christmas to all you degenerates & renegades.
  14. Doesn't refute the point that you prefer a smooth talking charlatan who continually trampled law and precedent.
  15. I'm guessing you're the kind who prefers a silver tongued devil, because he sounds genteel?
  16. This story has very little to do with the national economy and the exploding debt.
  17. The ultimate irony is that the fact checks are getting a lot more attention than the original meme itself. Good job censors.
  18. On a Monday night? Probably not a lot of watchers.
  19. That assumes that the cheater wouldn't adjust either. At the end of the day, it's a player match up, and Allen isn't yet ready to beat Bellihick
  20. The runs were called because that's been the weakness of Pats* defense this year. Unfortunately for us, they sold out in stopping our run game and dared Allen to beat them through the air. Almost worked.
  21. Yeah, that must be it. The OC is intentionally tanking the offense for the first 3 quarters. How about asking the QB to make a routine throw to his TE from the 15 yd line?
  22. Is there a possibility that the OC is bad because the QB can't consistently execute?
  23. How is Daboll bad when he dialed up plays that had the TE wide open in the end zone?
  24. This game is a W when the franchise QB can make a throw that franchise QBs has to make. That's 11 points right there. You will not beat Pats* by scoring 17.
