Didn't he come out earlier in the year and say he did NOT fit Rex's scheme and he didn't know why they had drafted him? He seems to feel he fits the current scheme better.
I felt really bad for him last time, in part because of the look on his face. He seems to be on every other commercial on TV these days, so his popularity is at it's peak, but he needs to worry about his future. Time to consider retirement.
No, I don't believe so. I think they are trying to win with what they have today but also trying to build a system for the future. I would like to see more adjustments to the system to fit the personnel, but apparently they have faith that the system is most important. I am encouraged that they are moving away from the zone blocking scheme and hope they continue to make adjustments like this as needed.
Figures. I am facing an 0-5 team in Fantasy that has Peterson as their RB. He will probably score 3 TD's against me this week and then do nothing the rest of the year.
He has replaced them with players like Gaines and Matthews and is stockpiling picks for the next couple of drafts to build the team his way. Can't judge him solely on this years roster that he inherited for the most part.
I disagree. Cincy is a decent team. They will keep getting better as the season progresses. We knew this would be a close game and it was. Don't over-react.
The good news is, we are building a team with the "next man up" mentality instead of a player centric system. I'm not saying all the pieces are in place yet, but we appear to be less dependent on individual players than in the recent past. It at least makes me hopeful.
