  1. Not morons, just people who stand by their convictions. I am not saying I personally agree with their decisions, after all I am still rooting for the Bills and watching games, but I do not judge them for their decisions. I disagree with you here. The conservatives in question are making an independent choice to not watch football anymore because of behavior that they deem offensive. The "snowflake" mentality, as you describe it, is to try and force their ideals on other people. For example: this book, flag, statue etc., offends me and therefore it should be banned forever and NO-ONE should be allowed to read it of see it ever again. There is a big difference there. (I know we are delving into PPP territory here, sorry) That is the difference to me. I respect someone who makes the choice for themselves without insisting that everyone has to follow suit. If you don't like it, don't watch it, but don't be mad at me if I do.
  2. Regardless of whether he succeeds or not, he needed to get out of Buffalo. Too many skeletons in the closet for him here.
  3. LOL. Apparently Chad was allowed to vote. 1% of 83 votes. By the way, given this, the title should be one NFL player thinks... Not some.
  4. and last year was down 8%, so that is a 15.5% loss in viewers in 2 years. wow. I personally know a number of people who used to watch football regularly, but no longer watch aside from an occasional game and in some cases not at all. One of the common themes they all sited is that they will not support a league with players who openly disrespect our country, our flag and our military. Is this really hard to believe? 2 of the people I mentioned are former military and both cancelled their Sunday ticket. Are you really surprised that there are conservative Americans out there who take this seriously? If so, you aren't paying attention. I am not saying that this is the ONLY reason by any stretch, but it is certainly a contributing factor.
  5. If you hire Fitz as your back-up, he WILL end up starting: https://www.washingtonpost.com/amphtml/news/early-lead/wp/2017/10/15/the-ryan-fitzpatrick-curse-claims-jameis-winston-as-its-latest-victim/ Of course, injuries are a part of life in the NFL, but quarterback position tends to be among the least hard-hit. You wouldn’t know that, though, from the seven teams for which Fitzpatrick has played in his journeyman career.
  6. It does not appear to be very active.
  7. I was just messing with you since everyone else thinks you are a closet Patriot*lover. I agree that they are fair weather bandwagon fans but many of them forgot what it was like pre Brady/Belicheck. I can't wait to until the finally regress to the mean.
  8. people show up to root against them. Not in the leagues interest for them to be 8-8. And again, only Pats* fans complained about the league conspiring against the Patriots. You must hang around a lot of Patriot fans.
  9. uh, only Pats* fans said last year that the NFL was out to get the Patriots*. I don't know for sure WHY the refs overturned the obviously correct call on the field, but the truth remains that they did. Better for the league when the Pats* win I guess.
  10. It has nothing to do with people watching or not watching the anthem. It has to do with many conservative Americans turning away from the NFL due to a perceived disrespect of the anthem and therefore the military, by some NFL players. In reality, I believe it is a combination of all of the above. The product on the field is watered down and the NFL owners seem a bit out of touch. Is it only MNF that has lower numbers? I am under the impression that ratings and attendance are down across the board.
  11. I can't quit you! I cannot wait to see this graphic updated by the end of the year. There will likely be at least a couple of more drops in there by the end.
  12. Does Favre have one last comeback in him? Maybe he have been on the Tom Brady, avacado ice cream diet.
  13. Exactly, he is the guy who can play awful all season long, and then look like Aaron Rodgers for the one game he plays us. Always makes me nervous.
  14. Yeah, but this guy is an annoying Bostonian homer. He bitched about a penalty that should have been called on the other team almost every play. "That was holding"! "How is that not pass interference"?! Etc, etc. Made it impossible to enjoy the game.
  15. I am concerned about every game. I have not gone in to a singe game in awhile fully relaxed. Comes with the territory.
  16. definitely not. Now way of knowing if the leg will hold up or if he will ever be the same again.
  17. I had to listen on the radio, and if it was the same guys, I agree completely. They were complete homers and I ultimately had to stop listening because they were so awful.
  18. I am assuming that would be a price tag they consider to be "too high". They are likely offering us a 6th or 7th rounder right now.
  19. There have been some rumblings about a few teams that could use TO, but no way he pushes his HOF availability out another 5 years.
  20. My 14 year old son is a pretty good athlete and was a good football player. He got a concussion last season and decided to stop playing football and focus on basketball and baseball. I loved watching him play but I did not try and change his mind...
  21. Thought so. By the way, I just realized you were the artist formerly known as Teeflebees. I was wondering where you've been.
  22. I heard some fantasy "expert" predicting yesterday that Shady was going to be the top running back in the league the rest of the season based on the opponents we face the rest of the season. I agree with this for the most part. Maybe not #1 but certainly a top 5 RB from here on out.
