Believe or not this post made me feel a little better. I did not read the link, but thought that someone was calling the dogs constituents. -
A couple of prediction from a Fox Sports Writer
OGTEleven replied to Kipers Hair's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bill, I respect your opinion on Travis and agree with it to an extent (but not the same degree). But I have to say you are losing some credibilty with me based on your negativism towards Losman. To be a QB in the NFL you need to have some combination of arm, brains, feet and will. It's true we won't know until he is on the field, but nobody has really ever questioned Losman's feet or will. His arm seems to be well regarded also. His head is tbd. I think the odds of him doing well (if you consider doing well as matching Bledsoe's '04) are very high. Bledsoe has an arm (great one). He has no feet or head and a questionable will. He did nothing to make the Bills of 04 better than they would have been without him. IMO, that sets a very low bar for Losman. I honestly don't see how he can fail when measured against Bledsoe. I'm not promising a SB run, but when we compare 04 to 05, I seriously doubt anyone says: "We would have done much better with Bledsoe" unless they are deluded. With regard to Henry: Let's say you're Jax and just for stojans and giggles let's also say Taylor is down. Henry may be a bad football player, but he would not be a bad football player in the small subset of available RBs. He'd be one of the better ones. He'd also come with a cheap salary cap #. If you're Jax, and you think you can make a real run, what would you give up for him? Put on the rose colored glasses of a team that thinks they have one hole for just a minute. Is it at least plausible that they overspend for him based on their opinion of the other players on their team and their chances? I think it is. It may not be likely, but it is plausible. -
Never start a sentence with those words, because your sentence will always be wrong. BTW Blz, My eye doctor and I are suing you. Cut it out. Seriously.

Bush calls for toning down of rhetoric
OGTEleven replied to EC-Bills's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
There is one thing I can almost promise. No matter who is nominated, that person will be painted as extreme, draconian, fascist, and every other name in the book. They will supposedly be "ultra-uber-conservative". Bush could nominate the ghost of FDR and this would happen. The dems risk overplaying their hand and looking stupid, but they are probably willing to risk this given SDO was in the middle of so many issues and her replacement will be viewed as someone who could tip the "balance" of the court. -
That is what the NLFPA agreed to when they negotiated with the owners. Whether it is one contract or the combination of two, terms are terms.

When they stand still they usually lose. -
You did not. You could not have looked at that obvious scam of an e-mail, and thought the problem was the dollar value. That can't be happening. You go through 4 days of pickle juice abuse and then post something like that? No way were you serious.

What is the best way to convince Nathan's to have a "BF's crap pile" eating contest next year? Would Kobayashi wint it?

I want to substitute rubbing alcohol for the pickle juice to be sure my stomach lining doesn't recover too quickly. How do I keep it from burning off during the one hour cooking process?

Rummy says insurgency could last decade
OGTEleven replied to Reuben Gant's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
They probably waited for now to say this because if they said it any earlier, there would have been less supoport for the war. Who do I blame for this? I don't blame Rummy and the admin, or the dems either, but the general populace and to a certain degree the press. This insurgency should have been painfully easy to predict (not all the details maybe, but definitely the general theme). I'm sure it was predicted to some degree, but if it was publicly predicted it would have made it more emboldened and also made the US citzenry less supportive because the war would be lasting longer than a season of "Lost". Personally, I think the war was one of the best of a series of bad options in the ME. There were no good options, but standing pat would have ensured an ugly world for a century. This does not guarentee a pretty world, but it gives us a chance. There is a lot more work IMO, but we have to become incrementally prepared for it because that is our nature. It is not a positive attribute. -
I doubt too many people live in an area like that.

Tom Cruise - The wheels are flying off
OGTEleven replied to Talonz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I saw Matt Lauer on a celebrity golf show. He looked like a very good player. With that said, Cruise is setting his standards too low if he only aspires to know more than Lauer. His intellingence is just above the average used douche and just below a flying plastic cup. -
You may want to re-phrase that.
-
His playoff record of 0-0 would have held up well into the future. Of that i am sure.
-
And the alternative was Bledsoe who was a sure thing to lose for years to come.

The Sox seemed to have an advantage in both parks last year.

I doubt it will be a barn burner. Aren't the Pacers the team with all the thugs that burn down buildings?

Shouldn't I have been looking to the right and you to the left?
-
Almost exactly the same and it sounds like we may have been sitting near each other. Was the "winning goal scored" to your right or left (it was left of me)? I had thought that if the Stars won I'd watch the ceremony. The 2 AM bit and the fact that they were very dirty and holding behind every play made me hate them too much to stay. We didn't hear a thing about the play until we got to the car. When we got to my in-laws house we saw it on TV. They called plays like that back 100% of the time in the regular season/playoffs that year. 100%. You're telling me that a fat 50 year old in my beer league can kick the puck to his stick and shoot without looking but that Brett Hull has to look around for it but still has "control"? Typing this is getting me angry again. Anyway, if they had shown that thing on the jumbotron it would have been a bad scene.

Do you feel Tiger Woods lost today?
OGTEleven replied to Fake-Fat Sunny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You're right. I checked the scoreboard in the paper today. It had him listed under one guy and over about 150. Next ot his name it said $700,000.00. What a loser.
