He probably should have taken Unitas or Rice with that 7th round pick which was wasted on Pucillo. What a maroon. Most 7th rounders end up in the pro bowl. Ours end up in Cleveland.

Did Bill Frist just throw his hat in the'08 Ring?
OGTEleven replied to OnTheRocks's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Does this mean that everything should be centralized at the Federal level in order to avoid any imbalance on any issue? If there were cures to come out of California funded research, the patient (let's say a Nebraska native) would pay and the company selling the cure would collect. If California was one of their "investors", then California would collect too right? -
The "problem" is not bad ratings. The "problem" is giving a forum to a guy that killed 300 kids and would gladly kill 300 more. That problem is rooted in the media seeing itself as "outside observers" of the news. There is merit to being an unbiased reporter of the news. Giving a forum to an individual such as this so that he may air his grievances might be considered news BEFORE HE FRIGGIN BLEW UP A BUNCH OF KIDS.

But they do not predate human nature which capitalism utilizes far better than any other economic system in history. -
Where did you study Chechnyan law? There is no moral obligation. Plus it's good for business. If they leave him out there he can kill 300 more kids and ratings will go to the moon. Maybe he'll even tip them off and they can get the cameras in position. Think pay per view. At least your high fallutin intellectual theory of the medias role will be intact. Too bad for the future exploded kids, but hey we have standards to uphold. I'm sure if the Islamists win the battle in Chechnya and/or elsewhere, they will remember the media's neutrality and treat them very kindly. They'll probably write an amendment to their constitution just like our #1.

Of the catches Campbell made last year about 50% seemed to be of the spectacular variety. Is that because he is a bad TE or because Bledsoe hasn't thrown a good ball over the middle in 7 years? (Please note I am excluding the throws that hit the MLB between the numbers as being "good balls".) Bledsoe is looking at the outside part of the field 100% of the time as a first option. Either Bledsoe was lousy or Reed, Aiken, Campbell, Euhus, Neufeld, Shelton, Jennings, Teague, Tucker, Williams, CV and other ALL were. I'll select option A if you ask my opinion.

Sabres drafted some guy with a Z in his name. That must mean he is good.

I can buy to an extent that the Pelstinian movement doesn't care much about AQ, but the reverse is not true. AQ cares about Palestine inasmuch as it is #1 excuse to perpetrate attacks. If Israel were gone tomorrow, they would think up some new excuses and only stop when the world was 100% like them, but to say Palestine doesn't matter to them is incorrect. As for Saddam, he was clearly the top military regime in the region with the possible exception of Iran. He was not too far from being in a position to muscle other regional nations around, with or without WMD. Even if he did not have any, can anyone really believe he was not trying? There was no way to be 100% sure where his programs stood. To say that the UN was on top of it is ridiculous. If he were to get WMD (let's say nukes, just in theory, and not presume a year or two timeline, but say a decade) he would have far too much leverage with other ME states for us to counter. Do you think it was the best course to let the UN monitor this and hope things worked out ok? He clearly had displayed his intent in the past. He had displayed his desire for WMD for a long time. He had clearly obfuscated inspections. He shared an enemy with AQ (us). He had a built in excuse to rally the entire ME (Israel). I don't think leaving him alone would really be a winning strategy in the long run. As for "diverting our resources", what specifcally could have been done to capture Bin Laden that had to be delayed/cancelled due to Iraq?

Because we all know that there aren't enough State, County, City, Town, or Village goverments, bridge, port or transportation "authorities' to ever manage a project as big as putting up a bridge. We need an all powerful centrally controlled government for that. While we're at it, I think my town could use another McDonald's. We only have about six. There doesn't seem to be any private sector funding interested. The town fathers are asleep at the switch and Pataki is a lame duck. Should I call my congressman? -
If it was so obvious that we are "creating the next generation of terrorists", then the proper course of action should be similarly obvious. Care to share it? Your definition of the problem is right out of the handbook of lefty editorials littering the newspaper for the last 4 years. So far, I haven't seen any of them offer a solution other than "encourage change from within". Please try to be a litltle more specific than that if you care to tackle this issue.

I'll give you the schedule (I see it will have no impact on the beloved Pats) but the rest is weak. In order to be less than Bledsoe, Losman would have to be less than worthless. He has an arm, and can move. By all reports he also has some fire and is pretty smart. He will certainly make mistakes, but will also make plays. Bledsoe mostly made mistakes. In order to buy your assessment of the line (compared to last year's) I would have to assign Jennings all pro status. McGahee's grades indicate that you did not watch the Bills play much.
-
If I was a Pats fan I justify the Pats record. I think it is a bit optimistic. I'm interested in why you think the Bills will be 7-9. That's 2 games below last year after cutting a QB you categorized as worthless. Why the dropoff? Perhaps because you're trolling?

If not ice cream perhaps miniature golf? What is the solution besides calling other people stupid?
-
Let's take them all out for ice cream. We'll create a wonderful person beneficial to society. And they won't have to register because we'll know they're at the ice cream stand.

The judge has reviewed it and has said that it was not specific enough. Therefore.....WRONG!!!!!

You'd have been WRONG!!!!!!!

Go to the doctor again and tell him strep is bs. Did he test you for strep? If so, what were the results? What is the medication? Tell the doctor about the weight loss and sweats. Don't wait for the weekend to pass. Call now.

And now for the correct answers: 1. Tiger Woods 2. You will see Martina McBride sing the National Anthem. Not only will the Bills win, but you, from wherever you are, will say: HOLY CRAP, they are going to win just like McLaughlin said. 3. Led Zep III (3 for you less than literate minions). Most seem to consider it their worst album. It may be there best and definitely broke new ground. 4. The Most meaningless thing in the world to a woman is a FACT. 5. It is just a matter of time until ERYNTHERED will become a COUNTRY MUSIC fan. (Wiburys a good start.)

That's not even as good as Buck - Jeff Gracely. WRONG!!!!!!!
