Hey Mick, There is no need to put people down as "states righers". Some people earnestly believe that arbortion is murder. Some disagree. If you believed it, you would have to believe that every state had the right to make murder legal in order to give them the same power over abortion. I'm not sure, maybe technically states could make murder legal in their borders. There are some things that people hold higher than states rights. It is not necessary to pigeon hole their argument as mutually exclusive.

In order to be what the Chargers were, a team would have to be totally out of the blue. Many were calling the Chargers an NFL Europe caliber team heading into last season. None of your four teams (although all have potential for good seasons) are regarded that poorly. The only teams that can possibly be "the 05 chargers" are the Titans, 9ers, fish, and Browns. Mick, You appear to be saying that military operations have no place in this and we should all be resigned to being attacked. If that is what you meant or you are in favor of some other type of force, you should clarify your position and describe it more fully. If you feel the military should be used to some extent, you should describe the extent. If you feel force has no place at all, you should state that. With all due respect, you seem to be stating we're all stupid for not just throwing up our arms and hoping we are not the next one blown up.

Bin Laden has stated exactly that in writing. Mickey's expectation level (that it won't stop whatever our immediate tactics may be) is probably correct from a short term view. From a longer term IMO, it needs to addressed in BOTH a harsh and diplomatic way. The harsher the better. The diplomatic side involves convincing the rest of the muslim world to deal harshly with their own problems. It ain't gonna be easy, but if we aren't harsh there is no way the muslim world will come down hard on their terrorists. They need to be more afraid of us than the terrorists. It's not nice, but it's true.
