It was a blowout because the Chiefs are awesome. and asked in anothe thread but it’s super important. They are the number 1 and 2 ranked fantasy qbs this week. I have both. Who do you start? ? They weren’t close to losing. They were in cruise control.

Quick question: I have Mahomes (ranked 1 for the week) and Brady (ranked 2) in my one fantasy league. Who do you start? ?

Interesting point. But I think the problem with guys like Brennan is they lacked physical skills and most likely peaked in college. It’s why I hated Manziel. He simply didn’t have the physical skills. Imo, super college production without physical skills guarantees nothing. Good production plus physical skills equals a high draft pick. And lack of production plus physical skills equals prospect qb, which rarely succeed on the next level. Of course this can happen and I think every Bills fans who doubts Allen would be very happy about this. I’d also point out that Goff had like 50 tds in a power 5 conference and received possibly the best offensive coach in the nfl. Allen wasn’t dominatin the MWC and had Brian Daboll, who has a terrible OC record in the nfl. and the counter to your point is EJ Manuel after his first 4 games, which are completely superior to Allen. And I defended EJ! But I pray you are right.

Come on John. This happens all the time. The nfl loves tall guys with big arms. Logan Thomas was talked about as a a 1st round pick before his last year in college. Jake locker got talked about going 1st overall and was like a 50% passer. Blaine Gabbert was talked about a 1st overall pick and had 16 tds in a spread offense his last year in college. These guys get hyped up because of being tall and having good arms. yes, most college qbs won’t make it in the nfl. The problem is some guys have a way higher bust rate than others and since I’m consistent, it’s what I said about Allen before he was on the Bills. If fans were more honest, we would be laughing at Allen if the Jets took him. I would love for him to be the exception to the rule. But based on every offensive personnel and the complete lack of plan this regime has with him, I’m not super optimistic.

Thought this was the game that was going to trip him up. Not his best game but given the opponent, very impressive. I really hope Allen turns into something because PM lols like the next great one.

Fair enough brother. But football can be so much better. Bills fans always seem to have to settle for a water down version of what the rest of the league does.

This point doesn’t make sense. Are you saying McBeane have more talent this Jauron got more out of his less talent? and SM is a dime a dozen nfl head coach and that’s perfectly fine. I think he could have a good career. He just has way too much power.

Tyrod was a 6th rounder who was talked about switching positions in the nfl. Allen is the highest drafted qb in franchise history. So yeah, I expect better performances than this. Haha. What a drive! Our standards for good good football are so low. I get being a homer. I used to be a hardcore one. But go watch other teams. We are like in a different league offensive.

Very fair. But man, sometimes you can just tell. I was one of the last defenders of EJ, JP, and Trent. But there were plenty of signs early. I’m still giving the guy 2 years but I’m very worried about the ability to get offensive players around him. I love St Brown in the draft and I’m watching him make plays with Rodgers. He was a 6’5” freak who went in the 6th.

Agree 100%. But that’s why I hated the Allen picl. Do you trust the Bills to develop a raw qb? This regime has failed at almost every offensive personnel move. Now, We just have to trust them?

And Allen has had more of this games in college than people want to admit. It’s worrisome. Positive note. Defense played great.

I’m sorry. I’m venting. Allen was the last guy I wanted the Bills to draft. He seems to have the right attitude but his scouting report is dead on. he is displaying all the things Taylor got killed for.

You realized our qb passed for 80 yard in a W? He “led” a comeback where his coach won’t let him throw the ball past the line of scrimmage?

Why? Because it does follow the cult? we replaced Tyrod (and I wanted to) because he wasn’t good enough passer. We are in a pass first league where records are being set and we are barely averaging 100 yards! Besides blind faith and trusting the process, why is anyone confident in this regime’s offensive scouting?

I mean it’s cult like. I love the Bills. Wins are Better than losses. I have serious doubts about Allen even before the Bills picked him. But that was some awful football. Take a look at the league. This is not normal. He’s young and the offense is terrible. But man, the scouting report seems dead on. I doubt he could have gotten a worse receiving core.

He is basically running the team. Again, Look at the Jauron rosters.

Tyrod didn’t have that last year. I mean it it was a bit sarcastic but a lot of people overlooked his college performances. He had a bunch of these type of games.

Fun fact: EJ had a much better first 4 games than Allen. I hated the picK and think they blew it for stupid reasons (it snows every day in Buffalo so you need a big arm!). Still want to give him 2 years but man, he is exactly what I thought he would be and it’s terrifying.

Wins are always nice but other Bills qb would be getting killed for this game. This is Allen’s 3rd won in 2 years where he passed for under 100 yards. Isn’t that why we got rid of Tyrod?
