Yeah, that mess of having good players and winning 7-9 games! What heroes! i mean they deserve credit for getting lucky and ending the drought but this offense has been unwatchable for 2 years. Again, it all falls back on Allen. If he fails, they are done.

Omg. It’s part of the job. As annoying as the media is, it’s what he gets paid for. Asking why a guy who has the worst interception % in nfl history is not out of line. But trust the process and don’t ask me any tough questions.

Rather have a JuJU or Cooper Kupp and the pick from trading up to get Zay. Zay is now a 3rd receiver so he’s trending up. But man, this is so sad.

I, along with pretty much every non Bills fan, would trade Allen for Watson in a second. He had his flaws but he’s also averaging 300 yards passing a game and might have an oline worse than the Bills.

EJ averaged more yards passing than the other 2 qbs. For as bad as EJ was, he averaged 197 yards passing per game. That’s how bad this offense is!

Only on a Bills board can we laugh at a qb who has over 1,000 more passing yards than us as a team.

While this is true, those guys were also much, much better players in their last year of college than Allen in much better conferences. MT, who has his own question marks, completed 68% of his passes for a 30 td/ 6 int split. Goff competed 65% for 43 tds/ 13 ints. A little different than 56% for 16 tds/ 6 ints in the MWC. additonally, they both had their defensive coach fired for young offensive coaches from very successful offenses. We still have a defensive coach and an OC who has been bottom 5-10 OC at every stop he’s been at. i was ready to move on from Tyrod. I was ready for growing pains. But Allen is going to be heavily criticized because the overwhelming evidence is qbs with his deficiencies fail at extremely high rate. And having a coach like McDermott and Daboll doesn’t make you feel much better. I really hope hope he turns out to be the answer but man, was this an insanely risky pick.

Because they are gaining offensive yards by passing the ball? I thought you couldn’t do that.

They have a ton of similarities. They both had very average last years in college (Allen didn’t make All-MWC, Gabbert had 16 tds in a spread) and they were unquestioned top 5 picks. They are guys who get drafted him because they look the part rather than perform on the field. obviously, it doesn’t mean Allen will be Gabbert but there is a comparison to be made. He didn’t say scared. It’s just when a rush comes, you can start looking st the rush instead of downfield. Great qbs are always looking downfield and to make a pass. Allen looks to escape the pocket. It’s one of the problems of playing him this early. and while I have questions about him, I will never question his toughness.

Mahomes/ Watson/ Rosen but since that isn’t possible, Allen.

We’re blaming JC now? I think given the crap we gave him, he’s done a good job. I don’t know why people want to rip him all the time. He is a very solid nfl coach who has been on some very successful teams. He is not close to our biggest problem.

1). They traded up for Zay instead of staying out and picking JuJu or Cooper Kupp. 2). They thought Jordan Matthews could replace Sammy as a threat. 3). They picked 2 undersized slot receivers this year instead of taking a guy like ESB from Notre Dame who is 6’5” and had 80 yards last game. 4). They traded draft picks for Kelvin Benjamin. 5) they hired Dennison, fired him and Tyrod, hired Daboll and on a historically awful pace offensively. 6) they keep Peterman, nice guy, around to be terrible. i know it’s cool to try and blame Whaley and the salary cap for all of the problems but it’s not true. A lot of the offensive moves are self inflicted.

There is zero reason for 4 games. I do feel bad for the fringe nf players because this is where you can earn a job. But I think EJ had like a 140 QB rating one preseason.

I kinda shows how “good” Fitz is. He has a very limited arm but can at least make plays. I’ve never seen anything like NP. I do feel kinda bad for him but it’s painful.

He seems like a really nice guy. At this point, if SM cares about Peterman, he needs to make sure he never sees the field again. He will have no future in the nfl.

For me personally, Allen is exactly what I thought he would be and it’s why I didn’t want us to pick him. His weaknesses are the ones that are very difficult to overcome. I mean we’re stuck with him and he should get 2 years but he is making EJ’s rookie year look amazing. He didn’t ? his pants. I will say he looks the part minus the passing part.

I can’t tell if this is sarcastic or not. I watched the entire game. I’ve also watched other football games. Nothing about yesterday was good. He made 2 good passes. I think Bills fans are suffering Stockholm syndrome for years of bad offensive football. They were before my time but I would imagine they would have faired better in today’s nfl. It has never been easier to be a nfl QB (which is still the hardest job in sports).

So fans can overreact.

It’s not ever close in today’s nfl. It is so much easier to find defensive players and a good DC, than the other way. Wade Phillips was on twitter begging for jobs. if you draft a qb, you need an offensive head coach. If you inherited a franchise qb, then a defensive head coach is fine. But this league wants you to pass and score. The Bills are in another league.
