Now he has a chance to win, and he's making huge money on his new five-year contract, but beyond that, now he knows people will see him on TV. No matter what he does, good or bad, it will matter in the grand scheme of the NFL. That matters to players a lot more than we think. https://billswire.usatoday.com/2020/01/25/buffalo-bills-worst-city-nfl-pro-bowl/ A winning season, top-end head coach, and rabid fanbase can only do so much to change the opinions of how people see visit the Buffalo Bills. In an anonymous survey of Pro Bowl players by The Athletic, Buffalo was the “winner” of the “Worst NFL City to Travel to.” Buffalo still can’t dodge the view that the city is the Siberia of the NFL. The Athletic highlighted that players had no trouble determining the worst city to travel, as one-third of the players surveyed selected Buffalo. 1) NE is the marquee franchise. No doubt about that. 2) NE offered him a ton of money. both things could be true. At a lie detector test, what do you think the number reason Gilmore choose New England? Was it for fame (a dude who never talks) or Monet? Of course, it’s money and he got lucky it was offered by the Pats (who Bills Fans laughed at For the contract). He would have signed with the Bengals If they offered him that amount.

Honestly, how much more? I think you can only get so famous as a nfl cb. Like if Allen become an elite level qb, he will get plenty famous in Buffalo. It’s just the nature of the position he plays. Deion Sanders is the only real famous corner I know. And Tre is a good dude and funny but it’s not like he’s Kevin Hart (overrated but still).

Karlos Williams making a comeback

Exactly. He moved down, got a pick that turned into Kiko, who had a rookie of the year type season, got hurt, and traded him for McCoy. But that was Nix move apparently. -

The 2014 defense shut down prime Aaron Rodgers and the last great Peyton year. They would have had no problem with our offense. Qb play held that team back but they were loaded with skill players and had a very good oline. 2014 wins 10-3 on a defensive td by Preston Brown. -

Ah, this boards logic. Whaley gets no credit for good moves. Only the bad ones. -
Mike Clay 2020 team projections: Bills
C.Biscuit97 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
9 wins is winning the division. The Bills could be a better team than last year and have less wins. Our schedule was joke last year and we caught every break. This is the real test of how far the process is. If they get double digit wins and Allen improves against this schedule (obviously it’s early but it does seem harder), I will be fully invested in the process. -

I really don’t get people like this. Admit you were the problem, take control of your life, and then fix the problem. This guy would be in the league earning decent money if he could take any accountability. and even if you don’t believe it, fake them. Smile, nod, say the right things, and then take crap about people to your friends and family like normal people do. -

“Making a comeback”. I am also “making a comeback.” so his way of making a comeback is trashing the guy who drafted him? Who is his agent? Antonio Brown. BS. That 2014 team would have curb stomped the 2017 team and would have been the favorites against last year’s team. -
I’m totally sure about Bill Walsh did nothing without Montana. McCarthy won a lot of games but imo, he should have won SBs with Rodgers. People questioned Reid as a coach (stupid B word still). Think about all the coaches Manning elevated. Then when he got a potential all time great qb, he won a Sb. personally, I think coaching is very overrated in the nfl. If Allen is good, McDermott will be good. Belichick is a great coach but he has a losing record until Brady. I think a top 5 Qb matters a ton more than a coach. Imo, the best coach and he never gets credit for it is Joe Gibbs. 3 SBs with 3 different qbs. A lot different than riding the same qb to multiple wins. JMO.

Carruci: Bills not pursuing Cam Newton

I mean that definitely is valid. I just feels he gets a very bad rap. Terrible dresser but when healthy, a top 10 qb who has played with some garbage offensive talent. -

He was off to the best passing start of his career 2 years ago and running less. He was evolving and then got hurt. -

One-Hit Wonder: Brandon Spoon 2001

Could have been the next Gronk. My condolences. ? and this is why no one should ever get mad at players for trying to get every cent they can while they can. It also seems like we’ve had some terrible injuries to linebackers - Spoon, Cowart, and Spikes (who was going to be the best Bills LB ever). Damn shame. TD was awful after that. I mean this probably goes on everywhere but they didn’t just give him the passing grades. Wasn’t the story that Robert Smith wanted to be pre-med at OSU and was told he couldn’t because he needed to focus on football? I salute a school like Stanford that actually has legit student athletes. -

Have you ever seen the punishment that Cam took? And he won a Heisman and MVP. What could he do if he took his job serious then??? and I want the best possible team. So if Winston is our backup, that would be a huge upgrade over Barkley. But what if Winston is the better qb in camp over Allen, which is a very realistic possible? What happens then? Our backup qb has almost double the int % of Winston.
