He played in a high school offense (that finished top 10 in scoring) with terrible qbs (Tyrod was a solid game manager but passing down field was not his strength), hurt his foot (ask anyone receiver, it’s a killer injury), rushes back before it was fully healed to prove his toughness, and it missed him up the rest of the time he was here. He averaged a 0.5 Reviving yard per game more than Diggs has when he was a Bill. I like good football players personally. Couldn’t stay healthy and that sucks. But it wasn’t like he was playing with Brees or Rodgers when he was here.

Sammy Watkins restructures contract - Will Return

Yeah, I should have clarified. Physically demanding. That’s why it’s absolutely insane watching the knee jerk reaction to cornerback play. This is a league where they want you to throw the ball and put up monster stats. Dak (who I think is a lot better than most people but still) almost three for 5,000 yards this season! Dak Prescott! Yet, fans lose their minds If a cornerback gives up a catch. It’s wild. -
Missed where someone called him a generational talent. He did led the Chiefs in receiving in the playoffs (he averages 91 yards a game in the playoffs for them) and helped them win a SB. bills fans trying to put Gilmore and Watkins are like that fat guy looking at a famous supermodel and saying she isn’t really that hot. Look at her toes (Rex Ryan has entered the chat). ?

I mean, a lot of those times he’s right. There are blown coverage and a cb gets hung out to dry. Maybe he should talk about it on the sideline. But it’s nothing compared to what most cornerbacks. i just never got the “hate” Bills fans had for a good player who literally never talked or did anything bad of the field.

Literally Bills fans were crying because he didn’t smile when he got drafted. He would give up a catch and fans be like he’s an overrated bum. When he signed with NE, there was a monster thread laughing at Belichick for paying that overrated bum. And he unbiased football people knew he was a really good player. He literally never talked or did anything bad and he got trashed more than any good Bills player than I can remember. It was so stupid. And it couldn’t have worked out better for him.

I mean he was defensive player of the year. And they won a SB. I think Bill might have known better than some bitter Bills fans. and it’s weird because this doesn’t seem like Gilmore. But I’ve never seen a really good Bills player get dumped on more by Bills fans. Dude would shut down Antonio Brown and he would give up a catch the next game and people would be like Gilmore sucks. It was so stupid. And Bills fans laughed at NE and he became defensive player of the year. Just let the irrational hatred (he didn’t smile at the draft and I’m mad at him ?) go and let’s see if Allen and Diggs can make him eat his words. Pretty simple stuff (but I’m sure Some Bills fans will be belligerent a holes on social media instead).

This is how you evaluate football? Allen is better than Dak because of one game? According to that interesting logic, Tannehill is better than Brady. Cousins is better than Brees. Jimmy G is better than Rodgers. You don’t see the problem with this logic? The Buffalo Bills beat the Cowboys. And Allen probably had one of his better games. But while Dak has his flaws, we would ecstatic if Allen put up Dak’s passing numbers.

Such a ? take!!! Let’s just attack people for no reason! Free speech. Amari should call Rex a fat donkey who hasn’t seen his Richard without a mirror in 40 years. Free speech right? what mature adults (but 12 year old insults drive some people crazy in this country) can do is criticize a person without insults. He could have said Cooper disappears in games, which is true. But what Rex and other public idiots now (free speech!) do is just throw childish insults and morons (free speech) eat it up. Our country gets dumber daily.

Only on a Bills board could a guy who passed nearly 5,000 yards and 30 tds be a turd. If Dak is a a turd, what does that make Allen? and I’m not a big Cooper fan, but there are no bigger turd than Rex. Dude is so completely delusional about his own abilities and never takes any accountability on anything. I can’t believe I was excited when they hire that moron.

Josh Allen "Prove it" Season In Year 3

There is not a qb that the bills played that I feared less than Tannehill. He’s serviceable but he isn’t elevating you. And his wife is super overrated (not ugly by any means but very, very overrated). -

It’s absolutely insane Sammy is only 26! I wish he would have stayed healthy. -

And this just sums how irrational fans are cb play. A guy has a bad game and he sucks? The Bills love doing this with Gilmore. Once we are allowed, go find a guy who runs a 4.4 40, have him and the qb come up with a route, then guard that player without laying a finger on him. Next to quarterback, cornerback is the hardest position to play in the nfl. -

But he was also playing against subpar talent. Also his college rb is on the Falcons. And I would expect the number 7 overall pick to dominate the MWC. Put it this way, how many top 10 pick qbs who became good nfl qbs weren’t dominate college players. again, I hate being skeptical. I used to be the ultimate homer but I got burned too many times. Allen does seem real good things. He also does some really dumb things too. But on paper, he has a lot of talent around him. Let’s see him prove it. Eh, Tannehill isn’t that good. He was back to being Ryan Tannehill. Henry carries that team on his back. Tannehill was along for the ride. I mean he’s not bad. But very rarely is he the reason you won. I would hate if my team settled on Tannehill. He is the definition of meh. Again, his college rb is on the Falcons and his head coach was Carson Wentz college coach. How many college coaches have had top 10 pick qbs in 3 years? and are you saying the Titans are a smart team? -

They just traded a 26 year old player with this production. His former coaches were the ones saying this. I think it is incredibly naive to think he wasn’t a problem for the Vikings. that said, it’s not like he has issues off the field and is Antonio Brown, who the Bills almost acquired. But it’s clear with the AB and Diggs moves, the Bills are taking calculated risks on talented players with some attitude issues. Hopefully, it works out. -

Diggs is healthier and that is the major difference imo. And that’s just as important as talent. and Sammy was huge in the playoffs for a team that won a SB. That contract is worth every penny now. If Diggs has the same exact production and the Bills won the SB, it was a great trade. It would have been awful to have kept Gilmore and drafted Mahomes. I love Tre and he’s one of the best but this scenario wouldn’t have been bad either. -

This is a good post. I definitely think you are seeing this through Bills colored glasses a lot more than if you weren’t a Bills fan. I used to compare Brett Favre’s first few years with JP Losman’s to make myself think Losman was going to be good enough. my whole issue with the Allen pick is that we were hoping a guy who wasn’t that great in the Mountain West (and flat out awful against tougher conference teams). Would become a franchise nfl qb. If Allen does this, he would absolutely the exception to every rule. My prediction right now: he continues to show flashes but is kinda a game manager on a really good team who isn’t that consistent. And then are stuck in the Tannehill territory where he is good enough to get a second contract but we are pretty sure he isn’t really the answer. but I seriously hope you are right and truly mean that.
