  1. Barkley and Peterman have entered the chat.
  2. He was off to the best passing start of his career 2 years ago and running less. He was evolving and then got hurt.
  3. Could have been the next Gronk. My condolences. ? and this is why no one should ever get mad at players for trying to get every cent they can while they can. It also seems like we’ve had some terrible injuries to linebackers - Spoon, Cowart, and Spikes (who was going to be the best Bills LB ever). Damn shame. TD was awful after that. I mean this probably goes on everywhere but they didn’t just give him the passing grades. Wasn’t the story that Robert Smith wanted to be pre-med at OSU and was told he couldn’t because he needed to focus on football? I salute a school like Stanford that actually has legit student athletes.
  4. Have you ever seen the punishment that Cam took? And he won a Heisman and MVP. What could he do if he took his job serious then??? and I want the best possible team. So if Winston is our backup, that would be a huge upgrade over Barkley. But what if Winston is the better qb in camp over Allen, which is a very realistic possible? What happens then? Our backup qb has almost double the int % of Winston.
  5. Yeah, this is kinda of insane. What if the Texans didn’t trade Clowney??? What if Watt was fully healthy??? What if the Titans didn’t have an awful kicker? What if OJ didn’t go over to Nicole’s house? i mean it’s the offseason. But you would drive yourself crazy with all this stuff. Cousins had 4,300 and 30 tds the year before. Diggs is one of the best route runners in the nfl and a very good receiver. We are definitely overrating him a bit though. Great addition no doubt though. I just wish it would have be Hopkins.
  6. Totally And respectfully disagree Gunner. Brady maybe a d bag but I have a ton more respect for him. He made himself the GOAt from being a 6th rounder who lost his job in college (bs reason too). Belichick gets all this credit but has never won anything as a head coach without him (that Cassell season was a team coming off a 18-1* season). And besides this year, how many times have the Pats had great defenses? I would bet good money on the Bucs having a better season than the Pats. I think 9 wins is going to win the AFC East this year. This guy is a rapper now haha.
  7. In 2018, before he hurt his shoulder, Cam was hitting 67% of his passes and had a 22 td to 7 int ratio (along with 4 rushing tds). Obviously health is a huge issue but I’d be worried if they got Newton. He literally had a bunch of scrubs most of his time in Carolina besides Olsen. And Winston, who just had eye surgery, is a moron but he is also as talented as any passer in the nfl. Those two guys upsides scare me as a Bills fan if they went to NE. Personally, the funniest move would be for NE to sign Kaepernick and have everyone’s head explode. ? I know he was in a weird offense in college but I’d be stocked if Stidham turns into a starting level qb. He was hardly special in college and he’s just hyped because the Pats took him.
  8. I’d laugh. Fromm was a game manager in college and has Matt Barkley arm strength. Eason has physical tools but apparently is a tool.
  9. Definitely some bad picks. But was there anything worst than Chandler Jones for Jonathan Cooper? If the Bills made that trade, that would be a pinned topic haha. the team with the greatest qb ever has spent him picks on Dobson, Chad Jackson, Brandon Tate, Dave Thomas, Bethel Johnson. Awful, awful picks and Brady just covered them up.
  10. If the Bills has Tom Brady, this picks wont be so bad. Whitner was a reach but he was a starting caliber player for almost 10 years. On good teams, he plays a key role. On bad teams, he’s the poster child for what is wrong. but maybin was bad. McCargo is even worse because we ended up getting Kyle Williams in the same draft. But I’m telling you, the Bills don’t have significantly more bad picks than other teams. We just don’t have the qb to cover for the bad picks. See the Patriots.
  11. Good post but didn’t we just acquire Diggs, who had full on temper tantrums during wins? Also Brady has screamed at his coaches on the sidelines on camera. Marino would turn red screaming at his teammates and coaches. I’m telling you. Cam gets treated a lot different than most qbs. His outfits are stupid and sometimes he lets his emotions get away. But I’ve heard nothing but good things about him as a leader in the lockerroom. 2 years ago, he was completing 67% of his passes and was in the MVP conversation. Then he hurt his shoulder. The only reason he isn’t signed is because team’s doctors can’t check them out themselves. Also, the Panthers completely screwed him by releasing when they did. Maybe the Bears sign him instead of trading for a way more expensive and less talented Foles. Either way, I hope is healthy and gets a chance to start next year. I think he has a lot to prove.
  12. People do it all the time and it’s generally wrong. My favorite example is the 2018 qb class is so far superior to the 2017 class that would be dumb to take a qb then. Great call by draft “experts.” that said, they would be absolutely insane to not add another receiver. This is a small group and badly needs size. If the add a Claypool or Pittman, I will be extremely happy with this off-season.
  13. That team beat Aaron Rodgers without scoring an offense td. In the last great season of Peyton, they ended his td streak. Where were the weaknesses on that team? It was loaded minus that qb. If you put any good qb on that team, yup, they are SB contender. That was the best defense since ‘99. A truly dominant unit.
  14. You’re crazy if you think he was running that draft. We took Jones and Proehl because McDermott was friends with Jones’ coach and Proehl’s dad. You mean people who tell the truth and not just make up things to fit their agenda. Whaley certainly made mistakes. You shouldn’t trade up for a non-qb in the 1st. EJ (though he believed in the guy and thought Marrone didn’t develop him right and he didnt). But he was never given full power to hire coaches yet worked with every coach they hire. And that 2014 team, next to the 2004 team, might be the most talented team of the last 20 years and probably would have beat our 2 playoffs teams. he’s not close to as bad as he is made out here.
  15. But when Beane does it, he’s a genius. Lots of double standards on this board. For real. He was a starting cb on a SB champion. Lewan isn’t that great (Titans can complain about him all the time, Tom if penalties as seen in the Bills game) and you’re full of crap if you thought OBJ was going to be the player he is. Sammy was far and away the better college player. Sammy after 3 years had numbers similar to Julio and he wasn’t exactly playing with Matt Ryan. But yeah, you shouldn’t trade up in the first round unless it’s a qb (and those can be pretty risky too). good think the new regime doesn’t do this. Oh wait, they do it all the time!
  16. But even saying that, we still had some really good rbs and adequate LTs. It’s all about the qb and we’ve had 20 years of subpar qb play. It’s telling that none of our guys of the last 20 years had any moments after they left the Bills. Exactly. Gore is good and it’s amazing that he lasted as long as he has as a rb. But he was rarely one of the best at his position. Hall if Fame is supposed to be greatness. Gore was good not great. It’s like Eli. Eli was never one of the best qbs. He had a .500 record. But because he has 2 rings, he gets in. But without those, he’s not a HOF despite a lot of “stats.”
  17. Haha, you’re right! He has 21 ints to 10 tds. Quarantine is making me dyslexic.
  18. Yeah, I preface it by saying it needs to be a qb that was developed into a good starter by another franchise. my point all along is that the Bills drafting isn’t close to as bad as some people make it out to be. Whaley, who gets ripped on here, built a SB team minus one position. If the Bills had Brady instead of Orton and EJ (who got terribly developed here), they are a potential SB winner. NE makes terrible draft picks and trades all the time (Chandler Jones for Cooper!!!) yet they consistently win because of Brady. I really do think it’s that simple. IMO, this team is a very solid playoff team and how far they go depends on much Allen grows. JMO. Decent??? That’s all decade stuff there. Yup, all decade play. He was really good here on offenses with very limited passing games to open up lanes for him. mcCoy, kinda a shady dude but one of the best trades in Bills history.
  19. Wow. You’re working hard on this one. If the Bills have Mahomes and Gilmore, maybe they win the SB last year. also since the Bills are good at identifying cbs (which I agree with), maybe draft Mahomes/ Watson in the first and draft a cb later.
  20. He had 1600 total yards, 14 tds, and averaged 5.4 ypc in 15 games in 2015. It’s true. The Bills are great at drafting running back. The rest of the nfl doesn’t value running backs. But let’s give a vet rb $3 million: year still and sign another fullback!
  21. Barkley isn’t good enough. It’s painfully obvious. He has a 21% int ratio (Winston is at 3.5!). But I do slightly understand why they don’t want to bring in a guy that could beat Allen out in camp. But given our qb play last year, I think any decent qb could win games if Allen got hurt.
  22. What team is giving up a high pick for a running back who just had a 4 game suspension? He killed his trade value. I think you really have to work hard to blame the Lynch trade on the Bills. Peters is definitely more open to debate. But I think crappy qbs was more of the problem than not having Peters. While they didn’t have a Peters HOF talent, they had serviceable ones. The drop off from Peters to say some random Bills LT I can’t remember after he left isn’t close to the Grand Canyon between Brady and Losman.
  23. Yeah with Rex, he inherited a top 3 defense and had a top 10 scoring offense. That is all on him. im just saying before Rex, if you traded Brady to the Bills, they are in the playoffs consistently and that 2014 team might have won the SB. I do think it’s that simple. But this would be a developed qb because I didn’t trust the Bills to develop a guy.
  24. I get it’s a lot of money. But what are the chances you get someone who passes for 5,000 yards and 30 tds? it’s weird. Because I bet if we put a poll up, the majority of fans would pay Allen big money right now. Yet, people are hesitate to pay Dak. Good post and I agree with a lot of it. But I watch other teams. Bills fans have such a terrible concept of good qb play, with good reason. 200 yards passing is like a miracle for us. If your nfl qb is averaging less than 200 yards passing and completing under 60% of his passes, it’s below average qb play. Plain and simple. i definitely see why people can get excited. He has a great attitude, physical skills, and wants to be great. My problem is his track record hasn’t really shown a lot of consistent greatness. There are flashes and quarters/ halves. But it’s never a whole game (except Miami, his numbers are built on Dolphin Blood).
