I like what you have there but I don't think Peters could play LT, I think he'd be better playing RT. One of these days I'd like to see Mike Williams switch over to LT. Hopefully we can get Bentley.
I'll give you the Williams thing but you said they have the makings of a good offensive line. That's why I asked you who are you kidding. Gandy at guard? Maybe as a backup. And yes, I don't think Peters would be a good fit at LT. But if the group that you mentioned is our OL next year, I think we'd have an average line, not a good line.
I agree 100%. I'm not sure why so many people are against Eric Moulds when clearly he's done a tremendous amount for this team and our best wide reciever.
He's right on. I'm not sure who mentioned this about a week ago but they said that the game was won between the trenches. That is a clear cut weakness for us. London Fletcher is a good football player but he can only do so much if the people in front of him are at least putting up a fight.
Several have criticized Brian Urlacher this year for being overrated. Now that he has a defensive line that is improving he's starting to become the same playmaker he was his rookie season.
Give me a break. You think that will end up being a good offensive line the way you've lined them up? I certainly don't think so. An effective LT is essential and Peters is not that guy. Maybe RT, but LT? Come on. LG with Gandy would be trouble, and I don't think Mike Willaims will be with us next season.
I get your point. Still, I don't understand how you can get rid of a playmaker like Moulds. If for some reason he doesn't play in a game this year, lets see how good our wide receivers do without him. If I'm wrong about this, I'll be the the first one to apologize to you.
So basically you'd give up one of our best players and 5.5 million for a DT, OL, #1 early draft pick, Clements, replacement for Posey. That's obviously going to cost more than 5.5 million for the 4 or 5 things your asking for.
He's a very good backup quarterback. He gives the team a chance to win. That's what he has proven. I'm not sure why he doesn't throw the ball longer than 20 yards other than maybe twice a game, but maybe that's the play calling.
Lets be realistic. We collapsed down the stretch after the 2nd booth review. Our offensive line had a better game but NOT their pass blocking. Truthfully I didn't think we played that well to begin with. I felt like we were matching the Patriots intensity in the first half. When we got up to a 9 point lead in the fourth after we couldn't move the ball, I thought that we blew two opportunites to seperate ourselves from NE.
We are now. I was hoping for a win today, but clearly we didn't want it bad enough. There were several ways of prolonging this game while putting the pressure on the Patriots but we seemed to do everything the Patriots wanted us to do.
Its hard to comprehend. I would have liked to have seen the entire field on the play. Throw a 2 yard pass to the left side of the field is inconcievable. I realize that Moulds is still our best receiver and arguably our best player but why would you ask Moulds to run a pattern that won't get you a first down? I'm sure someone will be asking Mularkey that question along with several other mind boggling decisions.
I heard it also. First thing they have to do to get to the next level is get a solid quarterback. Also, they're playing the Saints. My goodness, do the Saints get the worst breaks in the NFL?
I understand that TD is trying to play his younger players and try to develop them but for some of them have been with us for more than 2-3 years and haven't reached their potentials.
That's because their not the best at their position. Even if this line could play up to average standards, I think it would make tremendous difference.
