Well try playing one on one all over the field. You would have a better point if it were Nate not making his plays, but when you rush 8 or 9 most of the time that going to leave some wide open holes. It was downright ugly at times today. The last drive of the first half by San Diego was a joke. We ran some bad blitzes, and then got burned just about everytime.

Denney is turning out to be a decent football player. With 4 sacks on the season he's creating pressure off that side of the ball. I think what we are getting out of Denney is probably what we'll conitnue to see, not dominate football, but good football. Kelsay will come around, right now, he's probably frusturated he's not making plays.

That's an interesting analogy. If it is truly lack of desire, don't you think management would have known that before we drafted him? I put that one on management. For having the number one pick for an offensive tackle that year, management needs to get that right.

I'm for the idea. Why not try it? I remember a few years back, James Williams of the Chicago Bears came out as a DL in college. He was a little smaller than Mike Willams but he switched over to right tackle and became a good player.

Well said, good post. But the LT position is not one that we could live with. Maybe this year, but next year? Gandy is a decent player and a good backup. maybe next year he could switch to LG. However, we need to upgrade that position.

You bring up an excellent point. However, next week we'll get big Sam back. That can only help. The question in my mind is, is Aaron Schobel going to continue the type of performance he had against the Chiefs? We were able to get away with Larry Johnson running for over 100 plus yards because our pass rush was solid, led by Schobel. If we can put the pressure on, we'll have a chance.

It's a lot to ask for. JP hasn't won on the road yet. Until he proves that, I don't think the playoffs are in our future.

The part where you said that he's a cocky little bastard is extreme. While one week doesn't determine the whole season, it at least gives us some hope.

I didn't realize that. I just know one time he was late switching over to his guy on a passing play which lead to a sack. I'm not sure if you were talking about that play. It was a bad game for Mike, but remember it was his 1st game at left guard in his career. Maybe he'll come back next week.

A 28 yard field goal with the wind behind you is unacceptable. Maybe the wind was a factor on the second miss, but the first miss could have been costly. Lindell has been good in the past when he's come off of a bad game.

Redskins defnse didn't come through today, and they had their chance. What I don't understand is how you can jump offsides twice on the extra point leading to the two point conversation. Why would you jump offsides?

I was watching the game with my dad and we both laughed when JP threw the first touchdown pass to Evans. I pretty sure Randy said it wasn't a good throw, that he should have thrown it farther out so the receiver wouldn't have had to make such a difficult/concentrated catch. Where else are you supposed to throw the ball, out of bounds?

It was shocking. Definitely at a loss for words when that happened. Gotta wonder why they choose to run that play.

Still Lindell missing that field goal is unacceptable. We needed that field goal to give our team a little but of breathing room going into the half. I hope the Bills can come out and hold the Chiefs to nothing on the ground. The max. protect schemes are effective and hopefully will be used the rest of the game.
