Lets be realistic. We collapsed down the stretch after the 2nd booth review. Our offensive line had a better game but NOT their pass blocking. Truthfully I didn't think we played that well to begin with. I felt like we were matching the Patriots intensity in the first half. When we got up to a 9 point lead in the fourth after we couldn't move the ball, I thought that we blew two opportunites to seperate ourselves from NE.
We are now. I was hoping for a win today, but clearly we didn't want it bad enough. There were several ways of prolonging this game while putting the pressure on the Patriots but we seemed to do everything the Patriots wanted us to do.
Its hard to comprehend. I would have liked to have seen the entire field on the play. Throw a 2 yard pass to the left side of the field is inconcievable. I realize that Moulds is still our best receiver and arguably our best player but why would you ask Moulds to run a pattern that won't get you a first down? I'm sure someone will be asking Mularkey that question along with several other mind boggling decisions.
I heard it also. First thing they have to do to get to the next level is get a solid quarterback. Also, they're playing the Saints. My goodness, do the Saints get the worst breaks in the NFL?
I understand that TD is trying to play his younger players and try to develop them but for some of them have been with us for more than 2-3 years and haven't reached their potentials.
That's because their not the best at their position. Even if this line could play up to average standards, I think it would make tremendous difference.
I wonder if we are going to put the franchise tag on this guy? If TD is still the GM next year, which he will almost for sure will be, I don't think he'll get rid of his first draft pick ever as Buffalo's GM.
How do you know the Bills will end up one of the worst 12 teams in the NFL? Were 3-4 and if for some reason we end up winning next week at New England to go to 4-4 heading into the bye week, there will be several people starting to get back on the band wagon.
I'm going to say say Left tackle or possibly center. Defensive Tackle would be a close second. I think we need to let im Anderson play a little bit more to see how good he is.
That's a good post. Its obvious that this defensive scheme isn't working. I wonder if there's going to be any adjustments in our overall scheme. This run defense thing is something that we need to change.
Thats an interesting point. Remember our game aginst the Saints this year? Our first drive was outstanding. Then what happened after that? Everything got out of hand and when we had plays that we had to make on third and short, we didn't make them.
I'm not jumping on that bandwagon due to our below average play yesterday. However, its great that its a must win game. I think all the pressure is on us.
Well clearly, Sam is a decent run stuffer but I don't think we have anyone else. The plan is simple with teams against our run defense. Double team Sam Adams and leave others one on one. It can be painful to watch at times.
