8/19: WR Kevin Elliott has been released by the Bills
Tipster19 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe releasing him early will allow them a better chance of getting him back on the PS. -
We have for the most part all the necessary pieces for a play-off team. I hate to say it but this is EXACTLY the type of team that Parcels would take over and make into a winner. I wouldn't want Gruden but if the Bills really want to finish up the Pittsburgh Steelers' connection then they should dial up Cowher and just give him what he wants! Maybe if he gets real lucky Marrone can stay on as a Quality Control Coordinator or something.

It couldn't be that the New York State taxes have anything to do with it now, could it?? I don't believe that some of the main reasons that players don't want to play in Buffalo is because of the region and/or wiinning or being successful. The days of the blood-n-guts players are long gone, it's all about the duckies.

Hahahahahahahaha, I just saw the errors of my ways! You guys are cracking me up, thanks for breaking the monotony! Could this be the start of a whole new thing (el Petulant Pegual)??! Lol! I promise that I did it all inadvertently, I'm at the hospital with my wife and as a true Bills' fan when there is something to post we don't let anything stop us, no matter how serious the matter is at hand! Lol! I was just in a rush and blurted this thought out while I had a few moments between doctors/tests, I didn't want to lose the train of thought like I have with so many others. Damn auto spell! Lol! I'll go back and fix the title now. Thanks again guys! Go Bills! I guess that I'll have to wait until I get home and do it from my laptop, I can't figure it out on my IPhone. Sorry!

So is it inconceivable that if Terry Pegula does in fact buy the Bills that he keeps Brandon? Brandon has been so committed in keeping the franchise in this community. I like the way he looks out for the Bills' welfare and believe that his loyalty is unquestionable to the franchise and community. I also really like the job that he has been doing since the passing of Ralph Wilson. Here's a vote for retaining Brandon & Co after the new ownership takes over, whoever that may be.

5% return ... no wonder the number of bidders is small
Tipster19 replied to Bocephuz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's a seller's market, there is only 32 of them in the world. With that being said, the Bills are actually one of the lowest selling franchises in the league, meaning that a buyer would be buying low in comparison to the entity. Also the Bills, I believe, are on the cusp of ascending, meaning the revenue should grow rapidly if they become more successful, fanbase would churn in bigger numbers, the possibility of a new stadium would help in the imagining, especially if a Super Bowl could be hosted and merchandise would swell. Btw, speaking of hosting a Super Bowl, I fully expect this to be one of the top, if not the top, priority of new ownership. This would recoup a lot of the initial investment if this were to come to fruition. -
Where did this DT Cohen come from

Hey, this post was meant to keep things light but I'm sorry to hear your situation. I hope all goes well and that you're up and at a Bills' game in the very near future. And oh yeah, btw, Happy Birthday! Go Bills! -

Oh man, I wish that I could be there! There's nothing like tailgating at the Ralph! -
Thinking about tonight's game against Carolina and their tenacious defense this terrible thought occurred to me. I hope that this doesn't become a preminition but being a Bills' fan I can't help but to worry with the way this preseason has been going. If something like this were to happen I think that this whole franchise would collapse right long with a good portion of the fan base. If this were to happen Tuel and Lewis would not be the answer!
-
I would love for us to trade for him and have him on the Bills. With his attitude, our lack of quality TEs and it also doesn't hurt that we open on the road against the Bears.
-
I'm just not comfortable going into a season with having the least amount of experience at the most important position on a team. While one preseason game isn't the end all it still didn't show me anything to give me the confidence that (A) EJ is the answer and there's nothing to worry about and (B) if something were to happen to him that we currently have an adequate back up to fill in . There just sn't a body of work with any of them to rely on. With having so many things on the line, things like new ownership, possible new location, heavily invested in other areas of the team, etc, etc, for us not to be prepared for the QB position in case any of them were to falter. With camp cuts coming up I think that it would be wise for the current administration to not be stubborn and be willing to at least have another viable option on this roster. If there isn't a servicable option in camp cuts then I strongly suggest that making a trade would be the smart money, otherwise Brandon & Co won't have to concern themselves about the 2015 season.

I agree about the secondary and man, what a hit/stop on the Giants' RB Andre Williams! The Duke rocked him! I think Kiko has more to do with Bradham's commitment and attitude than anyone else. He said that Kiko is his brother and they spent a lot of time together. Man, it sucks not having Kiko on the field for us this year! Oh well, the rest of these guys better suck it up and play ball, I wasn't too thrilled with most of our back ups!

Regardless of the thread title the point is that we are in trouble if this is a precursor to how our QBs play. I agree, EJ was pathetic and if Lewis is even close to playing like he did in this game then get rid of him. As far as Tuel goes he was leaps and bounds better than anything he did last year but talk about locking on to a WR! This guy went with his first option and never looked anywheres else! EJ needs to start playing some football and learn how to double pump a freaking football or this season is gonna go right into the toilet! That run defense with the 2nd stringers is just putrid! -
Buffalo is winning the AFC East Division this year.

No, I live in Florida. I have seen some of the highlights on my mobile app and what I will say is that it wouldn't surprise me one bit if Robert Woods is a monster this year. Having Sammy mixed in with some big splash plays and a grind 'em out run game isn't a far fetched remedy to help compensate for whatever shortcomings that EJ might have. I read somewheres that all EJ has to be is a point guard and not make drive killing plays. I like that analogy and believe that that's a realistic approach for him to take. What is factual is that we have a powerful run game with monstrous Olinemen with a strong defense, especially the DL. That's a recipe for success, even if the team is Buffalo! Yes, it's time to get excited fellas, haven't you Herd, the Stampede is on! Btw, what might be conceived as a negative I believe is our greatest asset and that is our administration has it's balls on the line. They may have no tomorrow and I think that they will play with reckless abandonment and just let the bullets fly. There's a reason why the Bills came up with the slogan that "it's our time", that's because there is no time. This year is our year, this one is for Ralph! Go Bills! -
There, I said it. No disrespect to any of the other teams in the division. But this truly is our time! The Patriots are the Patriots but we have played them very close in at least one game per year for the last few years and we have let them off the hook more than them winning those games. I do expect the Jets to be a very difficult task for the Bills. They will have a strong ground game with a stifling defense. QB Geno Smith won't have the weapons that EJ has and quite frankly I think EJ is the better QB. There would be no shame in a split with them and that is what's going to be needed to capture the division. The Dolphins should be last in the division but that doesn't make them a push over. With an unsettled OL the Bills' DL should be able to put plenty of pressure on Tannehill. Their ground game isn't intimidating and while they have decent WRs and a solid TE this is where we win on defense. I do believe that 9-7 or 10-6 can win this division and that it's very realistic for the Bills to achieve this. Of course if we were to take significant injuries than you can throw all this out the window but the same could be said for any other team in the league. Could the Bills even have a better record than this? Of course they can but a lot of things would have to fall in place for them for this to happen. All I want is for them is to play good sound football and not shoot themselves in the foot like they have so many times in the past several years. 2014 is our time, now let's go do it! Go Bills!
