Talent vs Multiple low level players?
ndirish1978 replied to 100DollarBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The OP. He's wondering if we would rather have 10 posters like him or keep @YoloinOhio -
Safe to say at Pick #9, we are focused on OL/DL

DT in the 1st would be my preference -
Bills one of 6 teams in on Leveon Bell

I thought the Raiders didn't have the cash to sign Bell to all this guaranteed money? Confused by that report because they have already coughed up a boatload this offseason. -
OT Ty Nsekhe (Redskins) to the Bills
ndirish1978 replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Like the Spencer Long signing, because of his age (despite his relatively low mileage), this is a bet-hedging signing that gives us options and flexibility. Nsekhe can play 4 spots along the line and could start for us at LT, LG, RT - so basically anywhere we feel he gives us an advantage. If we draft a RT like Jonah Williams, Nsekhe can play LG. If we draft an inside player to compete with Teller, Nsekhe can play RT. You need swing guards and tackles in this league and he appears to be a very smart addition. He'll most likely start at RT, but can push Dawkins at LT should that be necessary. -

Fake tough guy act is typical Jets. They are desperate for him to sign, so they try to force him into agreeing to terms. Morons -

Info that is 6 years old. Are we really going to start to care about old tweets now? He lost his job with the team he was with at the time, let's all take a breath rather than drag this guy. -
WR John Brown (Ravens) to the Bills
ndirish1978 replied to blacklabel's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nice, we needed more speed with the QB we have. These contracts are all front-loaded too and we had a bunch of cap space next year as well, I like that these signings don't preclude us from re-signing the guys we draft. -
WR Cole Beasley (Dallas) to the Bills

Watch out, your lack of knowledge is showing -
I step away for an hour because of, you know ...work and everything happens at once!

What I would like to see the Bills do going forward
ndirish1978 replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks. I actually almost put him solo as a spot on my list because i like him so much but I thought he ran a 4.77 as opposed to the 4.57 he ran. Love this kid! -
C Mitch Morse (Chiefs) to the Bills
ndirish1978 replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. The whole point is not to sign guys to monster cap-eating deals, it's to sign solid starters with outs in their contracts and draft their replacements without a crazy sense of urgency. -
Report - Bills Interested in WR Adam Humphries
ndirish1978 replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Except he's not a bad blocker -
13M per year is steep. I would expect Williams to sign a contract more on par with Morse considering his injury history. Absent that, the draft actually has decent RT prospects and I don't think RT is a position that you HAVE to have a vet at, we got the most important spot at C locked down at least.

Here's my wishlist: RT in FA to avoid the need to spend early picks on the OL. Williams or James are the obvious choice. I'd love to pick up another G, but I suspect we draft one in the first 4 rounds and let them compete with Teller. Edge rusher like Za'Darius Smith Ziggy Ansah because we will have a bare cupboard next year unless we break the bank for an avg starter in Lawson or a great player approaching the latter part of his career in Hughes. Trade for a WR, I don't like the FAs available. You can probably get a decent starter by swapping first round picks with a team that wants to move up and throwing in a mid-round pick. Obviously if we're going for top tier players, we'd likely have to pay more, but I'm fine with picking up a WR2 and not shooting our cap situation in the foot to sign the maybe # guys out there in Williams, Beasley and Tate, who are any good. Sign Thomas Davis - our LB depth is not good and he is a great locker room guy who still produces. We NEED him to teach Milano and Edmunds how to be next-level. Draft a DT in the 1st if we don't trade down and DK Metcalf is gone. Draft Hockenson/Fant or Lindstrom if we trade back into the teens. Draft Dalton Risner if we trade back into the 20s Draft a WR in Rd 2 - N'Keal Harry if he's around please. We need to walk out of the draft with at least 2 solid WR prospects. Draft one of Hunter Renfrow/Deebo Samuel/Hakeem Butler somehow Draft a RB somewhere in our 4 picks in rds 4 and 5 Draft a developmental LB somewhere - every prospect I know is either a mike or a will, so suggestions would be appreciated Draft a punter (ours are terrible) -
Not a bad start to free agency
ndirish1978 replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I understand people who balk at player salaries when being presented with puffed up numbers that include players completing the entire contract and hitting all their bonuses for marginal to average players. But, once the contract numbers are out it's ridiculous to keep parroting the same complaints as before when the information wasn't available. Kroft is on the same pay-as-you-go plan that we have Spencer Long on - we reserve the right to keep him if he's good and can drop him after this year with very few repercussions. -
13 Mil for that guy?! Wow. WRs are getting grossly overpaid.
