Report: Bills interested in UFA TE Jesse James
ndirish1978 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This fills a need and he's not a bad starter, forget the stopgap he would be our TE1 -

USA Today's 4-Round Mock - I'd be Thrilled
ndirish1978 replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Richie retired because he was upset about the money and stayed out of the league because he went fully nuts. If we had paid him, we'd just be out more money. -
Pass on all of them
-
Haha. Not a comment talking him down. Just wanted people to know a little about him in case they didn't know him. Seems like he was way overpaid just to be a blocking TE, bears boards hated the signing.
-
Sims is primarily a blocking TE.

Bills fans and why the love of Blue Collar teams?
ndirish1978 replied to Jrb1979's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't care if someone is a diva. I do care if they put themselves first rather than the team (the two are not mutually exclusive). AB wants to be famous, he wants people to treat him like he's special and couldn't handle the fact that the Steelers obviously valued his HOF QB more than him. I don't like me-first guys on my team because I don't care for them in real life. Not to mention the fact that he slept with Poyer's fiancé and I would rather have the #1 ranked pass defense left unmolested. If you bring in AB you'd probably have to get rid of Poyer and I don't want to break up the solid chemistry we've built on D. The way to get better as a team is not to create holes as you fill them. -
I am concerned with the rumors that Morse's career could be cut short by concussions.

A Little Help Please ? I Just Don't Understand !!
ndirish1978 replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They own his rights. They have chosen to trade his rights and his prorated guaranteed money will be assessed to their cap hit as a result. AB will receive his signing bonus from the Steelers and the team that trades for him will pay his salary. He is not collecting on two contracts, he will be paid his salary as determined by his contract, by the team who trades for him, including all roster bonuses and incentives. -

Bills sign C Spencer Long to 3 year deal

If that's really your purpose, perhaps you should take a moment to check yourself and see how you come off to others. It appears you lack self-awareness. You're on another team's message board acting pissy with people because they aren't pleased to see you. I can see you going to someone's house for a group dinner and complaining to the host that they didn't plan the meal around your gluten-intolerant, vegan diet. -
Inside Info (somewhat) - Kyler Murray

What kind of car do you drive?! -
Thanks for all the effort you put into this @transplantbillsfan I'd like to see Josh improve dramatically in regards to his short passes, but you're right he's not as bad as people make him out to be accuracy-wise. That throwaway percentage is ungodly. Hopefully we can support Josh with an actual OL this year rather than a bunch of mannequins dressed in jerseys.
-
If we sign Morse and Williams in FA we could go into the draft not without feeling pressured to draft OL in the first 2 rounds. This happens and picking a TE early wouldn't be something people complain about because "this OL was available when we picked", Hockenson deserves to be in the conversation in the first based on talent alone. If we can't sign OL in FA my dream draft would be a trade down 1-OT 2- TE 2- WR 3- C

I'll never understand why fans of other teams create accounts here just to talk smack. At least people like @Ice bowl 67 come in and ask pertinent questions and are cordial. Seems like a waste of time. -
With expectations higher, is anyone else calm?
ndirish1978 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll be calm when FA is over. I haven't been super impressed with our FA pickups since Beane took over. He has done a great job with UDFAs and IMO in the draft, but we haven't really signed any impact FAs. Granted, we were constrained by the cap and purging dead weight, but we've taken a LOT of shots signing these high-upside WRs and have come away without a single decent vet WR. -
Hockenson is an excellent blocker as well as receiver. Taking him would also help us a lot in the running game. That said, a good WR makes Ds adjust coverage so it's not as simple as "he can block so he's worth more to us."
