  1. I'll be calm when FA is over. I haven't been super impressed with our FA pickups since Beane took over. He has done a great job with UDFAs and IMO in the draft, but we haven't really signed any impact FAs. Granted, we were constrained by the cap and purging dead weight, but we've taken a LOT of shots signing these high-upside WRs and have come away without a single decent vet WR.
  2. Hockenson is an excellent blocker as well as receiver. Taking him would also help us a lot in the running game. That said, a good WR makes Ds adjust coverage so it's not as simple as "he can block so he's worth more to us."
  3. Never gonna happen. But I love this one.
  4. Where are you guys watching these games? I live abroad and have only been able to see whatever is on NFLN
  5. He hasn't been a real contributor for a long time. Seems like a decent guy, but this isn't a huge loss.
  6. He's a backup clinging to the idea that he is somehow relevant. The truth of the matter is that, should he not have started kneeling for the anthem he would likely be holding a clipboard and sulking as an unwilling backup who still thinks he's good enough to start. I'm not saying a single thing about his protest or activism, I just don't believe he has an accurate assessment of his worth as a QB.
  7. We have a million holes. Our punters have been abysmal. Would you use a pick on someone like Jake Bailey from Stanford?
  8. Taylor is a RT though. Seems like we could solve the "must get a tackle early" by signing Daryl Williams. We sign Williams and Morse/Paradis and we're open to making an investment in the office like Hockenson or a WR at 9.
  9. Well, this is good news to me at the very least, considering I thought it was more likely than not that the Broncos would bring him back. Now I can keep hoping we swing for the fences and sign at least one of these guys. Although I think Bradbury is amazing and I want him on the team about as badly as I'd like us to draft Dalton Risner. If we can stabilize the OL in FA, that just frees us up to draft some skills players and and go BPA.
  10. Can everyone calm down a bit now?
  11. This is on my gym playlist and I constantly think about how it's the most overly dramatic set of lyrics I've ever heard in a song, lol. Happy Birthday Jimbo!
  12. This is a conundrum for me cause I love how he plays. The value isn't there at our pick or his position, but I'd almost draft him just to avoid seeing him go to the Pats and lighting us up for the next 10 years.
  13. I've agree with almost everything you've said in this thread until this post. I believe we sign at 1-2 more vets and draft 2 OL. There are generally 7 spots reserved for the line and I would expect us to churn over 4-5 of those spots.
  14. People I like in the draft: Hockenson, Dalton Risner, Chris Lindstrom, Deebo Samuel, Josh Jacobs, Garrett Bradbury, Cody Ford, Jonah Williams, Alize Mack, Sutton Smith, Myles Boykin, Hunter Renfrow
  15. Officially requested? Well that's a done deal then. He aggressively postures while asking for them to please trade him. They should sit him on the bench and eat his contract next year.
  16. He's the swing IOL who will be offered a chance to compete to start. Not enough money to pencil him in as a starter. He was making 27M on a 4 yr deal with the Jets.
  17. This is the definition of "meh"
  18. I'm gonna disagree with this strongly. I believe he can play any of the interior positions but will develop into an outstanding C eventually.
  19. I'm not up for trades for players this season unless we wind up being able to pick up solid vets that would have been cap casualties for a song.
  20. It's imperative we sign 2 OL at least. I doubt we're able to draft 3 starters and get them to learn the nuances of playing OL in the league quickly enough to help Josh out this year. We need a vet C and and I'd like to sign a LG to push Dawkins' development along.
  21. It's lazy journalism and there really isn't an excuse for it. There are 32 teams in this league, if you're going to cover the NFL, you should have a working knowledge of all 32 teams beyond talking points and retweets. Bottom line is that was passes for journalism works in circles these days: 1- Uninformed person #1 writes a poor story; 2- "Insiders" retweet person #1's story; 3- A narrative is established.
  22. Don't care about the talent and don't care about how his video "wasn't as bad as it was made out to be." I'm glad we don't have a scumbag who hits women under any circumstances on this team.
  23. I'd like a T, TE, G, 2 WR, DE, OLB. Specifically I want Risner at T, Bradbury at G and we can move him to C in a couple years.
  24. Save being defensive for when you actually have a solid point to make.
