Over the next 5 years he should top the list. But he’s been incredibly healthy compared to players like Vick, Newton, and Steve Young. That could change quickly.
Allen will need to protect himself more and more as he gets older.
He’s definitely working on speed. But he’s faster than 4.61. Bills had him around 4.55. He’s easily a 4.5 guy.
Straight speed is overrated anyways. His issue is running routes. Plenty of 4.5 WRs have success in the league.
QBs were Brett Favre and Peyton Manning. Completely different players. Favre looked like a kid playing in the backyard. Manning was a tactician.
LaDainian Tomlinson was the greatest RB of all-time IMO.
Can’t even give credit to someone else. It’s crazy. There is this belief that Josh has done all these amazing things without any help at all.
Josh definitely helps the OL, but as Dawkins will tell you sometimes it’s harder because you never know where he’s going to be.
It’s the small things. I’m sure we can argue all day about the go ahead TD attempt to Shakir on 2nd down instead of an easy throw to Diggs to run the clock and get the 1st.
If I’m Josh in that moment I definitely don’t want Mahomes and Reid to have any time left. But that’s not how Josh thinks.
I remember always saying that I dont worry about Allen getting hurt while running with the ball. I worry about him getting hurt in the pocket. I still do.
I’ve said Allen is Mahomes’ equal in the playoffs. I give the edge to Mahomes because of 2020 head to head.
They both average about the same total yards and TDs.
Kelce runs whatever he wants. Mahomes and Kelce just do their own thing. Not talked about enough when discussing how great Reid is. I’ve long called Reid the best coach in football, even before Mahomes, but Kelce gets open because of Kelce.
Just thought of something to be critical of McDermott about in the regular season.
Zero 1 seeds! They’ve had an easy division, definitely should’ve had a 1 seed. Allen and the players have a lot to do with it also.
