  1. He could also get PTSD from getting put into early behind what currently looks like a less than ideal offensive line situation.
  2. This really seems like a simplistic way of looking at a topic that is quite complex.
  3. Did you read Ben Solak's review on NDT Scouting? Solak's write up
  4. I dunno, there's a lot riding against this kid. From the NDT Scouting Report: "Josh Allen’s sheet here only re-affirms what I already believed: you’re drafting a player solely on a potential, no matter where you take Allen. Allen makes some jaw-dropping throws, and certainly has some genera-tional talent. But the risks he takes when asked to process/decide beyond his first read or under pressure are absurd, and he cannot be trusted on an NFL field with his sporadic ball placement. On top of his poor decision-making as a passer, Allen scrambled on nearly 1 out of every 10 drop-backs and took a sack on 1 out of every 13. He simply is not yet an NFL quarterback—just a dude with insane contact balance, nice speed, and a cannon attached to his right shoulder. Allen very well can become an NFL quarterback, but a team investing in Allen faces the two steepest chal-lenges a young QB can face: improving decision-making (especially under pressure) and improving accuracy." From Football Outsiders: "Since 1997, there have been 27 different quarterbacks chosen in the top 100 with QBASE ratings below zero. The best of these quarterbacks was either Josh McCown or Brian Griese. It's a terrible group of quarterback busts. Negative-QBASE passers chosen in the first round include Mark Sanchez, Josh Freeman, Kyle Boller, Rex Grossman, J.P. Losman, and Patrick Ramsey. Allen's rating was -83, the only of the top 8 QBs in this draft. I am just going to hope and drink heavily.
  5. I hope you're right, K9, but this one kinda hurt.
  6. Why not? He is by all accounts a nice hardworking kid (juvenile tweets aside), and is big, strong and inaccurate.
  7. I think folks are complaining because they feel Beane was aiming at the wrong target. I tend to agree, and the EJ comparisons may haunt him his whole career if he doesn't pan out.
  8. Sure, I swallowed it. But it immediately came out the other end right after I did it.
  9. I there up in my mouth a little when I read that.
  10. 3rd round, didn't you see that Tom Brady went in the SIXTH! Stop wasting draft capital.
  11. Shhhhh, we don't want other teams knowing that he sucks.
  12. You can come hang out with your old buddy 10, we usually park right across the street from Hammer's lot, and if you bring your kids, maybe I'll bring my 10 and 12 year olds. Kids day is really the way to go though
  13. It cracks me up when people get on Murph and Brownie for being homers. Could you imagine how long you'd last at your company if you started writing articles about poor choices made by your senior management?
  14. Gutsy move, Goldie. How old are those kids? The opener is a CRAZY party, with WAY too many drunkie drunks.
  15. I have to fly in on Monday and have enough time to tailgate, then no way i can get back and get to work on Tuesday
  16. Ugh, that MNF game means 2 days of missed work for me.
  17. Easy tiger. Ice Bowl is a friendly. I'm thinking of coming too. Putting the wheels in motion today.
  18. We have NO IDEA what our offense is going to look like this year. You are forgetting that we also have a new OC, who may be better or (dear god no) worse that Rico. This is all to be seen. Lets see what pops up in the draft, watch a little PS, and then we make these kinds of predictions.
  19. Hopefully the Jets or the Broncos are sand bagging on him...
  20. Fair enough. Not bad insurance if the 1st rounder tanks though, no? That Ben Solak study really had me take another look at the kid. Kirk Cousins to LJ's Bob Griffin III.
