10/17: Kim Pegula on 98.5 Kiss
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Terry may be more interested in hockey. He just bought the Bills as a good thing for the city and will let Kim take care of them as long as she stays away from the hockey team. -
Classic Mike Schopp... cuts off Terry Peugla...
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to Buftex's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why would they dump them, people here talk about them all the time. So they are very relevant, maybe not in a good way, but still relevant. Where I live I get to listen to Dan Lebatard in the afternoon and he's not much better, just as stupid stuff. Most Wednesday afternoons he has 1/2 hour thing with the zoo keeper from the Miami Zoo. A couple years before that it was Prime Time with the Packman (Billy Packers son) He had an entire cast of idiots though over time I did get to enjoy him somewhat. It seems like afternoon hosts in particular want to show the world that sports is just sports, really doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things and anyone who lives and dies with sports.... well lets just say you should feel very sorry for that person as he really has no life to speak of, they are just pretty small minded. That seems to be the prevailing thought from these afternoon sports hosts. The trouble is people that post things on team message boards are not the typical sports fan, we're fanatics and we want real sports pretty much all the time. But there are many who just view sports as something to do when you have nothing else to do. Its like a number of years back I went to a Bills game with some friends and one of them drove. All the way there we listened to come music CD's where as when I drive I listen to re-game show, the post game show, and the post post game show. But I'm a sports fanatic, people who listen to Shopp aren't. -
A letter from Mary Wilson
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd love to getto see the letter MW wrote and was read to the other owners. Anyone know where to get a copy of that one? -
Even if true, it was only at based on RW and Littman's instructions. I really don't care either way whether he stays or not, but if he does, he'll do so based on following the direction he's given which everyone is assuming will be to spend more $$ OK I give, what/who is JR he referred to? The poster here?

A new dawn for Buffalo, Pegula vote unanimous
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah realized that after it posted. Why are typos and mistakes always easier to see in the post window as compared to the preview/creation window. I swear how many times I look post over, everything is correct, hit the "Post" button then 10 typos appears. (I probably have a typo here too) -

Anyone have any idea where RW would have fell on the list?? Just curious in hindsight?? -

Can we expect to see white smoke rise from One Bills Drive Wednesday AM once the vote is held?? -
They also have a rookie who's started the last two games, by next seaosn may be fine. So you may need one guard. If Williams comes back soon thta may take care of the other side too if they decide to flip them.

My ten cents on the game....
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to BmarvB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I keep hoping to wake up[ one morning to hear he was traded for a 2nd and 4th. If better than that even better. -
I'm hoping it was a case of it took Orton the 1st half to get back into the flow of things. Hopefully he'll start out strong next week with another week under his belt too of practice with the 1st team. Plus one more week of experience for the two O-line rookies.

Read the article about TP being the 4th wealthiest owner. Anyone have any idea where RW would have fell on the list? -
Multiple Reports : Pegula IS the new owner

I never heard anywhere that Brandon was a trustee. And for certain trustees do not automatically get a % of the trust. If they are paid to be the trustee they can be paid a fee. usually in the 1 to 2% range though I'd imagine in this case all the trustees are also benefactors but Russ is not a trustee, though he may be a small benefactor. And BTW executors don't get part of the trust or will either. Again they can be paid a fee, but that's it. -

People connect Littman in particulars refusal to pay big $$ in the past to many players leaving or new ones not coming which is likely correct to some level. That being said, he was just following RW's orders, so if TP now told him or Overdolf to spend 25% more, I'm sure they would. He may tell him that his ROI is not going to be very good, but still would execute the plan he's being told to carry out. Having said that I do think they will both follow Mary out the door by years end. I wonder if Littman is even getting money from RW's trust. It wouldn't surprise me if Littmann, Overdolf and even Russ B all become "trust babies" to some level. Enough to retire on, maybe not, but help soften the blow. All three Russ certainly less than the other two, have all been loyal to RW for a long time. Wouldn't surpise me if he rewards them for that service. -

What about Overdolf, isn't he also a Wilson guy? I was surprised to see Littman is only in his late 50's as I expected him to be 10 years older or so. Or was it Overdolf?? One of them was only in late 50's -
Article- Reality Check: Is EJ Manuel a Bust?
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've always said I'd be willing make 32 bets that the QB for that team in less than 3 years will be labeled a bust. And I'd throw Rogers, Manning, Brady etc, in there, sure I'll lose on those, but there are more failures than success at QB so easy to claim any QB will fail and you can look real smart as more than half do fail. -
Want Happiness To Start Off Your Tuesday?
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm torn re Sunday nights game. I'd like to see Cincy win, but on the other hand, can't see a team like NE losing three in a row. If they lose Sunday, the following week becomes a must win game for them, and my experiences have been that whenever a team is in a must win game where one more lose will knock them so far back they're done for the season, that team will find a way to win. In spite of everything, they still do seem to have too much talent to be dead this early in the season, but maybe they really don't have the talent anymore. We shall see. -
2015 NFL Draft to be held in Chicago
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well at least it's a little earlier this year. Not as early as it used to be, but better than last year. -
I recall when Patrick Ewing graduated from Georgetown, the guy could hardly speak. 20 years later was amazed at the difference.

The fact that there is even an argument about how much power Russ has by a bunch of people who know nothing about what is really going on means nothing! -
I think people are turned off by the sound of Collinsworth's voice and just go from there to find other things to not like about him. I think he's good.

Trade EJ for
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to Ed_Formerly_of_Roch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It was meant as a joke. The fact that Brady was benched last night once the game was out of hand technically made my comment correct. I expected some people to think it was serious, but can't believe not one person got it. Guess the people here are all wound a little too tight or are the most gullible bunch all in one place. I guess in the future I'll have to print in big letters JOKE -
Tom Brady. One benched QB for another seems like a fair trade to me!!
