  1. Cousins was dropping absolute dimes in the face of pressure last week. So many pinpoint accurate passes where he just looked like he was throwing the ball up for grabs. Brissett was also playing out of his mind against the Bills but didn’t get much help from his supporting cast. We’re getting these teams best shots, no doubt. And Buffalo can’t get out of their own way. It’s been a perfect storm.
  2. I suppose my standard for what constitutes a “fantastic” run defender is quite different than yours.
  3. I’d be willing to bet the decision to play or not to play has entirely been White’s to this point. The link I referenced where McD said “at some point you just have to go” supports that.
  4. McD on Tre White sitting out All but confirms what I suspected was the issue all along. Tre doesn’t want to hit the field until he feels closer to the player he once was. Bills have been patient to this point, but as McD says “at some point you’ve got to go.” He’s been medically cleared, has practiced for weeks, there’s nothing wrong physically, it’s on Tre to step up and play.
  5. The irony is that he was probably better than Rodger Saffold has been this year, but I don’t see him going to any team. OL has to be one of the most difficult positions to go from sitting on your couch, or even working out, to suddenly trying to impose your will on other 300+ pound guys.
  6. Would‘ve been nice to have Edmunds, but he isn’t a strong run defender anyway.
  7. Murph is the one voice I never really liked on Bills radio. His voice and the high pitched “touchdown! Touchdown, Buffalo!” never liked it. That’s the extent of his passion for the game right there.
  8. Love Knox the person, but that was a bad contract extension.
  9. I thought Bates quietly turned around his season a couple games ago. I saw him matched up one on one a few times in pass pro and just stonewalled the DT.
  10. Heineke looking very Josh Allen like on that last INT 😅
  11. Tre’s issue isn’t physical, he healed from the ACL surgery long ago. He put himself through a strenuous rehab, has been cleared by team doctors to play, and is no longer designated on the injury list. He even took off the red practice jersey. I get the sense he isn’t his old self yet and he knows it. He doesn’t want to step on the field until he’s closer to that version of himself. I remember Diggs saying a few weeks ago when he had a rep against Tre that it was good to run with him again and he can’t wait to get back to the battles the two have had. I thought that was a nice way of saying “Tre isn’t Tre yet.” But in the world of professional sports, at some point he’s going to have to get out there even if he doesn’t feel like his Pro Bowl self. Teammates are counting on him, his presence and knowledge is needed just as much. Weeks ago Frazier said just that: Tre is close and we can’t wait to get his positive energy back on the field. He’s gotta come out of hiding and work his way back to the player he used to be - and not entirely in a practice setting, I don’t think that’d be fair to his teammates who are gutting out various other ailments. I said it before, barring snow, I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t suit up against the Browns. The pressure on the organization only intensifies after losses and that pressure should force Tre out of witpro. Let’s see what happens Sunday.
  12. I haven’t read everything in this thread, but Dorsey only calls the plays, it’s on Allen and the rest of the offense to execute. Dorsey has to be better, no doubt, I’m not arguing that - and my main issue is with the lack of a running game - but if Patrick Mahomes was QB of the Bills, with Dorsey as the play caller, how would that offense look? And what would the Bills record be? Players play and coaches coach, Allen has to be better.
  13. This is new to me, which roughing call? Do you mean the pass interference? How was Edmunds horsing around?
  14. Not saying the Bills should have kept throwing, I said in another post on the drive the Bills went for the TD instead of the FG, 2nd and 2, at least one of those play calls has to be a rushing attempt. I was just wondering what the splits were by half because they had no success the few times they attempted to run in the 2nd half. Why was MIN able to take that away all of a sudden? While still putting clamps on the passing game? That was not a great defense the Bills were playing against, as has been the excuse the past two weeks.
  15. With the amount of negativity bubbling to the surface, reports of internal strife, and the team’s secondary struggles, put me on record as saying I’ll be surprised if Tre White doesn’t suit up against the Browns.
  16. What were the rushing numbers by half? In the 1st half they were successful, but seems every run in the 2nd half gained a yard.
  17. When Mahomes went through his bad stretch last year, he was misreading defenses and missing open players… but he was never throwing 2+ INTs per game, much less directly to defenders. I thought Allen came out focused, aside from that first tipped pass where he missed the defender, but after that he reverted back to the Allen of the past two weeks, against an underwhelming Vikings defense. If these two teams had met earlier in the season, before halftime of the Packers game, the Vikes would’ve been eviscerated, the Bills were riding high on confidence and in a completely different head space. I wouldn’t be surprised if the current rendition of these Bills struggles against the Browns and Lions.
  18. I don’t know what happened at halftime of that game, but I wish I could go back in time and upset the time continuum so that things don’t play out the same. This hasn’t been the same Bills team ever since leading the Pack 24-7 at the half.
  19. Cousins is a marginal QB, but he was throwing some absolute dimes under pressure today. Edmunds was really active in that first half, more than I had ever remember seeing him really, but he alone wouldn’t have stopped the 2nd half Viking surge. Unless he lost 30 pounds, got a whole lot faster/quicker, and switched to CB to cover Jefferson.
  20. Von Miller has absolutely been worth every penny of that contract so far. It’s so bad that we’re all sitting at home constantly hoping he’ll be the one to make a play because none of the other guys on the DL seem good enough to do it. I shudder to think what the defense would look like without Von. He and Daquan Jones are the only starters on defense not to miss time due to injury. That’s unprecedented.
  21. Allen isn’t on Mahomes level, but I don’t think the gap is gargantuan. After games like today, you do wonder when we’ll get the #17 back who used to hear “MVP!” chants from the home crowd. I feel like Daboll could rein Allen in, I don’t have that same confidence in Dorsey.
  22. Whether or not he played, to me it was a sign of how the Bills view the #1 seed and a first round bye. To date they’ve been extra cautious with players, seemingly overly so, but when #17 can go against a quality opponent versus sitting out, everyone involved wants him to play. Let’s just hope the injury doesn’t worsen. The way I understand it, it’d have to be another hit similar to the first and that he can’t tear it further just by throwing the ball. With that said, maybe there’s a chance Keenum starts and Allen is there in case the offense can’t move the ball.
  23. He’s had a couple called back due to penalty, otherwise he’d be atop this list with 4.5 games played.
