  1. Ok smartass, what part of the Miami game left you unimpressed? Was it his 24-41 for 294 (along with 50 rushing) and 3 TDs (2 passing, 1 rushing) versus only 1 int? Was it when he drove the noles down inside the miami 5 yard line at the end of the game only to watch a wide open WR drop the game winning TD as time expired? Also, did you watch him play any other games? I thought not.
  2. I'll sound like a homer, but don't sleep on FSU's Christian Ponder. Kid's a real threat as a QB, and i wouldn't be shocked to see him go in round 1 next year. Barring injury, he should also contend for the Heisman.
  3. You're not going to win with BillsVet's constant negativity. With the Gailey hire, he can claim that "everyone turned us down, and no one wanted the job." But, if the Bills did indeed target Gailey, he'll claim that they "didn't do their due diligence" in the coaching search. Don't worry though, a couple of wins by the Bills and he'll stop posting. Kind of like how he stopped posting for a while after we signed Dwan Edwards and Andra Davis.
  4. AKC is probably holed up in some closet with a calculator and a pencil crunching away with his newest "draft equity" study.
  5. He got married and his wife put his nuts in a jar. The board shouldn't feel bad however. I was his roomie for 2-3 years and i don't talk to him anymore. He's got "more important" things to do.
  6. I'm glad Joyce manned up about the call. It was the right move. But, his career is still going to be defined by this call. I've been a baseball fan for almost 25 years, and i think MLB needs instant replay in the worst way. There's no reason to live with a horribly bad call when the right call can be made. And spare me the "tradition" arguments. Just because something is a tradition doesn't mean that its not incredibly stupid. Let the umps call balls and strikes, but with any other questionable play, allow the manager to challenge the call, similar to football. If you want the game sped up, stop focusing on insignificant issues like the additional few minutes for a replay, and focus on the real time wasters, like the batter spending 15 seconds rearranging his batting gloves after every single pitch.
  7. It may be that thread, or another, but somehow, Holcomb's arm managed to say that evolution was bogus because birds hadn't evolved back into dinosaurs. Point: dinosaurs
  8. If wanting to and/or sleeping with an 18 year old girl is considered "immature," then i'm never growing up.
  9. Too many in this thread are letting their feelings about Levy in the GM role cloud their views about Levy the coach.
  10. bull ****. Making **** up and posting it on an internet message board doesn't all of a sudden make it true. This post is nothing but lies and fabrications.
  11. Its quite simple. BillsVet calls it "correct," because he'd rather be right and have the Bills suck so he can post on just how "right" he was. If the Bills were good, he wouldn't have anything to B word and whine about, so we'd never actually see him post anything on here.
  12. I've had both, but i have to rank 5 guys over In-and-Out. We finally got a 5 guys here in tallahassee not too long ago, and its hands down the best place to get a burger. Free toppings, fries to kill for, and the fact that you get a hunk of ground meat and not a pre-made patty make it the best place around.
  13. Please enlighten us on when exactly (your age and approximate location), you said to yourself, "i can either like women or i can like men, and i choose to like women." Because if you are going to continue on your fact-less asinine rant that homosexuality is a choice, then by definition, being heterosexual is a choice too is your warped, skewed view of the world.
  14. 1. How many of you guys would go to your job if the boss told you it was voluntary? 2. Why do Lynch's 1st 2 seasons of work get ignored in favor of his 3rd?
  15. You claim Whitner takes bad angles and then cite Jairus Byrd as a beacon of hope? As good as Byrd was being in the right at the right time for his picks, the guy was one of the worst run defenders last year. He took lots of terrible angles on ball carriers last season, probably one of the worst on the team since Ko "millions" Simpson was let go.
  16. I agree Russell is probably the greatest strategist to play the game, and i was pulling for him, but he's not the best survivor. The object is to win the game, and the social game plays a huge role in winning. Hantz hasn't figured out how to play the social aspect yet. Not even a little bit. As close as he has been towinning it, he's actually really far away from ever threatening for the million dollars. Parvati is also a weak player. Russel is a ugly troll and still gets to the finals. If Parv was ugly she'd be one of the first few people voted off each time.
  17. What gets me is how some of you guys would simply be satisfied if the series ends with, "the whole point was to get a candidate to protect the light." That answers absolutely nothing. And while i like speculating, i also want some answers and a conclusion to the show. I watch LOST to get entertainment, similar to reading a book or watching a movie. You expect an entire plotline, with a conclusion that addresses subjects brought up earlier in the book/movie/series. Speculating and not knowing the truth behind a lot of issues on the show after the show is over becomes lame in a hurry.
  18. Nah, the light was a bull **** cop-out. I could have lived just accepting that the island had special powers, without knowing exactly how it works, so long as we were given enough info to understand what the purpose of the island and the castaways/candidates were. And no, "guarding the light" isn't a purpose. As it looks now (and i hope it changes in the last 3.5 hours) we are left with some major themes, such as Dharma and the numbers, that have been largely ignored. If those huge themes don't have some greater purpose in the story, then why were we subjected to them for the better part of 3 seasons? Its like watching someone cutting, preparing, seasoning and cooking a steak, and when you sit down to dinner they serve you mac and cheese.
  19. Count me in with the crown that is extremely disappointed. The "light" of the island is like the midi-chlorians and the Force in Star Wars. A bogus, cheap cop-out. I didn't have an issue with just trusting that the island had "powers" but i thought we'd get more answers in the way of what is exactly the purpose of the island, what did the numbers mean, what was the purpose of Dharma, etc, not some cheap excuse of the "light". Last night's episode aside from that wasn't terrible, just horribly misplaced. It seemed as if the writers figured they needed to answer some questions, so they just jammed in a random episode just before the end. This episode would have been better had it been extrapolated, and had they shown it in season 5, or even earlier this year. My biggest fear is that LOST is headed towards one of the worst endings for a series in TV history. Between last week's senseless, just kill some main characters for the sake of killing main characters episode, i fear that we are all in for a huge letdown in the final 3.5 hours. I hope to be proven wrong, but i have my doubts about how things are going to end.
  20. You know, it is possible that some younger players such as Jamon Meredith actually improve. He's going into year 2, meaning he's had a full year of strength and conditioning, and will actually have a full Bills training camp. Young players can actually in fact get better.
  21. Don't forget...true or not, be sure to make sure her friends and family know how much she likes it in the butt.
  22. Sorry to hear that man. Like everyone else said, ditch the B word and be glad you found out now before you tied the knot.
  23. I also use a ziplock, or sometimes one of the shallow tupperware containers. Don't forget to remove the steak from the fridge and let it come to room temp before putting it on the grill!
  24. Why was Tim Tebow in Massachusetts?
  25. I'm partial to a Ribeye. Either seasoned with salt and pepper, or i'll let it marinade in Dale's steak seasoning.
