I've gotta admit, i wasn't a fan at all of the last episode. I'm interested to see where they are taking the storyline, and i am still a full believer that MiB can't kill either some of all of them. However, i hated to see Sayid and Lapidus killed and the Jin/Sun deaths were absolute garbage. It felt like the writers killed them off if for no other reason that to kill some main characters. There was absolutely no reason for any of those deaths and unless something drastically changes with those characters and the sideways world somehow, i've going to be seveerly disappointed.

For the last few episodes, you may just want to set your timer long. I've got DirecTV and the DVR has recognized the past handful of episodes as being 1:04.

The funny thing is, that the "cocky, arrogant rookie" will all of a sudden turn into a "confident field general" the second he throws 25 TD passes.

I find it funny that some people liken Tim posting here to a guest visiting your house. In a sense it was. You should treat guests with some level of respect. But, what are you to do when the guest at your house insists on acting arrogant and acting like he's above criticism and that you should simply be honored he's there? Because that's essentially the way Tim acted. His post about only getting 150 (complete bull ****) hits from TBD simply highlights that attitude.
-
I enjoyed Tim's insight and inside contacts. He brought a good bit of info to the board and it will be missed. That being said, he could have left without the melodrama. This is the 3rd or 4th time he's acted like he's above criticism and we need to worship him and his ideas/opinions or else he's going to take his ball and go home. That type of attitude isn't needed here at all, no matter if its coming from Tim Graham, some random noob, or Ralph Wilson himself. Most of us knew it was a privilege getting Tim to answer questions. But that doesn't make him better than us, which is the way he acted.

Yup. She picked this time to come out because she's got an album and a book coming out. Good PR move if you ask me. Get your name out there and wham, sell a bunch of albums/books right off the bat.

Buddy Offers Some Insight On the QBs
Ramius replied to yungmack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There's no point to even speculating on QBs next season. No one knows what will happen in the next college season and offseason. QB rankings will go up and go down. There may be 6 sure fire prospects, there may be none. Look at our own Brohm. He goes from possibly #1 overall to a mid-2nd rounder. You can't plan for potential QBs in next year's draft. There's no such thing as a "losing culture" among the fans. No matter how many times people type posts on the internet whining and complaining, it doesn't have a single effect on what goes on at OBD. People can repeatedly post over and over how they hate the decisions/draft picks, etc, and it doesn't make 1 iota of a difference. And contrary to popular belief, it is possible to disagree with what the Bills are doing, but still enjoy the season and not B word about every little move the team does. The playoff drought has frustrated the hell out of me, but it doesn't make me miserable. I'll still be optimistic during every off-season and training camp because it makes following the team much more enjoyable. -
In case you forgot, McKelvin was hurt all of last year. You can't really count that as a year of "doing nothing." And i wish people would get over the fumble. McKelvin isn't the first nor will he be the last player to make a mistake.

What evidence do you have that Troup would have not been selected until at least 40 picks later?

I guess the Bills are not as High on Evans
Ramius replied to Billsfan=pain's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Or maybe one of the band of idiots we've had coaching the offense would find some creative ways to get Evans open, or call him some patterns to get him the ball in space. When was the last time Evans ran a slant? Thats on the coaches, not Evans. If a WR isn't running routes that they are supposed to, they'd be benched or cut. So that isn't the case. -
I guess the Bills are not as High on Evans
Ramius replied to Billsfan=pain's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, and that would have absolutely nothing to do with the fact that reed was often on the field matched up against a nickel back and never really ran a pass pattern over 4 yards. -
Shouldn't CJ Spiller be reading the playbook and preparing for next season instead of "wasting" all him time twittering? I mean, thats the standard we hold Maybin and whitner to when they twitter. Or is CJ only allowed to twitter until he fails to run for 100 yards and 2 TDs in a game?

Mel Kiper gives the Bills a C-plus for Spiller
Ramius replied to LGB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Now i know critical thinking isn't your strong suit, given the fact you've never done any of it before you post, but chances are that they thought Bradford was the only legit long-term QB prospect, and that the other QBs would go much higher than the Bills had them graded. It seems obviously apparent that they thought almost all of the QBs needed a good chunk of development time, so why waste a high pick on one? -
I would have liked to see them address at OT at earlier point, but i really can't complain about the guys they drafted. And you seem to be ruling out that Some guys like Meredith may develop to the point where they are a suitable starter. Remember, the guy is going through his first full offseason, which is a time where young players often make major strides in strength and development. He's also going to have a full training camp with the same team (he was plucked off GB's practice squad). I'm not saying we can count on him to be a starter, but it is possible that the coaching staff sees things they like in him. And for the 1,000,000th time, i fail to see what the '06 draft has anything to do with the '10 draft. it simply doesn't. Jauron and Levy aren't affiliated with this team. its about time to let it go.

Just for some background, walterfootball has been singing the praises of Jimmy Clausen all off-season and saying he should be the #1 pick over Sam Bradford. Looks like he was a tiny bit off.

Looking back at this post, what bothers me the most is the bolded section. You're basically saying you don't care about how talented the specific players are, all that matters is what position they play. You don't care about how good the players we draft are, you simply want to spend 7 picks on the line. So we could have drafted Kyle Calloway at #9 and you would have been much happier than having Spiller. Reaching for a need is never ok, no matter the position.
-
If you think Spiller is a "small 3rd down back," then you've never really watched much college ball and are merely whining because the pick wasn't an OL.

The Pats just get it better than everyone else.

Whats the point of having 12 lower round picks when probably 10 of them wont make the final roster in september? -
Round 4, Pick #107: WR Marcus Easley WR - UCONN
Ramius replied to Tom's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No, actually it doesn't. -
There were 5 other DTs, but how many of them were true NTs? None. Troup is.

Best thing that could have happened to Buffalo.

UPDATED: Tim Tebow, QB, Denver Broncos
Ramius replied to Kingfish's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tebow was great in college. He won't do **** in the NFL. You can mark my words on that. Put it in your sig or whatever. -
You said that starting caliber rookies aren't found in round 2. I just named 3 round 2 draftees that started as rookies. Unless by "starting caliber" you don't mean starters.

Ramius replied to Kingfish's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chris Leak won the first championship. Tebag's "talent" doesn't translate into the NFL, except as an H-back or FB. SD must be really excited however, because devner just handed them the division for the next 4-5 years at least.
