  1. Word is that they are re-building franchise mode from the ground up for Madden '12. I certainly hope so, because the current mode is nothing to write home about. I am really kinda miffed that they essentially did nothing to change franchise mode from '10 to this year.
  2. Thank you. That single change screwed with the entire movie. That and adding a !@#$ing beak on the Sarlaac.
  3. Interesting comment coming from someone who doesn't actually watch any Bills games.
  4. Draft position has nothing to do with who is more talented and who plays better on the field. Whitner is the better safety, plain and simple.
  5. Agreed. Since when is the gallery allowed to walk all over a live "bunker?" And as was said on TV, if it is a "bunker," then it should be raked and appropriately maintained.
  6. I think he stepped back because there was light in his eyes. I've got no problem with the "grounding of the club in a bunker" rule. The problem was that what he hit out of wasn't even anything close to resembling a bunker. I have a problem with the fact that the PGA deemed anything not in the fairway a "bunker" on the course. If what he hit out of was a "bunker" then the LA Sparks are an NFL team. Toss in the "penalty if the wind blows your ball on the green" and the "penalty for hitting a stick during your swing that has no effect on your swing or the ball," and the PGA needs to re-think its rules and enter the 20th century for a change. (I figured that asking them to enter the 21st century was asking far too much)
  7. The PGA has successfully made an ass out of themselves once again with their arcane and asinine rules. I don't care one way or the other about Johnson, but to get hosed like that is bull ****. How the hell is it considered a bunker when there are 5000 people walking through it and the grounds crew dumped straw in it for foot traffic? There's no way in hell anyone with a sound mind would consider what he hit off of a "bunker."
  8. The kickoff return units haven't been the same since they got rid of the wedge.
  9. It may be a contract year, but its also the totally new defense that he's in. Nice having a coach who at least shows some semblence of putting players in position where they can succeed. He was certainly effective in his little time playing against washington.
  10. Of course, they said Hardy was injured and would miss 7-10 days, so its kinda tough to play and make an impact when you're hurt and not playing.
  11. Since you missed the game, you also missed the 3 QB pressures/hurries Whitner had coming on blitzes. You also missed the fact that Wilson and Scott looked terrible out there. Scott was slow and one dimensional, like usual. Wilson struggled. Hate him all you want, but he's the best safety on our roster.
  12. Now go play it on something higher than rookie.
  13. So is OC Timmy and conner is Jimmy? Or the other way around?
  14. Nice work and article John. Hopefully he has a kick ass season in the new defense and we extend him.
  15. Yeah, because i obviously meant that statement in the exact literal sense. Way to miss the forest for the trees.
  16. At our 5 guys, if you get the regular fries, they put the burger and fries in a bag and then fill the rest of the bag up with fries.
  17. No, smith has been bad, except for a brief stretch last season. If he continues to play poorly, drafting iupati and davis will have little impact on the 49ers success. If his play improves and he becomes a good QB, the 49ers will improve.
  18. This post proves that you are posting for no other reason than to trash anything and everything the Bills do. You've contradicted yourself twice. So if other teams spend high picks on the OL to improve it, they are to be commended for building a strong team the "right way," but if Buffalo spends 2 high picks on the OL, they are "panicking." Nice double standard. Also, if we take a position of need, its bad drafting because we should be looking for good players, but if we take the BPA, its bad drafting because we ignore needs and take what you incorrectly deem a "luxury pick." You are simply embarassing yourself with these posts and proving you are no better than a troll who is only here with the sole purpose of trashing any move the Bills make.
  19. Tampa Bay "did it the right way" by drafting heavy on the OL and ignoring the "luxury skill positions" from 2006-2008. See how awesome and unstoppable their team is now? And why is the drafting the OL all of a sudden going to improve the 49ers game in 2010? A 1st in 2007 (Staley), and a high 2nd in 2008 (Rachal) didn't improve the team at all. To everyone else: If SF is good this season, it will be because Alex Smith decided to be good all of a sudden, NOT because they took Davis and Iupati.
  20. Definitely go with the cheeseburger, built to taste. The cajun fries rock as well. 2 smalls can feed 5 people. The large fry isn't worth it. You dont get that much more than the regular.
  21. I'm surprised the Almighty hasn't smote half the Broncos for this outrage. He sit there and let them defile His son.
  22. Don't worry eball. When the Bills win a couple of games, Billlsvet will crawl back under his rock and won't be heard from. His only goal in posting here appears to be to piss on every last little shred of optimism that other fans might express.
  23. From everything i have heard, franchise mode is getting a complete overhaul for next year's madden. According to EA, they are building it from the ground up, and have already started development. I think thge reason why they have neglected the single player offline modes abit is because they've rolled out a bunch of new online stuff in the past year or 2. I agree that franchise mode does need a complete re-do (PS2 franchise mode was awesome...i have no idea why they changed it so much for the PS3, like getting rid of RFAs).
  24. Yeah, because no other team has ever franchised a player and then let him walk. See Samuel, Asante and *'s, N.E.
  25. Good teams do not reach for a player to fill a need (Bulaga). They take the best player on the board, because you never know when position of depth will turn into a position of need. There were no OTs worth the #9 spot. So they took the BPA.
