Have you been there recently? I used to hate LA, but over the last few years I've really grown to love it to the point where, next to NOLA, it's my favorite place to visit in the U.S.

Again, props to Beane for being in the conversation. Most of the NFL world had written off the Bills as being unwilling to make aggressive moves like this. At least this shows that the organization has a pulse and they're actually trying to win games, not just assemble an All-Sunday School Squad. CHILLLLLLLL.

Vontae Davis was a corpse in the preseason last year. So was Clay. Maybe it was too late to address at that point - but frankly those issues showed up on tape at the end of 2017.

He hasn't exactly been a bust - his talent has flashed, he's been hurt a lot. The concussions scare me, and the Bills don't exactly have a great track record when it comes to medical evaluations. But the talent is definitely there and at the right price, it's definitely a risk worth taking. The problem for Beane historically has been his tendency to poorly evaluate the medicals and then fail to have a Plan B.

I saw that too - it makes sense - and part of it, also, is the CBA and the lack of practice time you get with young QBs and all of your offensive linemen. Pass pro is just not what it used to be, and inexperienced immobile pocket passers (like Rosen, actually) are just not worth what they once were.
