  2. YE OLE feels the need to chime in and say that we collectively hope this can not continue to escalate. Collectively this board greatly appreciates the contributions that JW makes and it's clear that NGU has an inside scoop over everyone. Most all of the info. he has brought us has been well ahead of any reports from any media source and always 100% accurate. NGU, in fact, may actually be someone IN the organization. Lets not run him off either.
  3. Why did we dig this up from nary 5 months ago?
  4. Who needs that when you have Ryan "The Game Manager" Fitzpatrick throwing passes to Buster "The Underachiever" Davis?
  5. Amen, vincec! It amazes YE OLE that some have become so jaded by this era of bad football that they start believing this line about being a "rebuilding" team. "Well we won't be good for another 2 years and by then player X will have diminished value..." It's counterproductive to continue that way of thought. If we continue to cut our better players, we continue to chase our tail and that "2 more year" window remains a "2 more year" window every season. If McGee is one of the best 5 CB's on this team there's no excuse to cut him loose.
  6. Well played, JW... YE OLE never saw it coming!
  7. Wow, excellent find! Good old Leif Larsen... still 2nd place all time with 45 reps on the bench press: http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ycn-7663872
  8. Brohm was a strange case... had he come out early, he would've been a top 5 pick. For as highly touted as he was, it's bizarre that he didn't get to see the field more than he did. I had high hopes when we signed him, but it's almost like Maybin. He sucked so bad, he couldn't even get on the field.
  9. Fred Jackson is THE WHIP... FACT! Take it from YE OLE, anyone who says otherwise is a MAROON!
  10. YE OLE and family are sending our prayers your way my good fellow. God Bless you and yours.
  11. Our offense routinely stays on the field, sustains drives, and rarely ever goes 3 and out with Fitz under center. It's been a very long time since we could say that. If this team doesn't get this guy signed to a nice extension it's going to be an extremely frustrating ordeal. Unfortunately, it would also be the sort of head scratching decision that this team continues to make.
  12. Outstanding my Sphere o' Beer! YE OLE got a hearty chuckle out of this one. Excellent find!
  13. It would appear that this is a question best left unanswered.
  14. If there are any legal professionals on the board here, I really could use some advice. My father is engaged in a lawsuit over a rental dispute. Long story short, he owned a small business that went out of business about 5 years ago. He had equipment left after he sold property that he owned, which needed to be stored. A close friend had a cousin who owned a pole barn where my dad could store his trucks/tools he had left over. After a couple of years of storing his stuff there, there was a rental dispute and the owner of the barn locked my dad out and refused to let him get his property out. We attempted to get a Sheriff's deputy involved for a "Civil Standby" to allow us to get my father's belongings out but were turned away and were told we had to sue the landlord and settle it in court. A few months later my father reached a settlement with the landlord, pending an inspection of his property to ensure everything was unharmed. Unfortunately there was approximately $25,000 worth of property missing upon this inspection. This has led to almost 2 years of litigation now, and we've gone through 2 lawyers now. The end result has been "too bad you can't prove they took anything" and also my father is going to owe a large judgement to the landlord and have to pay their legal fees on top of the stuff that has been stolen from him. After he got this latest news from our attorney following a hearing yesterday, my father broke down. He's gone through tough financial times the last several years and now the only things he has left after this guy stealing from him, are going to be taken away from him it would appear by the court to pay this judgement. If there is anyone out there who might be an expert in this field and would possibly be able to give some advice please feel free to PM me. Thanks in advance!
  15. YE OLE must chime in on this. For those who say this is about us wanting to embrace great stories about "overachievers" like Kyle Williams and Fred Jackson; it's simply not the case. These guys are damn good players. We could've drafted either of these guys in the first rd. and I wouldn't be upset. Fred may not be flashy, but look at his yards per carry. Look at the way he seems to always move the chains. You hand the ball to Fred Jackson in a tight spot where there's no hole and he needs 4 yards, he somehow gets you 5. I don't know how the hell the guy does it, but he has an unbelievable ability to get "slippery" That's the best way I can categorize it. For every running back we've had come through here, we make the excuse that they've got poor blocking up front... except for Freddie. He still gets his 4.5 yards per carry. He's one hell of a talent. I love CJ and his physical gifts. In time, hopefully he becomes a real homerun threat, but right now based sheer performance, Freddie is the superior back.
  16. If Maybin turns into any kind of a player with the Jets, it's going to yet another indicment in a long line of indicments against the quality of our organization. Not that 1 sack against third stringers is an indication of that just yet, but it is far more productive than anything he did during his time here. As a Bill, Maybin was getting tossed around equally from starters to training camp fodder it seemed.
  17. Nix evaluates Says "I want to smell their breath" O-Line still awful
  18. Gumby! Very nice haiku my friend! YE OLE can never get enough of the art of haiku!
  19. Taro! Good to see you talking some football! How ya been?
  20. Pick any of our glorious teams from 2000 on, assign them a witty and descriptive motto for that season. As always feel free to add a complementary haiku to your motto. YE OLE will start: 2007 Buffalo Bills: "It's tough to win games in the NFL"
  21. My apologies, didn't see the thread was already on for this. Thanks for the heads up Mr. Stein. Mods feel free to shut this nonsense down in lieu of the other thread.
  22. For those of us out of town, where's the best place to find the game tomorrow night? Assuming a diehard like YE OLE doesn't want to wait for the NFL Network replay, of course.
  23. WGR is doing the Hunter's Hope Radiothon today and tomorrow.
