  1. Based on this list, YE would lean toward Stevie Johnson. It's tough, because I'm not overly confident that about the long term status of any of these guys on this team. I love Fitz, but it's always up in the air as to where we're going with QB. YE has taken the approach in recent years to stick with the customized throwbacks with one of our H.O.F. players on it. YE has been considering getting one done up with Tasker on it next.
  2. I have a moderate preference for Dareus at this juncture, but would be feel okay with either of these guys to us at #3. I know the talk has shifted to Von Miller of late, and I think he's a nice player, but it scares me not getting one of these big guys up front. And as much as I don't think Miller would turn into Maybin/Maybinot 2.0, his smallish stature does concern me a little. That said, with regard to the 3-4/4-3 issue, I would rather our front office not turn away top talent if it doesn't fit what they want to play.
  3. YE is afraid that draft day could go from first class to coach in a hurry... but YE OLE will remain cautiously optimistic until then.
  4. YE OLE is of the opinion that we are looking at going back to the royal blue jerseys... maybe just a slightly "sharper" version, and white helmets. YE has also not liked the rumored prototypes that have been floating around the interwebs of this new uniform. That said, anything is better than what we have now. Since the day Bledsoe trotted out onto the field when these uni's were unveiled we have been horrible with flashes of mediocrity. YE had heard tell once that the white helmets were changed to red because all of the other teams in the division were wearing white helmets at the time and it was causing an on field disadvantage with Ferguson, who I believe was the QB at the time, having trouble distinguishing. Has anyone else ever heard this?
  5. I completely agree. Washington was actually better when Locker was out.
  6. I don't think there's been too many smoke screens with this new regime. For better or worse, it seems to be Gailey and Nix' style to just throw it out there.
  7. The guy has been spot on EVERY time, without fail. At least according to YE OLE's scorecard.
  8. To this point, YE could definitely see Ralph playing the role of the "Gentleman Caller"
  9. Completely agree. Everytime I saw this kid play he looked awful. Undoubtedly he's one those guys that someone WILL take a chance on, but will ultimately fail at the NFL level. Hopefully we stay FAR FAR away from this guy.
  10. What Pegula has done thus far is nothing short of phenomenal. The things he said were things that as Sabres fans, I don't think we ever thought we'd hear. Hopefully we never have to hear the words "Cash is King" come out of Darcy's mouth ever gain. It's hard for YE OLE to see the Bills ever playing second fiddle, but a Stanley Cup or two may change things. If we've ever had a chance to see our Bills or Sabres bring home a championship, it certainly seems like now is the time. It would be incredible to have a similar ownership group take over the Bills when that time comes, whose focus is on winning and not just surviving. By the way, one hell of a goal tonight by Vanek to win that thing. YE heard that Gerbe had a highlight reel type goal as well, but YE OLE only tuned in just as OT started and missed that. I'll have to check THE YOUTUBES or something.
  11. YE OLE is going to be extremely frustrated if this pick doesn't go to the defensive side of the ball. We're in a position to grab either the highest rated DE or one of Fairley or Dareus. We MUST use this pick on the D-Line. YE can't take another year of being gashed by opposing running backs and QB's having all day to survey the field and pick us apart. I'm okay with either Fairley or Dareus at this point, but agree with the nonsensical notion of Fairley's stock dropping. There was a lot of chatter at the end of the season that Fairley would be the #1 pick. I don't see what he could've done since then to worsen his grade.
  12. We can only hope that Bushrod will join the likes of Wood, Wang, and Levitre on our O-Line.
  13. In all honesty, I don't think you can read much into what Rodgers said either. What is Rodgers going to say? "Yeah Bryan has really sucked this year." I've heard varying reports about Bulaga all year long. I wasn't crazy about the Spiller pick, but I'm not ruing the day we missed out on Bulaga either.
  14. YE OLE only hopes that we all had a hearty chuckle from this, out of posterity.
  15. [/sarcasm] Indeed this thread's sole intent was to poke fun at nfl.com's snafoo. For posterity sake, of course.
  16. The Dolphins are working on a contract "adjustment" for Tony Sparano following their failed pursuit of Stanford coach John Harbaugh, The Miami Herald reported Friday. Too bad they couldn't land John Harbaugh. Now they're talking contract "adjustment." Time to pay the piper. Link it up: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d81d869f5/article/report-sparano-talking-contract-adjustment-with-dolphins?module=HP_headlines
  17. Now the team couldn't win on the arm of just one man. The right QB for you, may not be right for some. A man is born, he's a man named Doug. Then along came ROJO, he's got the talent, but he's green! It takes different QB's for the team to win yes it does. It takes different QB's for the team to win. Oooooooh!
  18. Cam Newton is the next Rodney Peete.
  19. Like shootin' fish in a barrel my good Sphere o' Beer.
  20. The Chief running the skinny post... Fitz air mailing it down the middle of the field... unstoppable
  21. Poz and Wilson/McGee for a first rounder? Brilliant!
  22. Very interesting .... YE will be waiting for this most exciting news
  23. Pretty standard interview. In preseason I was hoping Brohm would take the reigns and run with it, but I was thoroughly impressed by Fitz this season. Hard to say what happens from here. If the Jets play their JV squad, it'll be tough to gauge where Brohm is at. It would be good to see him get some playing time though. We need to see what we have in Brohm moving forward.
  24. Brohm for 2011 STARTER... lets go Brohm! Lets go Brohm!
  25. Fitz won YE OLE over for much of this season, but YE would still like to see if Brohm can play. The problem with this game, however, is, if Brohm comes out and plays well, what will we really know about him having played the JV team?
