  1. YE OLE tried to cross the Moats one time. If not for an epic spinorama, YE would not have lived to tell the tale!
  2. Jimmy Spags! Good of you to show up. Lets hope the Raiders don't let use guys win this week like they did with us last week.
  3. Yeah, Jimbo has been pretty vocal about wishing some of our previous QB's well, but it was always in the vein of "he just really needs to step it up this year" I get the feeling Jim believes in what Fitz brings to the table. What little YE OLE has heard him talk about Fitz, it just seems a little different compared to how he would sound with regard to Trent and JP.
  4. If you are like YE OLE and you missed Fitz mic'd up on Wednesday night, it's now posted online. Definitely a good listen, the octaves Fitz hits after the Nelson TD are nothing short of impressive: http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-films-sound-efx/09000d5d8227428f/Sound-FX-Ryan-Fitzpatrick
  5. RTB, my good fellow, lets just say it now "ALL PRO Scott Chandler"
  6. Clearly this woman is a MAROON! YE OLE will have to fire off a stern memo to this operation.
  7. That Bengals game can't be taken too lightly. Andy Dalton is playing surprisingly well for a rookie. He's completing 66% of his passes, has not thrown any INTs, and has a 105 QB rating. Dalton was a fantastic college QB, obviously, but one would think he'd take a few bumps and bruises as a rookie in THE LEAGUE. If he continues to play as efficiently as he has, however, the Bengals are not an easy out by any means. That being said, I agree with the OP. We have to beat the mediocre teams consistently if we want to take that next step.
  8. Freddie Jackson is THE WHIP! All YE OLE heard last week from Raider Nation and the national media was how that front 7 was going to lock it down. They're mean, they're physical, they'll push us around. And this week all we hear is how badly the Raider defense played. Gave us the game even. I suppose they were just in a generous mood while Freddie was running all over them.
  9. Very little seems to have been disclosed about it from what I've seen. I had wondered, if this was a chronic condition, how these things seem to go undetected/untreated for so long. When I was in high school, we had a soccer player collapse on the field and die on the scene from a heart condition. It's just a horrific scenario. We definitely miss what Easley could've been on the field, but definitely hope for his well being in general they are able to get him right.
  10. Congratulations on the move, and more importantly your new truck. YE OLE salutes you, my good fellow.
  11. Mr. Bandito, if we win we're really going to have reevaluate our goals for this season. If we take this game on Sunday and move to 3-0, we may actually have to entertain the notion of competing for the division, as opposed to hoping to get back to mediocrity following last year's debacle. Also, "The Living Legend" Sterling Sharpe picked us to win this week on NFL Network. So clearly he is a sound football mind and the so called "experts" you have heard are MAROONS!
  12. The interesting thing about Belichick is that he is a defensive guru, yet the Patriots of recent years are known as this high flying, offensive team. Despite Belichick's pedigree on the defensive side of the ball, the Patriots defense has been average at best for a while now. You have to believe without a big time QB their team would be quite average. On the other hand, they won 11 games with Matt Cassel. But, YE OLE does find it intriguing that for as great a defensive architect Belichick has been known to be that the Patriots defense has gotten so porous.
  13. YE OLE saw this piece as well, and it was great to see how Sterling was really digging our offense. It seemed like their overall analysis was similar to those of here on this board in that we're concerned about stopping the Pats*, but are confident we'll put up points. At least all of the talking heads aren't just assuming we'll get "housed" every week at this point.
  14. This definitely has the feeling of one of those "culture changers" around here. YE OLE is not a big fan of Schopp and the Bulldog, but I think Bulldog said it best last week during their postgame show. "If the Bills beat the Patriots next week... forget it, the lid is off this thing"
  15. Brian Wilson just called and said "David Nelson is THE WHIP... FACT!"
  16. Who made it? That "slideshow" format is a bit much for a 100 player list. When the 2nd slide already brought up a pop up ad, YE OLE had to call it quits and request the cliff note version.
  17. We're definitely dealing with some "fancy" gents here in Fancy Dan and Tom Terrific... but YE OLE has to give the edge to Brady here. This Uggs thing is beyond the pail. That post game presser last week where Tom was sporting that cardigan to complement his flowing locks was pretty "fancy" as well.
  18. YE OLE is in the same boat with endless "honey do" lists during the week. But, I have to admit, this has been fun this year. The weeks are dragging a bit until game day this year it seems. Take a page from YE OLE's playbook my good fellow... I just tell the Mrs. "Now look, these lists are real important and all, but there's Bills football to deal with here, so I need to hit the board for a while and these chores will just have to get done when they get done..."
  19. YE OLE recalls Curry being a big time player out of Wake Forest, but has he done much in the NFL?
  20. The last line I saw on this game had the Over at 51.5 That just seems ridiculously low to me. YE OLE would love nothing more than for our defense to come out and dominate, but my brain tells me that there is going to be very little defense played on Sunday.
  21. It's stuff like this that just reminds YE OLE how badly we need this one Sunday. It's a decade of Tedy Bruschi, Belichick, Brady, and everyone associated with that organization that exudes this kind of arrogance. Fitzpatrick has the ability to rip New England's secondary a new on on Sunday. We know it and they know it.
  22. YE OLE just got done watching a clip of this they showed on AFC Playbook. That was some real high octave stuff for a man with a lumberjack beard!
  23. As YE OLE recalls, they were "cardiac kids" that year as well. Wasn't that the year Mike Brown made all the game winning plays and last second heroics?
  24. YE OLE doesn't know if you'd call Jasper a FRANCHISE left tackle... but the guy's a winner, bottom line.
  25. I just saw this come across ESPN a bit ago. It said 6 pounds of "the whacky weed" was found on site, but no arrests were made. 6 pounds?!
