  1. Merril Hoge here, and I'm a FACTOR BACK! I'm gonna let you know who else is gonna be a FACTOR BACK this year.
  2. Solomon Wilcotts here, lets talk some Buffalo BEEEEEEEEELS football!
  3. The health issue is a wash between the two, because they've both had significant injury problems. That being said, I don't get some fans fixation with Poz. He was a decent player, but nothing more. Granted, he had subpar lines in front of him during his time here, but he was never able to fight through blocks and be a real difference maker in anyway. He definitely was a liability in coverage. From everything I've seen and heard about Barnett, he's better in every category.
  4. Coach Sal always says that there's some Kiwis that join the show. You must be one of them! It was good show out there last night, Coach put in a good effort. Even got a Jauron Face at the end, you just can't beat that.
  5. Well played Mr. Jauronimo! Jolly good show!
  6. In Ed Kilgore's latest offering, he explains why Fitz may be entrenched at starter for the forseeable future, and goes on to explain why Trent was dubbed "Captain Checkoff" ... yes Checkoff. Good effort, Ed. Have yourself a read if you get a minute: Fitz Gives the Bills Hope "Captain Checkoff" was a nickname that stuck whether he deserved it or not, and while Edwards did have good mobility, he simply couldn't stay healthy.
  7. YE OLE is hoping for something more along the lines of 10-6, but YE definitely wouldn't be surprised to see another clunker, given our body of work this last decade. On paper it seems we could see a much improved defense with Dareus in the mix, feeding off of Kyle Williams. They both should help each other and some solid play from Edwards benefiting from playing next to both of those guys could mean we will now have a D-line to be reckoned with. If that's the case, and the offense continues to be solid with the occassional spectacular game we saw last season with Fitz at the helm, and I could see us having a winning season on our hands.
  8. The Ides o' July are upon us and YE OLE has a real simple question: does the lock out end such that we actually play the KC Chieftains on 9/11/11?
  9. Matt Williamson is watching him through his telescope.
  10. You, sir, are a maroon!
  11. YE OLE has to side with the PDaddy on this one. For those who say, "Oh the free tuition and room and board" is all the compensation they need, I ask this: If a student is at USC or Ohio State on an ACADEMIC scholarship and has a free ride, are they also prohibited to use their entrepreneurial skills to make money? I have a strong hunch that if such a student on academic scholarship started a successful business out of their dorm room, it would be celebrated as The American Dream, as opposed to being punished, suspended, having their reputation tarnished, etc.
  12. What about Picking up Change or Teen Wolf? Can Mr. Merriman entertain us with those numbers?
  13. She knows when they get home, Bill's going to show her the "OH" face... "OHHHH OHHHHHH" Get a load of that image seared into your brain!
  14. Aside from the obvious reasons already mentioned... there's also the little fact that the Bills CUT Schobel in the midst of his on again/off again retirement last offseason. If he does come out of retirement, the last place it would be is Buffalo. Nix made it clear that the team would be moving forward without #94.
  15. YE OLE thinks lining up Bulger behind Wood is most definitely the way to go.
  16. Agreed, this list of guys doesn't exactly geehaw too well with the 2nd round.
  17. YE OLE's uncle used to talk this way. He would pull into the gas station and tell the attendant "Hey guy! Give me 5 dollars of the cheap stuff!"
  18. Maybe with "Gush" Johnson out, we'll get Solomon Wilcots for more Buffalo BEEEEEEELS games in the future!
  19. EPIC FAIL ... and YE OLE likes Gus Johnson, but still... EPIC FAIL
  20. In the midst of it all, you'd see THE FLUTE MAN's face, with that majestic mullet... giving you the "OH" face...
  21. This article sheds some light on this topic, here's an excerpt with all points tantamount to the discussion: "Twenty one compensatory picks were awarded to clubs based upon the compensatory pick formula. By rule, 11 additional choices were awarded at the end of the seventh round to bring the total number of compensatory selections to 32, equaling the number of NFL clubs. The 11 additional picks were awarded to Carolina, Buffalo, Cincinnati, Denver, Cleveland, Arizona, San Francisco, Tennessee, Dallas, Washington and Houston based upon the 2011 draft selection order." http://www.nfl.com/draft/story/09000d5d81ef2e1e/article/nfl-distributes-compensatory-draft-picks-to-23-clubs
  22. Agreed. There's definitely some risk, but I think this kid's upside far outweighs it. Here's another interview they did with him a week or so ago, he comes across as a very genuine young man. I'm definitely rooting for him. I hope we end up with him as a Bill. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lip0BsrBxNg&feature=relmfu
  23. A different type of Da'Quan Bowers post... very impressive young man: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQwgGup2JS0 P.S. - YE OLE believes we NEED this guy at 34!
  24. I completely agree. We could end up with 3 star caliber players across the line with Bowers/Williams/Dareus, and yes that would change everything. I realize Bowers is a roll of the dice, but at 34 you take it. If he pans out, our d-line could go from a major weakness to an absolute ass kicking machine. If you can win in the trenches you can turn things around quickly.
  25. Perhaps Manute Bol or his good buddy Chris Mullin whilst he stands on a stack of basketballs.
