  1. When one looks at how Wilfork handled the series of kneel downs, blasting Fitz in the head, one would have to say they would've tried to take a shot on Fitz.
  2. YE OLE did not hear Howard this morning, but I have a feeling given the magnitude of the win yesterday they will have no choice but live up to Buffalo FOOTBALL Monday.
  3. YE OLE is loving the white helmets... bringing back a lot of good memories. We're TALKIN' PROUD gents! Enjoy:
  4. At least it isn't as absurd as KC being ranked ahead of us after housing them 41-7 on their own turf.
  5. The neglect will continue to fuel Freddie. The way Freddie plays, I wouldn't want anyone else on this team right now.
  6. - How does it feel to have the Jets/Pats looking up at YOU in first place? Feels good, but we expected to be 3-0. Guys in our locker room didn't feel that it was an upset yesterday. - Feeding off of negative press. Group of guys "pile of no names" ... when nobody gives you credit/respect you have to go out and earn it, they feed off of it. - Very powerful when you get a group of guys who weren't given a chance... biggest example is Fred Jackson: inspirational leader. - Pats are a tough team, never want to spot them 21 points. But there was no panic at all. They knew they needed help from D and get turnovers. D stepped up huge in second half. At the half they said "We did it last week... did it last year in Cincinnati... lets go do it again. Lets go shock the world" - Went through growing pains last year with new coach/system. A lot of new players/young players and lost a lot of close games. Probably were better than 4-12 last year, but sometimes you have to go through bad times to get to the good times. A year together in the system and playing together has helped. Tough losses last year helped teach them how to win this year. - How does Stevie get so open? "I don't know. He's not extremely fast or extremely quick or anything that would jump out in a combine setting. But he just gets open... you can't cover him. I saw it day 1 when I got to Buffalo and we were both on the scout team." - Fred is inspirational leader, not always with words but actions on the field. Making blocks, catching passes, doing everything. - Fans of Buffalo feel a certain kinship and connection with you. Do you feel it? "I absolutely do. When I first signed everyone asked 'Why would you want to go to Buffalo?' I Didn't know a lot about the city when we moved there, but my family has loved living here." - How fired up are you for iPhone 5? They will probably launch it when he has to be working, so his wife will be in line to get it. - What do you expect iPhone5 to have that iPhone 4 didn't? "I don't know... it's more just about having the iPhone 5. Then you can look at the guy with iPhone 4 and laugh at him."
  7. A whole lot of people are looking bad right now. In all fairness, we had those amongst us calling for another 4 win season. YE OLE was thinking 10-6, but is considering adjusting that prediction after the mayhem we've stirred up these first 3 weeks.
  8. That had to be the most eventful series of kneel downs YE OLE has ever witnessed.
  9. YE OLE will summarize. He'll be on in a few minutes. Edit: Rome just said Fitz is running a few minutes late. Will be calling in shortly.
  10. Jim Rome will have Fitz on at 12:30... Rome is giving us huge props. ALL BILLS in the first segment. Love him or hate him, Rome gives us credit when it's due.
  11. Indeed, my good fellow. Lest we forget Green Bay is still a tough out.
  12. YE OLE has to go with the George Wilson pick. That was a total game changer. The Pats go in there they go up by 14.
  13. All we have to do is keep winning. We're all gun shy because of how '08 turned out, but this team sure has a different feel to it. Our offense is just an absolute beast right now.
  14. I don't think it's wise to doubt our team, given what they've shown. YE OLE doesn't want to continue to spot teams points, but if they can spot New England 3 TD's out of the gate and then just turn it on and roll them 34-10 the rest of the way, I'd have to say we're never out of the game.
  15. They got that WOOOOOOD right heerrrrrre!
  16. This team has such a unique feel about it right now. Thurman just rushing the podium like that... I mean where the hell else does that happen? That was, dare I say, epic.
  17. Old Sully was sure full of piss and vinegar on the pregame show this morning. Guess even he has to change his tune over this one.
  18. YE OLE thinks you're spot on. The Patriots had become this generation's 70's Dolphins. September 7th, 1980 and September 25th, 2011 will always be intertwined in Buffalo Bills lore, IMHO.
  19. YE OLE can't figure it out either. I loved the guy before all of this, but Freddie has just taken things to a whole new level.
  20. YE OLE was surprised at how respectful the fans on their message board seemed all week leading up to this game. Ironically, the Chiefs fans were by far the most arrogant. They were going to destroy the lowly Bills and anything else was simply not possible.
  21. Good old Rodney and Tedy Bruschi. Gracing us with brilliance everywhere they go.
  22. Buddy really wasn't selling us a bill of goods when he said that group is better than we think. Hard to believe, but apparently Buddy does know more than YE OLE. I thought these guys were terrible.
  23. 38 points per game, 3-0, in first place... We must have just got in the way back machine and jumped back 20 years.
  24. Simon, anytime you can invoke the legendary Bear Bryant into a thread, it is a good day. I salute you, my good fellow. When Chan went for that 4th and 14, YE OLE was like "Holy ****, we're not serious about this are we?" Then we really did it! It was like Chan was sending a personal message to Billy Boy saying "We're the the #1 offense in the league, 4th and 14 ain't ****" We didn't get it, but still loved the call.
  25. YE OLE has heard more theories as to the genesis of Belichick's tantrum today than Carter has liver pills. He was very coy about it in the post game presser as well. I'm not sure if we'll ever know for sure what it was all about. Clearly he had to take a timeout either way as the clock was going to start running. The most plausible theory to me seems to be that he was lobbying for more time to be added. In all honesty, I think he just couldn't fathom that after spotting his squad 3 TD's we totally destroyed them the rest of the game and he knew it was over at that point.
