  1. Last I heard, it will changeas early as 2012 if adopted. My gut tells me, however, that it will be adopted. I think the Toronto series contract runs through 2014 or so but alas Ye is not sure.
  2. Ye Ole got to thinking today... what impact will the enhanced schedule have on the Toronto series? If we are now down to only 2 preseason games, will they still play one in Toronto, or will there be 2 regular season games in Toronto, still leaving 7 at the Ralph? Obviously, there's been much speculation that more games would move to Toronto in the future anyway, but will this new schedule (and Ye believes that it will come to fruition) hasten such a decision. What say you?
  3. No. Maybin is just a very sucky player.
  4. Incorrect my good fellow. James "hot rod" Harris was no Drew Bledsoe
  5. This conversation begins and ends with Drew Bledsoe.
  6. No sign of Marshawn, but Der Kommisar's in town, OH OH!
  7. Thanks for the link my round receptacle of beer... I think my favorite quote of the day came from Corny Green: “Trent is ready man, Trent is ready to go,” said Green after Tuesday’s practice. “He’s talking to us every day. We’re amongst him every day. We’re just trying to jell right now.” Corny went on to say... "Just his confidence man,” said Green. “He’s confident with what he wants to do. He wants to lead a team. He’s had some years in the league and he just wants to be able to get this team past that point of just being a good team and getting to the playoffs. He works with us every day. We eat breakfast together. We’re chatting with him so I’m looking forward to working with him.” The rest of the NFL best beware... Trent is no longer happy with us being just another good team... we're takin it to the next level!
  8. At one time Flutie was the whip shizzle... for this you cannot deny.
  9. Culpepper used to be the whip shizzle... for this you cannot deny.
  10. As I clearly stated, I'm not happy with the present state. But we have all these assclowns predicting that we'll win 3 or 4 games every season like clock work, when over the past 8 seasons we've been the quintessential 7-9 team. I'm not happy with 7-9, but the fact is to me that's mediocre. There's a far sight between that and 1-15, 2-14, 3-13. We talk about these over night transformations from 1-15 to 11-5, and how Chan is hopeful we can do something like that. My point is we're not nearly as far in the hole as some make it out to be. If we found a way to win 2 or 3 more games (not 10 more games) per season, even during the Jauron era, we would've made the playoffs and even possibly won the division a time or two. I'm sick of hearing prognosticators say we're going to go 3-13 and be the worst team in the NFL next year. It's not going to happen.
  11. Beerball, my good fellow, what irritates YE OLE about all of these experts consistently predicting us to finish dead last is they do it so smugly and they've been consistently wrong. We've got guys like Marshall Faulk predicting 3-13 every year and then coming back the next season and laughing at us some more while making the same lame prediction. We haven't been nearly as bad as the hype that follows us. Don't get YE wrong... we should not be happy with our current situation, but the proper term for the last decade would be "mediocre" We've consistently been in the middle third of the league. Over the last 8 seasons we average out to 7-9, not 3-13. 7-9 is a small improvement away from being in the playoffs. I'm not saying we deserve to be in the conversation with playoff contenders until we prove it, but we sure as hell should not consistently be picked to finish with the Lions, Rams, Raiders, etc. YE OLE could handle predictions of 6-10 or 7-9... that very well could be accurate, but I get the feeling guys like Peter King and Marshall Faulk truly believe that we've been the laughing stock of the league for the last decade and it's simply not true.
  12. Must be all that "piston pumping" action
  13. There's something ironic about a poster calling himself captain winkie criticizing my shake weight thread. Plus I can totally see levitre finishing up a set and gasping "oh that's it!" Just like in the commercial. That's how the "rooster blockers" train.
  14. Word is that Levitre,Wang, Wood and the rest of the oline have started a new strength training regimen and have really beefed up this year. Apparently this is the routine they've been doing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbsSeVr5NSI&sns=em
  15. I'm the defensive rookie of the year and for a lot of you that's a pretty tough nut to swallow. .. I got the biggest house and the prettiest ladies... all because I'm the champ'yun! Whoooooooooo!
  16. Yeah, that's the interview to which YE OLE was referring. Real classic stuff.
  17. Obviously YE OLE was pulling for Byrd in the re-vote, and it seems absurd to YE that Cushing somehow won the re-vote, but aside from these feelings of bitterness and angst, did anyone catch Cushing's response to the results of the re-vote? Did anyone else think he came off like a complete douche? It was like he was up there grandstanding and flaunting it, "stylin' and profilin' " if you will. I halfway expected him to start waxing poetic like the legendary Ric Flair: "Jairus Byrd... Clay Matthews... you're pretty good, but guess what? You're not... THE CHAMP'YUN! WHOOOOOO"
  18. RealityCheck, in honor of you sir:
  19. Agreed, just to clarify, I was referring to the backs we've brought in since the T-Henry era, however I failed to mention this. Certainly if Spiller is anywhere near OJ's athletic abilities we will all be thrilled.
  20. You need 3 good backs to win in this league. In case Willis and Ray Rice go down, they'll be able to win games with Marshawn. It's that's simple.
  21. Ben Roethlesberger is that guy that invites himself to your backyard BBQ. Nobody really likes him, you don't want him there, but he shows up anyway. Then, during the BBQ, when you're having a nice round of Jarts, Big Ben is that guy that thinks he's suddenly an Olympic hero and decides to get a running start and chuck the Jart as though he were throwing a javelin, only to have it soar over your fence and shatter your neighbor's kitchen window. Then he gives you that blank stare and is like "oh **** dude... I gotta go" On a scale of 1 to awesome, just how good is CJ Spiller going to be? For all of the running backs we've drafted and acquired here (many of which have been very good), none have been that shifty/burner type of back that can single handedly make plays when nothing is there. Who will emerge as the starting QB? YE OLE's money is on Brohm.
  22. YE OLE has a very simple take on this: anyone who thinks that Brohm or Meredith can't make it big because they were on the Packers PS is a MAROON. However, that is not to say that either are guaranteed to turn into anything. The great thing about this situation for us is, there is no risk and all reward. We didn't give anything for these guys. The thing YE OLE struggles with in regard to this issue is quite simply, how many Kurt Warner type stories do we have to see before we accept that players... even GREAT players DO slip through the cracks. Jason Peters went undrafted in '04 and then was cut and put on our practice squad... only later to develop into a pro bowl left tackle. Are there really those of us that are still making an argument that Brohm can't be good simply because he was relegated to the Packers practice squad? Bottom line is Meredith and Brohm have serious potential be good players. Get them in the right situation and they may flourish. There's just no way to tell yet... but to write them off based on this is ridiculous.
  23. Thank you so much for this link MattyT... the information I had found earlier didn't sound like there was an extension on this beyond March 31, 2010. Thank you all so much for your outpouring of support. It truly is like a family around here. Just reading over these responses tonight has truly lifted my spirits, in what has been an otherwise rough night. You guys are truly awesome.
  24. As many of you know... YE OLE has been a larger than life almost cartoonish personality, hoping to bring levity and laughter to my fellow Bills fans. Tonight, however, I do ask for your prayers and support. As some of you know, Mrs. YE OLE is set to deliver our 2nd child anyday, in what has been a very complicated pregnancy. Fortunately YE OLE had a decent job as a branch manager with Bank of America, however, tonight his employment was terminated and he was walked out of his office by upper management as we are facing numerous branch closures in our area and YE was squeezed out. This simply could not have come at a worse time, as my medical benefits from work were essential due to the bills that we will rack up without them in the midst of this pregnancy and the issues it has caushed Mrs. YE OLE. In face of this stress at this crucial time in the YE OLE household, I ask for your thoughts and prayers, and if anyone has any leads for a potential job opening for a former branch manager/retail manager... or just an all around personality the likes of YE OLE, please let me know. At the very least, YE will be home to pull for our Sabres tomorrow afternoon. GO BILLS GO SABRES LETS GO BUFFALO
