Buffalo Bill Cowher... is it possible that Big Ben will become Buffalo Ben Roethesberger? How many times did we hear, Ben was Donahoe's guy going into that draft and got bumped out by the Steelers? Could it be coming full circle?

I have to echo this sentiment. We were reading posts like this a decade ago. Lets get younger... strip the roster down... rebuild with young talent in the draft, etc. No one is saying that's not of virtue to the team, but come on... this is all bull shiznat at this point. Teams are going from last place to winning the division from one year to the next. During this same period of futility for our beloved Bills, teams have gone from 3-13 to winning Super Bowls the next season. There's no reason to sit here and be satisfied with more rebuilding and a refusal to be a contender as quickly as possible. I'm not suggesting taking the Washington route and getting all the wrong pieces... but I'm also not accepting an effort that takes 3-4 years at best to build up a contender. I mean hell we're soon going to have a generation of Bills fans who have never seen the playoffs.

Lets call him Chad "stay away from ME Gold!" Jackson... for posterity sake, of course.

Ok... as many of you know by now, YE OLE and Mrs. YE OLE are expecting their second born any day now and just in time for another run at Lord Stanley's Chalice... I am looking for infant/newborn Sabres and Bills jerseys. I've tapped all of my usual sources and have only found actual jersey's in the 12 month variety. I've found many other pieces of 'gear' that will serve Lil' Cotton well for the upcoming playoff run, but would like an actual jersey for him. I know some of you here are adept at some of the more 'nontraditional' sources... any ideas? YE OLE thanks you in advance! Also, for those who have not yet heard it... the '09-'10 Sabres playoff anthem by the Jambrones is a must listen... put together very nicely:

This guy is hands down the best player in this draft. I've heard some experts dub him the best player to come out of college in a number of years, going as far as to call him a "once in a generation" type talent. I really think this guy is going to be special. I think he could honestly play DE opposite Stroid in our 3-4. If we could still keep our 2nd this year and somehow put a package together with Detroit, I'd love to get Cody at NT, and flank him with Stroud, and Suh. I'm perfectly aware that our offense very well may still suck, but I'd love to see that group on the field.

Well, one thing is for certain... we are not taking him at 9, per NeverGiveUp... so that's a certainty at this point. He did seem to leave some wiggle room though that the brass may consider Clausen at a later slot (perhaps in a trade down scenario?) Personally, unless someone like Suh or Okung inexplicably fell to us at 9, I'd like to trade down to get at least 3 picks in the 25-50 range to draft LT, RT, and NT... perhaps two of the 1A tier of OT's and Cody.

Campbell has done little to impress me. He's been on some bad teams and lost a lot of games. I'm not seeing what the difference is between him and what we currently have. I'm not at all convinced that Trent will ever come back from having his bell rung, but at least prior to that he showed flashes of being a VERY good QB. I'd take a shot with him and Brohm before going for Campbell.

I agree, but if it meant getting Suh, I'm okay with that. Other positions would suffer... and it wouldn't be ideal for our O-line, but I really think Suh is worth it. He's the type of player that can single handedly change what the opposition is allowed to do. We haven't had a player like that in a very long time, and it would go a long way in helping us become a force again.

YE OLE's position is that's a bit much. I truly have no interest in Campbell coming here. Many may disagree, but I'd rather see Trent have another go at it under this new system vs. bringing in Campbell. If the guy was just floating around out there and we signed him to come in and compete, I'd be fine with that, but I don't want to sacrifice picks for the guy.

YE OLE and pBills had a dispute over Jason Campbell coming to the Bills. So, YE OLE wants to know, what say you?

I believe he said that Clausen definitely would NOT be the Bills pick at 9. I think he said the only guy they had rated that high at QB was Bradford.
